British developmental talent, Vicky Skeeles, who was going by the name Verity Thomas in FCW has confirmed that she has been granted her release from WWE.

Writing on her Twitter page, Vicky wrote:

Yes guys I have been removed from the FCW page. I have decided, during thanks giving break, to move on from wrestling-too many locker room politics. Life is meant for living and being happy&cheery;:) I’m a positive girl who doesn’t need negativity in her life. I will still be modelling and doing appearances. Thank you for all your support but now I would LOVE you to support my girl Sonia, she is a fantastic worker and one of my very very special friends- I love her to bits and I you should too. Love you all :) and keep smiling because I still am!

Vicky was signed earlier this year and reported to FCW in Tampa in late-September after receiving her work visa. Diva Dirt broke the news of her signing at that time.

Thoughts: It’s a shame that Vicky is no longer with WWE, however from what I have heard from others is that she is a very sweet girl — perhaps too sweet and innocent for the world of wrestling which can swallow you up and spit you back out. It’s probably a wise decision for her own sake, and I can’t fault that. Good luck to her.

    well, i am fine with these, and i am glad WWE granted her release, since she didnt want to do it any more, so i am fine with this and i wish her all the best,

    That’s kinda crappy. I was waiting 2 c her wrestle. Still can’t wait 2 c Sonia wrestle. And I’m very happy that Vicky supports her so much

    You know I actually can’t blame her. Wrestling is a cold, underhanded, dirty, politically driven business. Some people just shouldn’t be part of such dysfunction and if you do get involved in it you could end up having your heart and soul broken. It’s in interesting observation that many people that are successful and/or stay with the business for a significant period of time don’t really end up living very nice lives later in life if the stay involved with it for too long. Just ask Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan.

    Politics…. This even happens on the independents to be honest…. I’ve heard and have been told some crazy stuff. You have to have thick skin… Glad she wished Sonia the best I’m really looking forward to her transition.

    NO! ARE YOU SERIOUS? I’m seriously going to cry now. All this time i have been so excited to see her and she leaves, dammit. I knew it was to good to be true. Definetly the next mickie james.

    No Britani, Sonia & Verity =( I’m seriously so upset i can’t even think at the moment.

    She is special friends with sonia? That’s really wierd (: since i have always wanted them to take Naomi & AJ’s place in FCW as the new feud of the new generation.

    why is there no Sonia, she hasnt been released,

    I feel sad for Vicky. This is more evidence that no matter how good you are, wrestling isn’t always for you. You definitely MUST be thick-skinned and tough to survive in the business, because being sensitive and naive will end up in heartbreak. I remember when Cherry was released she said “you can always love wrestling, but it won’t always love you back.” And that’s damn true.

  16. leaving wrestling to go into modelling? it’s usually the other way round lol

    a shame, but all the best to her.

    Just read that from an other website
    “Verity Thomas said on his Twitter having left the WWE because there is too much politics behind the scenes and she was better able to endure the strategiststhe Actually it’s WWE who has released her for a very banal photos of his bare chest that she had failed to confess to the company of Stamford. Thomas, whose real name Vicky Skeeles, British wrestler 23 years, was signed by WWE in the summer and joined the FCW October 2 last”

    @SherriShepherdWWE

    I meant as all 3 of them together but since WWE love there british women and just lost one, they’ll definetly sign britani.
