Host venue for this Sunday’s Hell in a Cell pay per view, the American Airlines Center website is advertising a Unified Divas Championship match between Michelle McCool and Natalya.
The match has yet to be announced by WWE. It’s possible that it will be announced this Friday on the live episode of SmackDown.

They should of build up the feud until Beth returned because it isnt fair for natalya to be buried once again and they should make it a triple threat feud between michelle, natalya and melina.

Wasn’t Michelle’s first title feud with Natalya so it sort of gone full circle in the sense that Natalya and michelle are feuding again this time the roles have been reversed..

Ofc Natty doesn’t win here. That’d be stupid. If Natty wins the title then she feuds with who? Alicia? Maryse? Bleh. Better Michelle wins, with help from Layla, then Teddy or the laptop orders a rematch for Bragging Rights where Michelle, or Layla, retains via double DQ or something. Then we have Team Natalya v Team LayCool at Survivor Series and Natty finally wins at TLC, perhaps with a returning Glamazon screwing LayCool. Build the feud up over 2 months, make it personal and meaningful, then have the ‘face win.
As long as it means something for Natalya and not just a random face opponent, as a warm up until Beth returns. I just hope they aren’t feeding random faces for the time being to McCool. For example, Kelly Kelly won a battle royal last year while Maryse was champ.They had a match a week or so later which ended up in DQ, and nothing of note happened. Kelly was never pushed as a serious contender following that.
I personally think Natalya and Beth would make better heels than faces, by the way. Their strength and wrestling ability to carry matches make them more suited as heels. As faces it would make them look weak if they had to oversell the offense of weaker heel opponents. Both need to be built up as the standard to beat in terms of the Divas division. As solid as Laycool have been, I think they would need to spend some time in secondary heel roles for that to happen.
In others words WWE needs the match for the death spot of the show.
Why am I not surprised ,Once again the Divas match gets rushed…when was the last actually build u for a divas match at a PPV , the only one tht I can really think of is Mickie vs Michelle @ RR.
I wish Natalya would win this sunday but I know she isnt , so most likely Nattie is probably gnna pin Michelle or Layla this friday on SD , headn strongn in the PPV only to loose… :( Well it was fun while it lasted

Kelly won cause Maryse sprayed Mickie in the eyes, so that was only to build up the Mickie/Maryse feud I think

Even tho there was no build up I still can’t wait for this match cause both of them are awesome wrestlers
what UncleCuc said. I would really like to see that. The outcome of the match at HIAC is fairly obvious but it does have the potential to be a really good match and I’m thrilled that Nattie finally gets to wrestle =D, even if there is a criminal lack of buildup as usual. I hope they keep this feud going for a while.
As I don’t think there will be a big feud for the two, I still think it’ll be a good match. I suppose we got abit of heat from the two at NOC when Natalya said “I’m not finished with you” however its nothing to make a good storyline over. I think Michelle will win.
I definitely agree that this will be a good match- and I’m just glad Natalya is getting a title shot.
I just seriously doubt this will go much further than Hell in a Cell- @UncleCuc I think this would be a great set up for Survivor Series match with team Natalya and team LayCool.
Guys, guys, guys the only reason this match exists is to bring down the crowd between the Hell in the Cell matches. It is meant to have limited crowd interest hence why WWE didnt build it up.
I dont know where the pairing will end after Hell in the Cell though. I would at least like to think they would extend the “storyline” if they have a good match.
I don’t think Michelle wins clean- I think Layla will cause a DQ and at least one of them will end up in a Sharpshooter..
And I’ve been thinking- wouldn’t it be interesting if they tell LC that since they are the Unified champs, they have to represent both brands…and force them to lead competing tag teams at Bragging Rights (Michelle for Raw, and Layla for Smackdown)? And the other Divas decide that at some point, all of them will walk off (since they all don’t like LC that much), making it Lay vs Cool?
Since the Harts and Natalya are both (sorta) still in title contention, I see some kind of LayCool/Mcintyre/Rhodes vs Hart Dynasty/Natalya/Melina match…. would tie together some storylines, give a spectacle of a match (tag champs and unified divas champs teaming together) which suits the live smackdown, and puts a live match in the hands of trusted girls (i.e. not Kelly and Rosa…)
I see the Hart meltdown costing that team the match, them storming off, and Natalya being double-teamed by LayCool post-match.
Course I’m not a WWE booker, so none of that will probably happen….
we will assist to a deja vu from the bash 08,where McCool won in the most ridicullous way i´ve ever seen.
the match won´t last more than 3 minutes and the only doubt is how McCool will win the match.
Hmm… Michelle will more than likely retain. She’s only had the title for what? 2 weeks? Which is a shame, Natalya would do a great job as a champion. And im sure she will get to be one too. It’s a huge shame that they probably won’t be in a hell in a cell. They could easily pull it off. 2 very capable women for the job.
I’ll look forward to it. I hope smackdown gives us a little build up. If they pull of a great match on the night, who can complain?
