It’s a case of so close yet so far for NXT Rookie Diva AJ.
The Rookie Diva, who was mentored by Primo on NXT, was eliminated tonight just a week away from the final.
One of the fan favorites to win this season of NXT, AJ made waves in FCW as Queen of FCW, putting on showstopping matches with fellow rookie, Naomi and former WWE Diva, Serena. AJ was also known for her run as Tag Team Champion in WSU, alongside Brittany Savage.
AJ has put on some of the most critically acclaimed matches on this season of NXT, including her impressive bout with Naomi tonight, so her elimination come as a surprise to many. After her elimination was announced, AJ gave a passionate, heartfelt speech, before breaking down as she made her way up the ramp.
Just two NXT Rookies — Naomi and Kaitlyn — remain in the running to become WWE’s next breakout Diva on the season finale next week.
Was the right person cut? Sound off in the comments…

The wrong person Aj was my favorite rookie…I really hope to see her on SD or raw in the upComing months

Okay while I love Kaitlyn I would rather she be eliminated than AJ, id still much rather have seen Naomi eliminated, I dont know what it is but she seems to have been left in the background for the majority of the since the first ep, which isnt her fault/
PROPER GUTTED that AJ has gone, was preparing myself for a Kaitlyn elimination, on the plus side if Kaitlyn were to win i cld see Naomi easily turning heel and then we’d have one more heel diva

I think its obivious now that NXT is fixed. AJ had it all. The fans support, the personality and the in-ring talent. Kaitlyn and Naomi would have been voted off by the fans and i doubt te “pros” voted her off. WWE is very high Kaitlyn and Naomi so they are the final 2. Coincidence? I think not!

I’ve got to be honest… I was pretty surprised. But it just goes back to what I’ve been saying this whole time. Despite what Naomi seems to think, NXT season 3 was never about finding the best wrestler, it was about finding the best Diva. And sad as it is, ‘Diva’ & ‘Wrestler’ are not synonymous in WWE.

Can’t believe Aj got eliminated, she derserved to be in the finals not Kaitlyn.

NOOOO she was my Pick to win NXT season 3

Yass the annoying bitch is gone!!! Next should be Kaitlyn!
Go Naomi!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wrong person, btw 13 people are crazy and don’t know what wrestling is.
ANTI-KAITLYN FTW!

I still can’t believe it. I probably won’t believe it tomorrow. Not even when I’m casting my vote for the finals. Wrong person went home tonight. We know WWE and what they look for and even then I thought they still wanted AJ. Hope they have bigger plans for her. I mean they were bringing her up to the main roster before they decided to make NXT Season 3 the Diva Edition.

If it was rigged, AJ was the surefire winner for the season behind Kaitlyn. Personally, I’m glad she’s gone. She continually put herself over as “being the wrestler of the group and knowing the most about the business” and all the other girls just being hired out of magazines or what you have when in reality Naomi’s known as much WWE facts in the challenges as AJ has. AJ’s obviously a player of the backstage politics to not give Naomi the proper rub to be in the finale with her (AJ) so it doesn’t sadden me the least bit that WWE and the fans nixed her fake-ass tonight.

@LaceyVonErichFan
I’m with you

@cutymania What the hell? I don’t like McCool but you don’t see me saying that about her losing the title. Seriously.

katilyn should be gone weeks ago she cant even wrestle at all unless shes carried & shes still awkward i just hope naomi wins she deserves it since she is exciting to watch unlike most of the women on the show….
some new diva dirt may like…
- Alicia Fox’s sister Christina Crawford made her FCW wrestling debut this past week at a developmental show. Crawford, under the name Caylee Turner, teamed with Rosa Mendes and Aksana to lose to AJ Lee, Kaitlyn and Naomi Knight.

Of course it’s fixed, IT’S A TV SHOW! Well, webshow. Don’t worry about AJ, everyone who has been on NXT that wasn’t a total waste of space (Hi Lucky! Hi Eli!) made it to the main roster for at least a cup of cofee. Nexus, DB and Riley have been featured in main storylines. I’m sure AJ will be on RAW or SD! relatively soon.

so if naomi wins she will have to drop the fcw divas title
at 4:34 am
@Josh I agree with your comment about her not giving Naomi a rub. I acknowledged that in the comments earlier.
at 4:36 am
Epic Fail i wanted AJ to win :(
at 4:41 am
@RockinRed45Mvs, Thank you! I’m glad someone else (particularly as an AJ Lee fan) can acknowledge that AJ was in the wrong do what she did, especially after the great match her and Naomi had just had together. She really thinks she can carry Kaitlyn anywhere near the same level for the finale?
You can tell Alicia Fox either likes or appreciates Naomi’s “real talk” when they had panned back to her after the pre-elimination interviews with the Rookies and Matt Striker.

i agree with Cutymania, finally she’s gone. she was so fake. GO Naomi!! if she doesn’t win it’ll be alright cause i still like Kaitlyn. haha!

I am hoping and praying that from now and until the finale Naomi and Kaitlyn and the WWE work on putting on a good match, obviously it cld never be on par with Aj/Naomi but at least a decent match so that Kaitlyn earns a little bit of respect from some of the people on this site.
It’s a shame that people hate on her so much when (and ill say it for the last time) its NOT HER FAULT shes there, people like her, get over it! I am so upset that AJ is gone but I would certainly not hate on another diva because she’s still there and AJ isn’t, besides the runner ups always tend to do better, Wade Barrett fair enough he’s doing good but Justin Gabriel, Slater, McGillicutty and Harris have had more attention/success than Kaval has recently minus his first PPV match and (eventual) guaranteed title shot.
Also please note that even if Kaitlyn wins, I dont see her winning the title anytime soon, same goes for Naomi but I can see her having an entertaining feud with Natalya with Naomi as a heel
at 4:47 am
@josh i notice a certain bond between AJ and Kaitlyn but so did the voters and thay did not like it i can Naomi one day becoming divas champ she is the new version of former diva jazz
at 4:51 am
@megagary
No one is blaming her, it’s the WWE who make us dislike her, so when we’re hating on her it’s because WWE ruined her for us by overpushing her more then she deserved. Kaitlyn is already overrated.
at 4:51 am
noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! damnit Aj was my absolute favorite rookie right from the beginning! i feel so bad for her she definitely shouldn’t have gotten eliminated, she was the best there was! this show is obviously fixed because they just eliminated the best rookie they had in Nxt!
at 4:52 am
@megagary I don’t blame Kaitlyn for being in the finals. Obviously because it was reported that WWE was high on Naomi and Kaitlyn. She also came along at the right time and she was put in a good storyline which is undeniably part of the reason she’s moving into the finals. She also has a good fan base also thanks to her being involved with Vickie. I still like Kaitlyn and Naomi.
