NXT season three kicks off tonight, but before that, we’re helping you get acquainted with the cast of NXT 3! Today, we look at Maxine, the current General Manager in FCW, who will be paired up with former Divas Champion, Alicia Fox.

This sassy 24-year old Latina hasn’t got much experience in the ring, but has made her mark in other ways in Florida Championship Wrestling in the past year. Maxine, real name Karlee Perez, made her debut as Candy Girl, managing Sweet Papi Sanchez. Upon leaving Sanchez, Candy Girl became Liviana and she aligned herself with whoever was in power, whether it’s Abraham Washington or Norman Smiley, cementing her reputation as a gold digger. Her ambitious attitude has recently netted her the position of FCW General Manager. Maxine has also made her mark in the ring as well:

Obviously, Maxine’s ring work isn’t her strong suit but judging from her NXT promo, she seems to be the only Rookie Diva with a solid character. Much like Maryse, she may be able use her charisma to distract from the fact that she isn’t exactly a wrestling prodigy.
I see Maxine being one of the first girls cut from NXT this season, but I see her being a part of the main roster (in a non-wrestling role) soon. We”l just have to wait and see how she fares on tonight’s premiere of NXT.

Question: Y did you pick this and not her match with Naomi Night in th FCW divas Chamionship tournament. That is really the match where she shows her skills this was kinda old

Yeah. I liked her match with Naomi better. And, she really played well with her character by getting in costume with the glasses, etc. I don’t think Maxine will have much luck in a Wrestling career, but she could be something special when it comes to character. If I was Maxine, I would watch over old Dawn Marie and Stacy Keibler segments when they were heel and study and aim for that while giving the gimmick it’s own twist. Because, Maxine already reminds me a lot of Dawn. I don’t think that she should be the FIRST to go, maybe the second or third depending on who exactly is Vickie’s rookie. But, she probably will be the first considering Jamie apparently has a fanbase? So, they’ll probably pick Jamie over Maxine even though I think Maxine has a more interesting character than Jamie does, if Jamie even has a character at all, that is. Hope to see Maxine go onto Smackdown or Raw and continue her gimmick after she’s most likely eliminated.

I totally agree with xfrenchkiss, too me she gives off a real Dawn Marie-ish vibe. The trouble with Liviana (I’m calling her that; much cooler) is that nowadays WWE expect every single woman on the roster to be a regular wrestler, and they don’t really have room for women who are purely managers/characters. If she *was* used in a Dawn-ish role and I wasn’t made to wrestle rather than speak and manage and stuff then she could do well, but I cant see that being the case.

I think WWE is doing a pretty fair job with Maryse who has made her transition from a regular used heel and former Diva's Champion to a possibly temporarily managing/valet role.She's barely used in the ring during Diva matches, and hasn't won one single match since becoming Ted's valet. But they're using her so often that us Maryse fans can't complain, too much anyway [; about her role because she's still on our TV screens, thankfully. I think they could do the same with Maxine! That girl was born to be a character, not a wrestler and if WWE push her to be an only in ring competitor, people are going to complain about her wrestling like they did with Maryse after she returned from injury. If she's in a non wrestling role, people may actually grow to like her. Aka, the case that could've been done with Maria if they just kept her butt outta' the ring!! -_-

Maxine deserves some more credit than that. She is actually one of the few technical divas we have.

These videos don’t high light her as well as other videos could have. I’ve seen her in better matches. I think she’ll keep improving in and out of the ring. But agree with one thing….she’s awsome on the mic. Sassy character / manager works.
