Thoughts: Things I’ve learned: Eric Young and Mickie are dating and going on tour together, Mickie hit Tara ‘in the privates’ — or as Eric Young calls it, the ‘vag bone’. Wow.
Elsewhere, last night’s Impact saw Christy Hemme step out from behind the mic for the first time in over a year and get physical as she tried to shut up Cookie. (Is that even humanly possible?) Anyway, we found out on Reaction why Christy involved herself in Cookie’s business and there seems to be a tease that she may be stepping into the ring again.

Thoughts: Honestly, I didn’t watch the initial segment on Impact but I loved Christy’s acting here. I question why they’d use the non-wrestling Knockout when they have Velvet (can you imagine the promos between her and Cookie?) and Taylor sitting on the sidelines, but Christy did a good job.

Wow. I didn’t think there was anything that could make me care less about this feud, but adding the interview girl… that would do it. I really don’t want to see this. Christy retired from wrestling for the sake of her health, after all. And why put her in this spot when you’ve got several Knockouts that can wrestle who are doing absolutely nothing right now. Cookie is already acknowledged as not being a wrestler, so is adding another non-wrestler really a good idea?
My guess? This is being done to save Hemme’s job. They’ve pretty much made backstage interviewers completely irrelevant since the wrestlers just talk into the camera now. They’re probably just trying to find a spot for her to justify keeping her around. We all know how stubborn Dixie is when it comes to making roster cuts, even ones that really need to happen.
Please let it be true.. I’ve always loved Christy in the ring, I thought she was vastly under-rated.
If it risks her health then obviously I’d rather her avoid the ring but if she feels comfortable enough to do it – then I’d be so pleased! xx
i agree with Ed, why put Christy back in the ring, and have her face Cookie, when neither women are very good in the ring, have someone like Hamada, Taylor, or a new girl, in the feud so that they can help Cookie, DONT put christy in the ring, and please Christy you are a original, you may have helped get the division going, but what about Trinity, TRaci, Gail, Desire, the women that kept the division going when there was no title, before there was a Christy Hemme, So shut up and stay out of the ring, and stay in the interview spot

I LOVE CHRISTY! If she wants to wrestle again, and if she is healthy enough then let her. People love Christy, this will help Cookie get over more.
C’MON Christy come back to the ring now that Lacey is gone you won’t have to worry about her breaking your neck. Christy is so talented, she is so beautiful, she is just an inspiration. She went from cheerleader to model to wrestler to future legend, that’s amazing. She learned really fast, she didn’t stop wrestling after the WWE because she has a beautiful passion for it and wrestled indies just like what Tiffany will be doing <3

She could bring a lot of ratings and she is over with the crowd. Christy was never treated right and she deserves more, she deserves at least to be tag team champion.
Would you rather have Velvet or Christy “feud” w/ Cookie? I think i would go with the most talented one i.e christy hemme.
If Christy thinks she can wrestle without unduly risking her health, why not? I do suspect she’ll be involved in the match at the PPV somehow…

Sadly no, the only accomplishments she has under her name are ‘Knockout of the year’ & ‘Diva Search’ winner.
I think I just fell in love with Christy. haha Her acting in this segment was amazing. She made me seriously want to see her kick Cookie’s ass. I’ve always been a huge Hemme fan and it sucks that she had to retire from the ring because of injuries. She was just starting to make some real progress in the ring before she got hurt. I remember her matches with Kong and they were great. Anyway, I hope more comes from this. Maybe not a match but still some sort of fued with Christy in Lethal’s corner since I wouldn’t want Christy risking her health by getting back in the ring.
…Christy isn’t a horrible wrestler, she’s no Hamada or Daffney – but nonetheless she’s perfectly fine. In my opinion, SoCalVal, Chelsea or Brooke Adams should take the role as backstage interviewer. And now that Lacey has bid farewell to TNA, there is an opening for another useable Knockout – that could be Christy.

I loved Christy in the ring. She did improve alot and was quite good toward the end of her wrestling career. I’d love to see her wrestle one more time.
Say what you want, but I’m completely against this. Lacey’s gone (thank God), so replace her with a new girl who is a talented wrestler that DOESN’T have a history of neck injuries. Christina Von Eerie, Jennifer Blake, Serena Deeb, etc. Why put Christy back in the ring when she hasn’t wrestled in a long time and was never particularly good to begin with? They need a strong worker who can carry Cookie to something watchable and that’s not Christy.

I love Christy’s fire and charisma. She is very convincing. Christy was actually getting pretty good in the ring before she got hurt. I definitely wouldn’t mind see her in the ring again!

bahahahhah dying in laughter from Tara getting this look of pain on her face and saying “She hit me in the privates” and then EY saying “apparently there’s a bone in that area, she has pretty good accuracy with that knee, and BOOM she took her down with that knee right in the vag bone.” Then they show the video of Mickie kneeing Tara in the “vag bone”

LMAO, when Tara said “she hit me in the… privates” she made it seem like “privates” was a dirty word! It sounds a lot nicer, yet childish, than “vag bone” as Eric Young said. Eric, I believe the proper term is “pubic bone” LOL. And since Christy Hemme is being paid more money than SoCal Val just to be a backstage interviewer, she might as well go wrestle on occasion so the money she is being paid is actually meaningful (not saying she doesn’t deserve it, but I just feel that it’s a bit too much for an interviewer).
@Macho Man- Same here, Christy is cool. She was underrated and was coming along nicely both in WWE and TNA. She’s the only DS winner along with Layla that I really really like. Not to say I hated the others, but I never warmed up to them as I did with Christy and Layla. They’re just so charismatic and likeable.

