NXT Rookie Diva, Maxine took to her Twitter page earlier today commenting on her match with Kaitlyn last night on NXT.

Maxine wrote: “Yea [sic] the match was tough it’s hard to lead someone with 2 months experience almost impossible.”

Thoughts: Last night’s match was really, really bad. Hands-over-face-peek-through-your-fingers bad. I feel sorry for the girls involved as they do what they can. It’s WWE’s fault for throwing them on this show without enough experience. That is the problem when you have Rookies face each other with little training. Who is that helping? You’re not going to improve by wrestling someone who is as green as, or greener than, you. Sadly, we all know who the blame will fall on and it’s not the decision-makers.

Haven’t seen the match yet. Is it that bad??

I watched the match, and yes it was bad, however, i did like Kaitlyn attempting a Spine Buster and all that, you dont see very many girls doing that, and Maxine is a ground worker and she is more of a submission girl, so it makes the match boring which didnt help,

But, i hate when the divas make excuses, and that is what Maxine, is doings sure Kaitlyn only has 2-3 months of training, but still you dont blame it on them, it takes two to tango,

It does take two to tango, but when your partner has no ever-loving idea how to do the dance there is only so much you can do.

considering the opponents, i don’t think i was thaat bad. it was just really slow and off and none of the moves were strung together that well. if it was shown on fcw i think it’d be okay, but they’re on proper tv now and that kinda mess shouldn’t happen.

@SheiShepherdWWE “i did like Kaitlyn attempting a Spine Buster and all that,”

so did i, always like it when a diva gets to bust out what are widely seen as non-diva moves! although right after that she did a reverse atomic drop on maxine, which makes me believe that’s what she was originally going for lol.

agree with maxine and you melanie. the blame should solely be put on the people in charge, not the wrestlers. it just highlights how unready and what a silly move it was putting kaitlyn on the show to begin with. although saying that all the rookies have messed up in a match.. hopefully that starts to change with jillian heading up the training ground.

i love maxine as a rookie and kaitlyn as a character, hopefully it doesn’t reflect too badly on them.

Well its true. It’s not their fault that whoever’s in charge put them in a match together. As far as i know, neither of them have much experience especially Kaitlyn.

I finally realised something the only girls who have ended up being good wrestlers are the ones who have been a fan of wrestling so they have seen enough matches to learn the moves quicker because they have a better understanding of how the moves are performed. The only other good wrestlers I’ve seen are the ones who start off as wrestlers before being hired by WWE and people who train in Martial Arts.

If Maxine felt the need to comment on the match, just say ‘the match didn’t go as well as I had hoped’ or something like that. No need to call out Kaitlyn on her lack of experience, as true as it may be. Plus, if WWE decides to do a rematch next week, although I don’t know why they would, and she wins, you look a little foolish.

It wasn’t THAT terrible. I’ve seen pros botching worse. (even trish stratus did, mickie did…)

I don’t understand the fuss about it. As if this was a Sharmell vs the other one who I don’t even care to remember.

And Maxine, the botch was on you. It was a botched pinfall. Ok It’s entertainment and it’s not a real fight, but if you are pinning your opponent you are the one who needs to do the pin right.

Anyway, it wasn’t a f*ckfest. It had some good moments, all performed by Kaytlin.

…How is she calling Kaitlyn out? It’s not like it takes a rocket scientist to figure out the match sucked because of Kaitlyn’s lack of experience. It’s really no biggie. It’s not like anyone was expecting Kaitlyn to wrestle like Beth, Natalya or even Eve out there. The girl only has two months of training, so of course she’s not going to look sharp out in the ring, Maxine is just stating the obvious and I’m sure Kaitlyn probably feels the same way about it. Or else, that would make *her* look a little foolish, dontcha’ think?

I felt the match only got dreadful at the end and the attempt to shove Vickie to the ground and then the pin which I think was Maxines fault, I think Maxine pushed Kaitlyn too far and therefore Kaitlyn had to force herself back into the pinning position.

Like I said the end spinebuster/atomic-drop/pin fiasco and the little “bum bump” attack by Kaitlyn in the corner were the only cringe worthy bits in my opinion.

