FEMALE FIGHT LEAGUE AND DIVA-DIRT.COM TO PRODUCE POWERFUL DOCUMENTARY ON WOMEN’S PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING

‘Special Attraction: An Inside Look at Female Wrestling’ due mid-2011

SAN FRANCISCO, CA / DEC. 13, 2010 - Women’s professional wrestling is set to take center stage in 2011 as the subject of a powerful new documentary from the minds behind the Female Fight League and the number one female wrestling website, Diva-Dirt.com (Diva Dirt). Both the FFL and Diva Dirt are entities of California-based Black Pants Productions, also the home of acclaimed female wrestling promotion, ChickFight.

‘Special Attraction: An Inside Look at Female Wrestling’, scheduled for release in mid-2011, is to be directed by Cannes Young Lions award winner, Sean Sweeny, and will be an in-depth look at the world of female professional wrestling and its current state around the globe today.

This insightful documentary will give viewers a front-row seat as we explore the differences between female wrestling products on the independent level versus the national television level, and explore what it is like to be a female wrestler in a male-dominated sport. The film will also highlight the role of live events, cablecasts, pay per views, print as well as online media and more in the female wrestling industry.

‘Special Attraction’ will feature behind-the-scenes interviews with talent, promoters and media including veteran female wrestlers Melissa Anderson (Cheerleader Melissa, Alissa Flash) and Genny Goulet (LuFisto), as well as Pro-Wrestling: EVE promoter Dann Read, Pro Wrestling Revolution promoter Gabriel Ramirez, ChickFight promoter Jason Deadrich and Diva-Dirt.com staff writer, David L. Buckler, plus more.

The film aims to shine a light on this much under-exposed niche product with a loyal and growing following. It will change the way you look at female professional wrestling.
