On this week’s TNA Xplosion, we see another collision between former tag team partners Sarita and Taylor Wilde. The former has been on a winning streak as of late, can she continue it? Or will one half of the current tag team champions stop Sarita cold? Find out below…
First out is Sarita, in an orange, blue and black outfit. Looks good on her. Cocky as ever, she makes her way into the ring. Next out is Taylor Wilde and she’s ditched the skirt and skimpy bikini top in favor of more proper looking gear coloured blue and yellow. Nice!
Her tag title is wrapped securely around her waist, which pisses Sarita off. Upon entering the ring, Taylor rushes at Sarita but the latter wisely ducks out of the ring. After posing with her belt, Taylor backs up so Sarita can enter the ring. Bell rings and we’re off and running!
Musings: For Xplosion, I’m going to do something different. Instead of doing a full write up of the match with moves and what not, I’m skipping straight to my thoughts about it. This felt mainly like a match designed to put over Sarita even further, and since she has heat with Taylor, it made sense for it to happen against each other. JB said she was looking to put the other Knockouts on notice that she wanted in the title hunt. With her spate of victories as of late, she’s earned herself a shot at the gold. If you’ve seen Sarita’s work in SHIMMER, you know just how damn good she is, we’ve only gotten a hint of her skill in TNA.
The match itself was okay in spots, but it felt like it never got out of first gear so to speak. There were some rough moments where the action either stopped completely or slowed down. However, there were some great spots, it felt like a real rivalry between the two, and it served to get Sarita more heat. I see her as an inbetweener at the moment. She’s out for herself and doesn’t necessarily need backup. It seems they’re playing up that she’s tired of being in the background and with the addition of Mickie James, she’s going to muscle her way into title contention by one way or another. Having her go over one half of the tag team champions is a good way of showing she’s serious – even if she did cheat in the end.

This match was pretty good. A few spots where the action stopped but it was good. I actually like how they’re building up Sarita. I honestly didn’t think that she could’ve been a heel or anything but a face. She’s proven me wrong. I hope she does win the title soon. She deserves it.

To what has been said above me, I agree. I want to see Sarita as TNA Knockout Champion. Hopefully it happens sooner rather than later. Also, I like match. I thought it was good.

For a match that had Sarita and Taylor Wilde in it, it sure was slow.

Another good match between Taylor and Sarita. It just sucks that Taz and J.B. can’t call any of the Knockout’s matches properly. Taylor getting engaged, WTF did that have to do with this match ? Note to TNA Dixie Carter and TNA Management: Tell Mike Tenay, Taz, and J.B. to knock it off with the sexual innuendos, the wrestler’s personal lives, and twitter. It’s annoying, distracting, and disrespectful to the athletes as well as the fans. Dixie tell them to call the F’N matches like they are supposed to be called or FIRE THEIR ASSES ! A good ladies wrestling match ruined by 2 Jackasses !

^ surprisingly i find myself missing don west more and more each week. agree with you.
nice match, i thought. great pacing, too, especially as it lasted twice as long as a standard impact match does.

I wish that you did the whole review. I don’t feel like watching the match so I just read your review.. and well yeah. I’m glad that you said Taylor was looking better though. and that her makeup wasn’t horrid.

was it me or did anyone else notice that a few of the spots were the same in the sarita/Madison match on Thanksgiving Impact? taylor ducked under two forearms, just like sarita did to madison, and when sarita tried to do the crossbody to the outside, she fell when taylor ran away, just like madison did on impact. i wonder if tna was trying to test the waters with this match

I liked this match. Sure there was a few iffy spots and spots where the action was stopped but it was a pretty good match and I enjoyed Taylor’s arm drags and Sarita’s Hangmans moves. But didnt Sarita seem like a better wrestler when she came into TNA? She has just had fewer botches back then. Not saying that she isnt good now but I’ve noticed that.

Was it as big of trainwreck as their impact match?

Not bad but a bit too slow for these two. As much as like Sarita as a Heel, why can’t she utilise some of her high flying moves? She is playing a cocky character with colourful outfits, so why not represent them in flashy moves which she can be cocky about?
Taylor was just Taylor, I’m really not a fan of her at all but at least she ditched the horrible bra and knickers attire.

I think Taylor needs to leave TNA

The moments where they stopped to yell at one another were awkward as hell and really took me out of the match. Other than that, it was really good. Although, I always feel like the crowd is really down during Explosion.

@ILOVENATTIE – how come?
at 10:17 pm
It lacked the passion of some of their previous matchups but was a decent match and could serve as cliff notes for a new viewer.
at 10:30 pm
I think Taylor should leave to like ILOVENATTIE said but even if she does leave would WWE even take her?
at 10:35 pm
@shokko22 cause she isnt used often, and she kinda isnt in the title picture. But she is kinda being used as of late. But for the most part she isnt really being used. Well thats what I think ILOVENATTIE may have a different reason though.

Why can’t TNA sign Madison Eagles and Jesse Mckay to fued with Hamataylor over the tag titles ?
at 3:06 am
Laqisha: Probably because Madison Eagles has a family including one, possibly two, small children. If you heard the last WOW podcast in which Stew and Lee interviewed Eagles, she’s pretty content where she is now.
McKay and Tenille, however, were a good tag team at the last SHIMMER tapings. It’d be nice if they got called up, both have the look and the skill.

Whoever’s doing Taylor Wilde’s makeup these days needs to be shot with shit.
