We’re back with another video exclusive from last weekend’s SHIMMER festivities, this time we have a video interview with our very own Diva Dirt LIVE co-host, Mia Yim! Mia competed on the SHIMMER pre-show, SPARKLE, both Saturday and Sunday.
In this interview, Mia, who’s boyfriend is deaf, even signed what she was saying for all her hearing impaired fans! Check it out below:

Juniper, My boyfriend is fully deaf. He goes to an all deaf school in DC where I visit him, and most of the time stay (people think im a student there) so I have made alot of deaf & Hard of Hearing friends. Alot of interviews dont have CC (Closed Captions), so I dont want to leave my boyfriend and hearing impaired friends out from my interviews. So that is the reason why I like to sign during interviews and my background with the deaf community.
Between now and the next Shimmer tapings, you should devise some way to get back at Joey for his interview-bombing shenanigans. ;)
@Miayim No idea that you posted here. Thanks reallly awesome and sorry to put it in these terms but if I apart of the marketing process in a major Wrestling company Id be all over that. It would be a great way to reach out to kids who sign.
By the by I just read about the old Smokey Mountain Wrestling company performing at a all deaf school in the mid 1990s and it sounded like the coolest thing ever. With wrestlers relying on their body lanuage rather than the sound of the themselves or the ring. Sadly I dont think it exists on tape.
WWE used to have some of their shows signed in the UK in the early hours of the morning too.