TBH i hope this LInda McMahon senate thing draws attention to the lack of respect for the woman in wwe, tht might wisen them up a bit ¬_¬

To be fair, neither of these girls are experienced enough to carry a match/inexperienced opponent. It’s ridiculous if you expected it to be anything other than a flop.

  12. capricornscott

For Kaitlyn only having a couple of month’s experience, I think she did pretty well. No, it was not the best match. But Maxine isn’t that good in the ring. IMO she is equally at fault for a sloppy match.

  13. mojodoom

It’s also hard to lead someone when you suck just as bad as the person you were trying to lead. Not a lot of tact there, Maxine.

  14. Goodnightddtmnm

I guess Maxine thinks she did great in her match….No Maxine it was you too…dnt pin this on kaitlyn she is a green as much as you are…..Sheesh I swear max is such a sell out…lol

WWE Divas may be “Smart, Sexy, Powerful,” but they’re missing the most important ingredient “Talent.” I find it interesting that the weakest rookies (Kaitlyn and Aksana) have storylines while the rest are left out in the cold. This clearly shows the WWE priorities when it comes to the Divas.

This also explains the release of Jaime. From what I’ve heard Jaime was one of the top women wrestlers in FCW, but the WWE would rather drop her for rumoredly acting too sexy on TV than give her a warning.

  16. vonVile

For those complaining about Maxine, she’s posting in character. When hasn’t Maxine ripped into another rookie? That’s her gimmick.

PS – Is it just me or does Maxine remind you of an early heel Melina?

  17. Oh shutup Maxine. Jamie made it work. Hell, VICKIE managed to fucking do it.

  18. Takeshi Miike

VonVille, how is it that Kaitlyn is suposedly there w/ Aksana as the weakest rookies when she has clearly shown the most character? Would it be fairer to have the most experienced ones get the pushes and leave the rest to what little wrestling experience and command of the english language they have?

Anyone solely blaming one of these two is obviously biased.
Dont need to name names here, unlike Maxine (in character or not)

  19. Ryan1919

Oh boo hoo, why does everyone get offended of everything all of a sudden? Maxine never said she was uber talented she just said that it’s hard to lead someone in a match when they’ve had barely any training. And if Maxine wants to rip on another diva in character big whoop it’s not the end of the world. Also, people should be using Kaitlyn vs Vickie as an excuse as to why they should have been able to pull of a match because that match was 5 minutes of vickie kicking and choking kaitlyn, and the only moves done other than that was a Bodyslam and school girl.

  20. gerry

    Nah people… Maxine is right.

  21. 041293

It was a hot mess. Neither Maxine nor Kaitlyn were ready for a singles match. Let alone a singles match with each other.

  22. Takeshi Miike

nah, Maxine was involved AGAIN in a botched finish. the 1st time with the most experienced Aj and now the least, Kaitlyn.

  23. Ayzali

eh… -shrugs- Not a big deal either way… Hopefully each can redeem themselves in Wisconsin next week where I’ll be!!

  24. Matt

I’m not surprised she made public note of it. Her job is on the line after that and she was already the least secure remaining rookie.

  25. As far as the NXT match goes, they’re publicizing just how bad it was as a promotion. They knew it would be bad, don’t kid yourselves. They’ve already got plans for Kaitlyn, as odd as it sounds, because she’s managed to connect somewhat with the audience. It seems she lucked into it at the last minute and caught Vickie Guerrero as her Pro, along with maybe being just what was needed to help a boring Dolph Ziggler wake up. All the cards fell in the right place for her; she just can’t work.

The cards are lined up for Kaitlyn to at least have a satellite type of role, somehow, after the show. That’s all they’re thinking about here. If she can’t work, they can use that, fit it into her goofy / quirky / endearing gimmick as long as Vickie is there to put the glaze on. If Vickie’s gone for too long, people won’t likely care. And their *lack* of patience for her *lack* of workrate will show quickly. We’re more of an instant gratification fanbase than ever, and in the long run, that only hurts both us and the promotions.
