TNA President, Dixie Carter has announced a live edition of Impact on October 7th via her Twitter page. She writes:
TNA iMPACT! is going LIVE on 10/7. Remember my tweet about how TNA is going to change forever? Stay tuned.
I’m not sure if this is a permanent weekly switch or just this episode. Guess we’ll know more soon.

but live episodes were rubbish for the knockouts! hope it’s not a permanent change, even if the surprise of matches and their results would be nice.
Well sometimes i wish they were live so i wouldnt know the matches, i try to stay away from spoilers but i can’t help myself.

Dixie Cradle keeps on saying tna is going to change 4 ever!!! every god damn month I hear the same crap from her whats sad about is its never about the knockouts or the X-division its all about bringing old men to the company who can berely walk.
She needs to shut her F’N mouth cuz tna is changing in a bad way. I mean no 1 wanna see old men wrestling .

i don’t like want to see “old men wrestling”, so i don’t watch it. pretty simple.
what would this mean for tna reaction? it’s a great show and i’d hate to see them stopping it just so impact could be live.

I don’t even watch it anymore + I only watch the knockouts matches and the X-division.
I’m nervous about it being live, because even the Knockouts haven’t impressed me entirely live. I can only hope it’s not a permanent thing.
So this is the announcement she said was gonna change TNA forever? Fail. Just think when they bring Lacey back in the ring; OH GOD NO!! I think it’s better taped because they can edit out botches & mess ups. And they can time the commercials better.
I would love live impacts! It would bring back the surprise element for a lot of us who can’t stay away from spoilers and perhaps drawn in more viewers. I love that idea and I hope she means it will be live permanently. Who doesn’t love live wrestling shows on TV? =)
I honestly don’t watch it either. I used to watch the entire thing but its not that good anymore. I usually just watch the Knockouts and anything that involves the MCMGs
This is a very bad idea. After that the next thing u know is the knockouts will be getting 1 minutes matches and it’s a shame that Dixie is a female that Dosnt care about her female workers.

the argument over women ring time suddenly getting less has always peeved me. go back to when the knockouts first began, very few of their matches went beyond 3 minutes.. and it’s the same with the divas, back when trish and lita were at the helm of the division, or even a bit further back to jackie, sable and chyna, very few of the divas matches went past 2 or 3 minutes, as well!
lack of ring time for the women isn’t anything new. at least with tna, though, most of the men’s matches get the same treatment.

SO true!! Go back to the time most praised in main stream womens wrestling. The Molly Holly, Trish, Lita, Victoria, Jazz era and you will find TONS of 5-6 minute match. “Certain” fans seem to LOVE to complain though, so don’t expect that to change.

because they were going up against the juggernaut WWE, which was not a smart move. They have no (wrestling)competition on thursdays.
