Jillian & Tiffany Released

WWE has announced that former Divas Champion, Jillian and SmackDown Diva Tiffany have both been released.

Neither Diva has been seen on television in quite some time due to various reasons. For Jillian, it’s because WWE wished to move her into the role of trainer for the female talents in developmental. For Tiffany, she had been serving an indefinite suspension due to an altercation with husband and WWE star, Drew McIntyre in their hotel room back in August.

Jillian made her debut in 2005 after working in OVW, first debuting on SmackDown as ‘image consultant’ to MNM and then JBL. Originally, Jillian sported a growth on her face which was then bitten off by the Boogeyman. Jillian then adopted a tone-deaf songstress gimmick, ‘performing’ before her matches and even released her own Christmas EP via iTunes in 2007 — a re-release of which was issued earlier this month, with WWE.com doing a big feature on it. Despite being an extremely gifted athlete, Jillian unfortunately never truly reached the top of the division minus a five minute stint as Divas Champion last October. Jillian won the belt from Mickie James and immediately dropped it to Melina.

As for Tiffany, the former Diva Search contestant was originally hired to a developmental deal in 2007 after the Search. She joined the ECW brand as assistant GM and then GM until the brand folded this past February. Tiffany then moved to SmackDown, competing in the Divas division, where she really impressed in the matches she had against the likes of Michelle McCool. Considered to have great potential, her career came to a halt and has been in limbo since that incident in August which made newspapers in McIntyre’s home country of Scotland. Tiffany has been suspended since then and frankly, it’s unsurprising (though sad) that she was released.

Good luck to both performers.

    Tiffany comes as no suprised.

I’m pretty shocked by Jillian though. I will miss her character alot. Was on of my favorites. I wonder if she will still be a trainer in FCW?

    Nooo :…(

WTF….is jillian still a trainer?? if not anymore shes now heading to tna i reckon….i dont know what tiffany will do thou but good luck to both divas..

not to be a dick, but it’s no big deal really as both have been away from our screens for so long. it is a shame though as the fcw divas could’ve learnt so much from jillian and tiffany’s potential was barely tapped into, she could’ve been a future champion, for sure.

good luck to both of them.

ive personally thought and loads of others that jillian wouldnt be there by end of 2010 and we were right…..jillian hardly had the typical diva look and she was advance in her wrestling skills and its quite sad being a fan of hers but on the bright side it was for the best her reputation has gone down hill as the jobber! hope she goes to tna she can replace lacey von erich from the beautiful people :)

  • SherriShepherdWWE

ya, Tiffany is no suprise, but Jillian, i wonder if she was released from her wrestling contract and just signed at TRainers’s contract or whatever, which i think the case might be, which i would be fine with

but i wonder who is next, Tamina???, Rosa??? or Gail??? are the only three that really can be released, because Kelly, Alicia, nikki, brie are in NXT, Layla, Michelle, Natalya are in a feud, Eve is in a storyline wth R Truth and Beth and Melina wont be released, so that only leaves them three, but i think if we see The Uso’s released (which we will) then Tamia wont be far behind

  • ichiban

At least people cant complain about Tiffany getting a free pass and Serena not.

  • SherriShepherdWWE

I just found out from ewrestlingnews, and pwinsider, that we can expect even more release’s today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! omg i am so nervous lol, i hate release day, maybe we wont see anymore girls go ?????

  • Macho Madness

As much as I love Jillian, I don’t want to see either ladies in TNA, and I don’t think we will.

  • KatieLeaMinion

Jillian is finished with her in ring career. And went to be a trainer. And now they release her? How thankful :(

  • bortman

tiffany was really coming along but its her own fault.
as for jillian. what a waste of talent. not only wwe did not tap her wrestling skills they made her a laughing stock jobber. now she agreed to be trainer for this bimbos model rookies @ fcw and this is how theyre going to threat her at the end.

jillian, i heard TNA are building back their knockout division! :)

  • xmelissaa

Sucks both ways, really. Jillian was a veteran and Tiffany was an up-and-coming talent. Even though neither is surprising, it’s still quite sad.

As long as Maryse is employed, I’ll continue to care about the Divas division. Good luck to Tiffany and Jillian. Tiffany had a lot of potential and I think it’s silly that she was suspeneded and fired over something that happened with her and her husband. She’s probably gonna kick Drew’s ass over this, poor guy. As for Jillian, she’s been misused and not seen on TV for so long now that I’m not surprised or saddened, frankly I’m shocked she lasted this long. Good luck to her, maybe it’s time for some total non stop action?

  • Jack5326

Sad to see both divas leave the company. Jillian I guess was just released from her wrestling contract, and although expected, Tiffany’s is the one that pisses me off the most. She had so much potential, yet WWE unfairly treated her I think. Drew should have been punished in some way aswell, and I think releasing Tiffany, who has GREAT potential, even though she was proven innocent, was just ridiculous.

  • ichiban

@Jack5326 Do you know the true story of Drew & Tiffany if so you really cant make that judgement.

  • ronnix

Damn!! am gonna miss jillian :(

    sucks that they got released…=(…
Jillian is actually a suprise…coz I thought she was gonna be an FCW trainer and everything…=S
Tiffany…well…theres no suprise there coz of her arrest on August…yeah all her charges were cleared and she was allowed to return…but they couldn’t think of a way to bring her back on television (pretty simple really…they could’ve got Kelly in a random match between herself and Layla or Michelle…they attack her from behind…Tiffany makes the save and theres your return for Tiffany)…so yeah…no shock there really

but I wish them good luck in there future…xxx

    *in August…sorry about the typo…=P

  • RockinRed45Mvs

Okay so this is total bs. I knew it would happen but still. Hopefully Jillian continues to wrestle, as she was a gifted wrestler. Tiffany certainly had a lot of potential and could’ve been ready for a title by next year. I still can’t grasp the idea of keeping bad wrestlers and those with less potential for those who are just as good looking and have loads of talent. I know WWE is this way and I know why they do it but why are they so stupid, gosh.

I wish them both the best of luck.

  • ichiban

Two spots are open for the NXT3 girls….

  • http://twitter.com/rodneyclint rodneyclint

Apparently in 2006, Al Snow was released from his wrestling contract and WWE made a statement about it, but he was kept as a trainer for OCW. Let’s hope that’s what’s going on with Jillian.

  • LorienB

    Melina Is Next >:)

i am to shocked to say a word but good luck for both of them. but it seems to me that they are get riding of the older women in order to make room for the younger.