Eric and Mickie arent dating on the show or touring together. If you remember Eric fell off of top rope and hit his head on the padding outside the ring and… went… well… crazy… and after that and doesn’t remember nor know anything correctly. So it’s not realy happening but in his head he’s thinking it is. (Im not sure if you were being scarcitastic or not.. just pointing it out.)
I always thought that Christy needed a bhigger role than just an interviewer. She need to be a manager or authority figure or something. She was surprisingly natural on the mic and the more she gets involved the happier I am
^ i agree, too. i think people need to quit with why christy and not hamada? etc. logic is cool and obviously cookie is going to go over in this feud and her beating christy is much more believable than cookie getting a 3-count on hamada or daffney (and there’ll be less tears from commenters here;))
reaction is by far one of the best things tna have done this year.
Christy vs Cookie? I don’t care for the Shore angle and don’t want it expanded further. I’d rather see something from the Knockouts who don’t have a current angle like Velvet or Taylor. Or even someone new like Blake.
I’ve always loved Christy. If she feels she can wrestle without doing any harm to herself, then I’ll be glad to see her back.
On a totally different note, I’m now making it my mission to use “vag bone” in a sentence before the weekend is through.
Yeah people need to stop with the “It should be Taylor Vs Daffney” or “It should be Hamada on TV” No, thats not what its about. Tihs is about getting the new girl (Cookie) some extra heat and the way they are doing that is have her take on the original. It would make no sence whatsoever if Cookie faced Daffney or Taylor or Hamada. Christy was teh perfect choice for the storyline
I love Christy I’m really hoping she helps Jay. Just to see her in the ring would do wonderous and Tag belts would be an actual good thing she can work similar to Sable meaning not taking bumps.
Oh, and another thing. Do you really think TNA are going to give her a HUGE wrestling role? I highly doubt they will, they realise Christy has hurt herself in the ring in the past… they are not stupid enough to risk Christy’s career. The feud’ll mostly consist on Cookie doing all the talking, and then just catfighting. If Christy is up for a bigger wrestling role, then good for her! she’s not a terrible wrestler – Give her a chance.
I loooove it! I hope Christy shuts Cookie up. The probably gonna get Velvet involved in Angelina/Winter’s storyline thus they insert Christy in now. Can’t wait to see the Knockouts! They are getting HOT.
I understand Christy left the ring because of her health but I must admit I always enjoyed Christy Hemme in the ring. People say she isn’t a good wrestler but compare her to Kelly Kelly she is kinda better and the reason she is better is cause she takes risks she uses the top rope alot shes good on the mic and I loved how she was the underdog still when she was at the top of the Knockouts Divsion cause she used her brains instead of skill and it was something new brought to the table. If she decides to get back in the ring I’ll back her 100% I just hope nothing goes wrong.
Oh wow, Mickie James is so beautiful and I hope she gets by Tara at Final Resolution. I think Mickie is definitely the underdog and Tara is tougher though Mickie is more athletic. Tara can most definitely beat up most men and is really intimidating and powerful but Mickie is very agile and tricky. My prediction; I think Tara will win in dominant fashion because she is meaner, stronger and one heck of a tough cookie. Speaking of cookies…
Cookie is so sexy but has a serious attitude problem. I love watching her because she is one of the hottest TNA Knockouts but I’m not so sure she is a good wrestler. I like the Jersey Shore spin and think it’s stupid but kind of funny and I loved when J-Woww from the real shore came on and put Cookie in her place. I was hoping that she would be the next TNA Knockout but I’m guessing that’s not going to happen. Anyway, Cookie keeps showing off her sassy side and I think she is going to pay for it.
Christy Hemme looks like an angry bird to me but a sexy one nonetheless. Anyway, I hope she kicks Cookie’s ass and makes her cry or something because she runs her mouth too much. She deserved to be dominated and I think Christy will work her with ease. Cookie is hotter sure, but she clearly can’t hold a candle to Christy’s ability nor her fiery intensity. I’m definitely cheering for Christy and I hope Cookie keeps losing to every other TNA Knockout too. I just want to see her completely dominated and hopefully they’ll eventually shift the feud of Mickie James with Tara to one with Mickie James putting Cookie in her place. I just hope Mickie doesn’t get hurt against Tara…
If Christy is comfortable getting back in the ring, then i’m all for it! I have ALWAYS been a Christy Hemme fan and would love to see her back in the ring! I would like to see her have the oppurtunity to hold a championship, as she was a hard worker and was never rewarded for her efforts! She was just really starting to get good when the injury bug hit her…she deserves a chance to hold a championship if she is coming back to the ring!
Lots of people are calling for Taylor Wilde to be the one to shut Cookie’s mouth. Isn’t Taylor 1/2 of the tag team champions??? So why isn’t she doing anything with that title? What’s the point of 2 championships in the Knockouts division if there’s a non-title feud running the show (Tara v. Mickie)? (*cough* see that WWE, non-title feud).
Anyway, the initial point I wanted to make was that I don’t find Taylor Wilde to be that special. And now she’s got that silly little haircut that makes me like her even less. I’m not all high on Velvet Sky either. So take it for what it’s worth, but I think Christy Hemme is the appropriate person to counter Cookie.
All we need now? Trish Stratus to come out and say, “Christy, Christy, Christy… here we are, another episode of Impact and you’re out here trying to steal my spotlight…” :o)
And as for why Christy never won a title…
1) Could you HONESTLY see her taking the Women’s Championship off of Trish Stratus in the WWE? Sure she was OK in the ring, but good enough to dethrone Trish? Nah.
2) Could you HONESTLY see her taking the Knockout’s Championship from Gail or Kong? Nah.
The only time I think Christy could have been booked to be champion was when Angelina Love was carrying the title. Now, that’s not to say that Christy couldn’t be the part of the tag champs…
