Pro-Wrestling SUN, the new all-female promotion from Allison Danger, has announced the first match for its debut show on March 20th. It will be Mia Yim taking on Mia Svensson.

Those who follow the two Mias on Twitter will know that the pair have engaged in a pretty fun Internet feud over the past few months after Svensson was injured during a match with Yim at the SHIMMER pre-show, SPARKLE, back in September.

Pro-Wrestling SUN has given Diva Dirt the first look at the press release:

For immediate release: Pro-Wrestling SUN is pleased to announce the first two members of the Queens of Promise rookie roster, both scheduled to face each other at our inaugural show March 20, 2011 in Jackson, NJ.

Representing Jersey All Pro Wrestling is 2010 standout Mia Yim. The last year has been a huge one for Yim, who has been on a tear of the East Coast. From great outings at Jersey All Pro and Pro Wrestling Respect to a much buzzed about tryout with TNA Wrestling. In September, Yim was one of four women to be a part of the SHIMMER pre-show, Sparkle, in Berywn, IL. It was during that weekend when bad blood developed between Mia Yim and her SUN opponent.

More:

Mia Svensson, also known as the Scandinavian Sweetheart, is a young upstart from Sweden. Svensson is a student of SUN president Allison Danger and North Carolina promoter “Nitestic” Eddie Brown. Trained at the Ring Wars Carolina school, Svensson quickly came under the wing of Danger. In August, during a heated cage match in Lumberton, NC, the Scandinavian Sweetheart ended not only a year long feud with Danger but also ended Danger’s reign as the RWC-FLOW Womens Champion. The belt quickly was put on the back burner though as Svensson suffered a broken rib just a few short weeks later at the Sparkle pre-show in Berwyn, IL. During singles competition with Mia Yim, an unexpected double stomp put Svensson on the disabled list and sent her right off the deep end. After a war of words across the internet, the unadulterated hatred between the two reached an all time high and Svensson lobbied SUN president Allison Danger to make the match and finally put these two women within the squared circle to settle their differences.

Sunday, March 20th in Jackson, NJ, World-1 and Pro-Wrestling SUN are set to blow the roof!

  1. This is an inspired Pro-wrestling Sun opening booking by Allison Danger. The two Mia’s seemed to respect each other last September at SPARKLE, but the rib-cracking double foot stomp by Yim, left some Svensson with questions: Was Yim careless, dirty, or just trying too hard to impress the SHIMMER brass? In any case, the Swede was sidelined just when her career was set to take off (Mia on the other hand was keeping in-ring dates with Mickie James, SDR, and Daizee Haze). May people have forgotten that Svensson came back to defeat Yim in the 9/12 SPARKLE match, despite the broken rib. Given all that Dave Prazak is trying to accomplish with his SHIMMER promotion, it is far from clear whether either of these ladies will be invited to the Berwyn taping the weekend following their SUN debut. So it’s great the Danger has snapped them up. The Internet feud, mostly on Twitter and Formspring, has been entertaining and spicy. I am interested to see how much fire and venom they bring to the ring. Svensson is recovering from a MCL knee injury sutained while sparring that has kept her out of action all fall. She intends to be back in the ring in January and will hopefully be fit and ready for this late March bout. Both wrestlers are based in the mid-atlantic so an East Coast faceoff makes sense. Allison Danger is one of the most intelligent and well-connected people in wrestling today — I can’t wait to see the rest of SUN’s inaugural card!

  2. Well said @Dafalcon I’m looking forward to the full card also. Danger is a profound individual and I look forward to seeing her promotion up and running. It’s always great to see a new promotion dedicated to women wrestling take form. The two Mia’s shall be interesting I had no idea they were feuding on line, neither about the MCL tear. Thanks for the information
