Contrary to what was originally reported, the Knockouts match at No Surrender will be a grudge match between Madison Rayne and Velvet Sky, as announced on Impact.
The match is being billed as the first ever singles match between the two former tag team partners.
No Surrender airs on pay per view this Sunday.

perhaps now the people complaining about the ppv match before it was even announced will calm down :p

I believe that this will be a better match than Angelina vs Madison for the title. I mean hasn’t everyone wanted to see this match, in terms of the storyline not like a dream match. It also shows that we will probably see Tara vs Angelina for the 45156346th time and for the title.
Velvet had that Street fight against ODB once.
I think that would count.

You can always count on Bischoff to take “Exciting time for the Knockouts!” and coldly, nonchalantly turn it into “A short botchfest we gave away for free just the other week!”. It’s ridiculous. A throwaway match on the way to Bound For Glory, further reinforcing ‘No Surrender’ as ‘Nobody Should Order.’
The best thing they said in the promos is “Look what we created” with Madison Rayne. Boy, did they ever. Now she seems to believe that she is the cornerstone of the TNA Knockouts, upholding the legacy and dishing out dues, when she’s still greener than 1/3 of the chicks going on NXT 3. She’s come a long way, at the same time, I don’t think she is that far off of where she was during their real ratings heyday, a show piece on the side of TBP’s entrance. Real talk?
At least it isn’t a tag team match. Even though I think Velvet kinda sucks in the ring, I’m expecting a brawl like match, and that’s good, since you don’t have to do super hard moves in that. Give Velvet some weapons and it will be fine.
