… Maryse! In a flip-flop of last year’s top two, the two time Divas Champion has replaced Melina at the apex of this year’s 50 Sexiest Divas countdown, thwarting the current Divas Champion’s chances of a three-peat.
Maryse was last year’s #2, narrowly coming behind Melina and this year, narrowly beating Melina. In 2008, she ranked at #15 on the countdown.
This year’s chart saw more votes than ever. 15,000 votes were cast over the course of the competition.
Also making the top 10 is Mickie James, holding onto her #3 spot from last year, despite being released earlier this year. Mickie’s charting shows her continuing popularity even without a WWE spotlight.
WWE Women’s Champion, Layla, makes a big leap from last year’s #15 to #4 this year, perhaps attributed to her rising star power as one half of Lay-Cool.
Two big debuts inside the top 10 include SHIMMER’s Tenille Tayla and Wrestlicious’ Lizzy Valentine. The two independent stars are without the exposure of a big national company like WWE or TNA, which makes their debuts all the more impressive.

Totally well deserved. Not a fan of her in ring work, but you know a woman is the sexiest when she gets the amazing amount of catcalls she gets.
So happy for Tiffany. I find her really gorgeous. Surprised Lizzy made it that far, but she is gorgeous. Its actually surprising how she isn’t in WWE.

Good for her, as untalented as she is inside the ring, she’s one gorgeous woman, so this is well deserved.

Only one favorite of mine is in the top 10 and that is Tenille. Not surprised at who is in the top 5 & that Maryse won. Anyways, this has been a great list for me. 14 of my favorites were on it. Those 14 being MsChif, Rain, Jessie McKay, Tenille, Serena, Katie Lea, LuFisto, Rayna Von Tosh, Jemma Palmer, Taylor Wilde, Beth Phoenix, Nattie Neidhart, Daffney, and Cheerleader Melissa. I am very happy that these women were recognized on the list. In particular the Indy girls, the ones that are my favorites and all of the rest. I am grateful to this website for all of the women’s wrestling you cover. I am very grateful in particular to the Indy stuff. I love the Indies and I am eternally happy for the time and coverage you give them. I hope with this list and the Indy news that you cover that other DD fans that are just WWE & TNA fans decide to check them out and become Indy fans as well. I wanted Rayna Von Tosh to be #1 but i am not surprised that she wasn’t. Also to the people who are commenting about how certain girls should be higher than others because you find them prettier. I find that disrespectful. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I in particular find women like MsChif & LuFisto to be very beautiful and sexy. More so then Maryse and Kelly Kelly but that is just me.

I always criticize Maryse for her ring work. But she is growing on me and she is very very beautiful, especially when her hair is styled. I don’t think that picture does her justice though. She has very good features and it doesn’t show them off at all. But anyway… good for her.
