Former WWE Divas, Trish Stratus and Lita appeared on Live Audio Wrestling just moments ago. Read our recap below:
They are asked what they’re up to. Trish says they’ve been talking for a while about ideas to do together. Amy says they both knew they were retiring and wanted to go out with a bang. They went to many different roadside attractions like Graceland & the Alamo. Would joke and say, “What are they going to do? Fire us?” Traded DVDs with each other, especially Mexican horror films and Mexican wrestling films. Trish says she called Lita and they’re working towards doing a wrestling movie together — an homage to Mexican wrestling films. Opportunity just came up suddenly. Lita says she wants to expose modern wrestling fans to this genre. Host says you get matches in these movies, that they’re like superhero wrestlers vs monsters. Very over the top and campy. Lots of chatter about different Mexican wrestling films. Trish says they will be the wrestling women in the movie. Made mention of a wrestling move done by an actress in Iron Man 2. Lita says the project is in very early stages.
They next take phone calls. Britney wants to wrestle, but has been told she’s too little, even though she’s about Rain’s height. Advice? Trish says things might hurt a little more but she’s not too little.
Email from Stephanie about decline in WWE women’s division, what needs to be changed in WWE to give the remaining women a chance? Lita says do some research instead of modeling. Trish says there needs to be a screening process, solid wrestling background. Make the moment yours to stand out. Look at Daffney, she’s made herself stand out. Lita says you need a boot camp like Funkin’ Dojo to see who really wants it & who doesn’t. Trish feels like the women are using wrestling as a stepping stone to something else, they need to leave if it’s not their passion. Lita thinks there should be a requirement to know wrestling history, do research/homework. Both feel very strongly about knowing wrestling history and having a solid background as a requirement.
Chris on phone – they retired early. Why is it hard for some wrestlers to retire & walk away? They can come and go as they please. Trish says they have passions outside of wrestling they were able to pursue once they were out. Lita said she felt like she’d accomplished everything there was and could walk away, see what else is out there. Host asks what’s going on with the Luchagors? Lita says that music was natural for her, but the band is on hiatus doing other things with other people, hoping to get back together at start of new year.
Chris emails about rumors on Trish playing Sonya Blade in next MK movie? Trish is available but has not been contacted. Not sure if Bail Enforcers will be available in US theaters, have to wait and see.
Caller John – is there room for stronger females in a main event role? Trish says there is plenty of room. Chatter about when they main evented Raw. Didn’t know Lita’s bump was as bad as it looked until they saw the replay. Lita was sore next few days but not as bad as it looked.
Robert emails about a WWE Divas DVD. Trish says she has not been contacted. Lita neither. No new stuff done with them if there is a Divas DVD in the making (no interviews, etc.).
Caller Tony – favorite city to wrestle in? Real opinion on Chyna? Trish – Toronto. Lita – Chicago, anywhere in Texas, great fans in both places. Trish – didn’t get a chance to know her real well, wasn’t welcomed by Chyna. Did great stuff in WWE. Lita – she was great to her, worked out with her. Not spoken to her since leaving.
Details on Lita’s new restaurant: she says it’s still in development, hopefully will be open by November. European coffee shop/bar, breakfast & lunch, open late night. All day breakfast. Lots of food talk. Opening in Atlanta.
Caller Chris asks about their favourite movies in 2010? Lita says she wants to see Piranha 3D. Trish says she has not seen any movies, but there is a clip of Bail Enforcers on her website.
When do they get to suggest storylines after joining the WWE? Trish says they’re open to listening, timing is everything, see where you fit in. They won’t deny a great idea. Anything they didn’t get to do? Jericho and Trish wanted to be a babyface couple originally but that was changed. Anything they didn’t want to do? Trish says she had no problem barking like a dog because it built towards WrestleMania and built the storyline. Stacy & Torrie were crawling over each other & they wanted Trish & Torrie to do it with a kiss at the end. Trish refused.
Caller Marlon asks about Trish’s separated shoulder at Backlash 2006, who screwed it up Mickie James or Trish? Trish says it was no one’s fault.
Caller Barobie asks for any fave road stories? Host – fave ribs? Lita says there were 2 lockerooms and a new girl had put her stuff in the wrong one. Randy complained and got 2 women to distract the new girl. He went in and cut up the girl’s clothing and poured baby oil on them.
Caller Bradley asks about their fave music? Trish – everything. Lita – punk rock.
Email Jimmy asks if there anything they miss about the WWE? Lita says she can’t slap people around at will. Trish says she feels fulfilled doesn’t miss anything.
Trish plugs TrishStratus.com and says they will update regarding the movie there.
Overall a good interview. Both sounded very happy, excited about the movie project and other future events. Both obviously feel strongly about the current direction of the WWE women’s division and that it needs to be put back on track by hiring women who know wrestling history.

Thanks a lot Jennifer I appreciate the immediate recap. I was trying to listen to it but to no avail. Technical issues. So I was following you and Melanie on twitter lol. Well….I thought they would annouce they were making a guest appearance later tonight on RAW. Guess not. But a movie? Errrr…well…just because its them two, I support them. Lita and Trish are awesome. Lita lol, slapping people at will! Hahaha
I was listening to the interview until my father came home with the groceries and had to help out so I didn’t get to finish it…. All I reached was the part where Britney called…

@Fanboy – I believe it was Lauren who Randy Orton did that too. Well according to reports anyway. And I guess the reports were also wrong on the new Divas DVD. You know honestly, I imagined they would announce they would be helping out with NXT Rookie Divas…that would have rocked.

