SHIMMER has released a full-length match from pre-show, SPARKLE, which was filmed at the tapings earlier this month. The match features our own Mia Yim teaming up with Taylor Made against Maja Svensson (also known as Mia Svensson) and Mena Libra. Check it out below:

Mia’s got some STIFF kicks. Reminds me of certain Joshi wrestlers from Japan. Taylor Made looks pretty good too. Can’t wait to see both of them making the SHIMMER main show.

I would like for Shimmer to release the full pre-shows of SPARKLE either on youtube or as a bonus extra on DVD. So us fans that were not able to go see Shimmer live could be able to see it.

ecwroh — As Dave Prazak explained it to me, the pre-show matches are technically not to be seen on DVD etc., they are for SHIMMER management to see these talents in action in a tryout. They film them so they can watch the matches and evaluate the wrestlers. I guess they liked what they saw in this match and decided to make it public for all to enjoy too, but usually, it’s mainly for evaluation purposes only.

Unless my memory is confused, all four of them had matches later in the weekend that were part of the regular Shimmer card. So folks should get to see them on the upcoming DVDs.

Made and Mena had a match on a volume, but Maja and Mia’s match was SPARKLE.

Damn those are the most brutal kicks i’ve ever seen from a female besides hamada i’m starting to like Mia Yim more and more and her partner taylor made made is awesome to.

the other team i don’t know which one is which but the thick girl is hard hittin and i love it the other one was alright IMO.

@Melanie: Okay. That’s cool. I understand that. I was just wondering why they don’t include them on the DVDs since they film them and now I know. I guess us fans that want to see Sparkle are gonna have to go see it live or hope for Dave to release a match on youtube. Like he did with this match. Thank you Dave for the match & thank you Melanie for the info.

The match wasn’t bad at all, yet it wasn’t as fast paced as I would have expected. Mia’s kicks were sick but ending the match with just a standard one to the back was a pretty bland finish.

Awesome match for all four ladies. I thought everyone got decent time/action involved, but god damn, if Mia Yim’s kicks were human I think I’d propose. They’re insane…

I LOVED All four of them, but, Mia Yim was my fave. I’m a sucker for shoot wrestling, and Mia is IMPRESSIVE with those kicks. Feels like i’m watching Joshi, which is a GREAT thing.

I was glad to see this match released. Mia’s kicks deserve attention; her opponents know she’s stiff. Her kick-me-goodnight finisher was not as devastating here as it has been in other matches. When she lands it flush it’s “lights out.” I was in attendance at the match and she was definitely over with the crowd — I hope she gets the invite back for the main card.