Donnie – welcome! It was a good interview, they both came across as really happy and ‘at peace’ with where they are right now. I’m glad they’re both strong advocates of what could be done to improve the current division, even though it’s doubtful the WWE would listen. But nice to know it’s still a passion for them.

it was a great interview and i thinks its cool they are working on the movie and it sounds like they are gonna be wrestling the movie so maybe once they star training again they might want to make an appearance or two
also i loved lita’s idea of putting new girls (id extebd it to the males too) through a little bootcamp to see whos really devoted to this line of work it could weed out the girls that r just in it for the fame
Amy & Trish in a movie thats uber cool.. Iam sure it will be worth watching imo.. I wish I was in U.S so that I could visit Amy’s new restro :)
It makes me happy that both feels that the diva division should focuse on wrestling and NOT modelling.. and both seem to be very optimistic about their future projects. I wish Amy & Trish appear at 900th episode of Raw but I knw dats not gonna happen :(
Amy is in her BEST shape at the moment and I love the fact that she is back to REDHEAD.. ( Love her in red hair..classic LITA)

Alright the replays are available and unfortunately..its like 2hrs long so you don’t get to Lita and Trish until hour 2. I tried it through my phone and had problems. I was trying to forward it and then it would keep taking me back to the start! =( its so annoying having to hear Paul Heymans voice on the intro for 100 times! “This time we’re going to pour our Kool Aid…” blah blah blah…nails on a chalkboard. So sadly, I couldn’t sit here at 2am through a whole hour of nothing I cared for to get to the good part. If anyone knows where I can get the cut version(just Lita and Trish), please let me know. Thanks.
I’ve seen some of the old Lucha movies and they are hilarious.
A modernized version with LIta & Trish should be amazingly fun.
I seriously enjoyed this audio show. It’s nice to know that Trish and Amy haven’t sunken into obscurity after all these years. I would want to have Trish and Amy do a shoot interview. That would be awesome.
Some Lita fans are so superficial, it is quite unreal. I knew when I first looked at the image that when I read the comments, at least 1 Lita fan would comment on how Trish is pictured as Womens Champ and Lita is not…god sake get a grip. And stop typing Lita’s name like this “LITA” why do so many of her fans always type her name in capitals?
Anyway, I always like to read/hear about news on past WWE Divas and what they are up to.
Together they’re literally a force to be reckon with. I’m really excited about whats to come from this gathering. Hopefully, praying that they will get back on WWE and do a segment/match vs Laycool. That would be epic. They are pretty much the next Moolah and Mae Young. I’m excited!

@ddarko: Kerry is actually quite predictable and funny. For someone who seems to dislike Lita, s/he loves to rag about her way too often. Maybe she got put in her place by a Lita fan in the past. But then again, I wouldn’t be surprised if s/he painted herself/himself in a corner the way s/he keeps on doing every time s/he makes a ridiculously obsessive remark… like the previous one. :)

Did all three of you have to reply saying the same thing? For people who say to move on and ignore, why do you choose to “rag on” Kerry just for making a point about her marks. You guys are hot messes, you can’t comment on a Trish/Lita topic without having a spaz about why she doesn’t have this or doesn’t have that and then go all rage on that ass and blow up on people who don’t like her. @The Crying Light – Tell me about it lol. To be fair she(Kerry) isn’t the worst Lita hater ever. She atleast tries to be civil. Now over on youtube, its still an all out war between Lita and Trish fans. These girls are something special eh? I mean really, years later and their fans are still passionately debating who the real queen of WWE is.

Lita’s favorite music is punk rock and Latin Exotica? I’m not sure what that is..and poor Lita getting taken off TV at times for refusing angles. Interesting about the Billy and Chuck storyline. So the particular segment was when Billy and Chuck had a posedown on Smackdown against Stacy and Torrie. Originally it was supposed to be Trish and Torrie ending with a kiss. I’m glad Trish didn’t do that nor Playboy. I’m sure it would break records but somethings aren’t worth it. Trish is so nice about Chyna despite Chyna being a bitch towards her. Honestly I loved the whole thing and wish they could have their own radio hour. They’re both very charming, funny and witty. Very fun. It should have gone longer.
you gotta think about it like this trish was pretty much always champion so there probably wasnt too many non champion pics to choose from but i love that picture of lita she looks amazing in it so i dont really care
Randy did that to a girl named Rochelle Loewen. Rumors said that Rochelle didn’t recognize Randy (which is ridiculous, I mean who goes to WWE without knowing Randy?), Randy got pissed and “vandalized” her stuff. Some rumors even said he defecated on it. This kinda proves Randy’s innocence.
This Rochelle, and also Amy Webber, even said he harassed them, but Hemme then defended Randy.
The movie seems interesting.
I love them both I never got the whole fanbase bashing thing just to childish for my taste. They both seem really happy and I’m very proud of them for going out and doing new things. I do like that they pointed out the girls bare responsibility for the way things are currently. Some people are just to quick to blame it all on the company.
