Sarita is really the “sleeper hit” of the Knockout’s Division. She really made people noticed her in the division at a time when Tara, Madison Rayne & Mickie James were heavily featured on one side, and Angelina Love & Winter was featured on another. They’ll probably give her the tag team straps with the new Knockout they signed that’s supposed to be her cousin, but I much prefer she just win the Knockout’s Title.
erm that match was quite bad :/
i think Katie needs some wrestling boots, she keeps slipping on her finisher.
and Sarita seemed to keep trying to hit Katie when she was too far away, or at an awkward angle to sell
it seemed there were quite a few miss communications like when Katie climbed the turnbuckle and Sarita started rolling on the floor
Didn’t like the match at all, the dead beat football rejects crowd didn’t help either, I swear they must have been manicans or something cause I didn’t hear or see any actions from them once in the crowd.
Sarita was the best in the match, Winter was awful I’m sorry but she really was, doesn’t seem like she cares to put on a good show, the opposite to Sarita for sure.
The Match was Kinda Boring! It seemed so slow to me …. Katie wasnt doing it for me , and im upset. I kinda want them to drop this Winter Crap now , it was nice at the start but now its kinda blah…

It was a, uhm, unique juxtaposition of two types of characters at different points. Maybe two ships in the night, so to speak. Not really my kind of match, but it did help as Winter does have kind of a niche and Sarita is a solid heel that eventually will go over face doing the same thing. It’s one of those necessary matches. This isn’t the problem; TNA badly needs to readjust their face/heel situation and reload the potential matches. With something like Nattie/Kong or Beth/Kong out there drawing money in anticipation-land, I’d be looking at Mickie/Tara as done (rightfully so, that’s your best pairing but it’s worn now) and Madison/Mickie as nearly done too.
So what then? You have TBP but they’re face and either Mickie would be face champion, not working out, or Madison continues a heel run, and she just feuded with TBP recently enough. In terms of the future, they need someone like Sarita and she may catch some lucky breaks by this Summer.
wow, didnt like that match at all, very very boring, Katie didnt do anything for me, she just seemed awkward and sloppy :(, hopefully they get better with each other if they gonna start feuding

I agree that the match wasn’t great but I have seen worse (Kaitlyn vs. Naomi). Love Sarita, my favorite Knockout next to Mickie James. I got to see Sarita wrestle at a TNA house show in Pensacola, FL this past Saturday. Sarita wrestled Angelina Love and Sarita is just as good live as she is on TV. Very nice person and fun to talk to. I sent pictures of the match to Diva Dirt, don’t know if they are going to post them.
Not a good match. Both were not good, but the worse was Sarita. Damn, she did everyhting wrong she could do. She was not selling anything, her strikes never hit like they were used to and she botched nearly every single move. Winter was also bad, but saying that Sarita did something good in the match is by far the biggest fairytale ever. Sloppiest and worse performance from Sarita ever.
Finally, my dislike for Winter/Katie Lea is justified. I’ve never understood why so many people put this girl on such a high pedastal. Maybe it’s because she was a jobber Diva for the WWE, but I always said there was nothing she ever did that warranted a big push. Her first women’s title match with Mickie James was sloppy and she never impressed after that. The only time she has hit that finisher and it looked good was that one time on Eve on Raw. This match was sloppy and everything she’s done so far aside from backstage segments in TNA has been sloppy. This Winter stuff is boring now, I feel like they dropped the ball with what could have been an interesting feud with Angelina and/or Velvet. Now, even if they do go down one of those roads I don’t think many people will care.
Sarita impressed as always and I love how the crowd treated her like a face in this match. Loved the chants and claps!

If that is impressing, she must be the worst wrestler of all time. Winter was bad, i admit that, but Sarita was worse as hell. She did absolutely nothing right in that match. If you think this is impressing, yes it is…in the wrong way. Don’t get what most people like about Sarita, she never impressed me.
Not as Katie who showed her full potential a while ago, she just needs to come back to her old class.

@Kenu91 something most people here forget. She proved her talent in the past and it is clear to see she is far away from what she can show at now. She will be back like the old Katie, i’m sure. But people judge her after her FIRST!!! singles match in TNA.
Opposite side for Sarita! She must be in shape and didn’t had a long break and she completely fails in that match and some are trying to say she did good? Huh? Bad joke! You can expect much more from her and she failed. So, not saying this as fan, you can clearly say she did worse than Katie. They were both bad, but seeing the facts, you can blame Sarita more for that.
i dont get it. With the women the calibur of Winter and Sarita, why was the match so dissapointing? I mean this is definatly not their first rodeo but by the looks of it, it seemed as if they never stepped in the ring before. Sarita was bad but not so “terrible” but I mean Winter. I heard stories of how good she was in the Indies as Nikita and was an undefeated champion. Her work never really impressed me in OVW and WWE but I assume it was because she had to be watered down and her matches werent bad. But I dont know why she’s this bad. Is it just a chemistry problem? I’m quite mad because this coulda been a fanstatic match. I just hope Winter gets over it. Kinda bummed out now.

It might sound silly, but I honestly think we’d see a marked improvement in Katie’s work if she wore actual wrestling gear.
You cant say ‘oh come on give her a break its her first match in TNA’ because she’s had training and has had amazingmatches in OVW such as her lader match with Beth Phoniex. *look it up on youtube* Maybe she’s past her prime. Nothing has impressesed me becasue of ehr matches. When she’s catfighting it’s very slow and i cant believe the crowd doesnt get bored. The angles make it look good because the guys is moving the camera up and down so it looks very agrssive. This is her first match, I expected way more from her.

Oh yea, I hate to say it but the match was pretty sloppy and considering how long both women have been wrestling, something doesn’t seem right. Perhaps people, this will make you all realize that everyone from divas hired out of a modeling catalogs to world renowned indies wrestlers have bad sloppy matches. It’s not just where you come from its how much of a natural you are combined with having good chemistry with the right person.
Was Katie a one hit wonder?? I really feel as though her ladder match with Beth was the only great match she had. I still have hope though!!!
i feel a bit let down by winter to be honest. i’ve never seen any of her work outside wwe or tna, so i’m not sure if she could do any better than she’s been doing so far, but up to now her in-ring work with tna has been pretty crappy in my eyes.
back when she was being misused by wwe, there were a lot of people here on diva dirt, both staff and commenters, singing her praises and i guess i just overhyped her in my head without really paying attention to her in-ring limitations?

@ryanmvs yes it IS her first match, because she had a very long break where she did not wrestle and seeing her matches in WWE at the beginning of 2010, the last she had, they were all great from her. And she did much better there. So you can really say it must be the long break and she must come back to her old quality. And funny how people just know her ladder match and are saying she was a one hit wonder, when they never saw her great work on Shimmer or in England. Thats just bullshit and comes from people who have seen nothing in the end.
It is also amazing how many bandwagoners of Sarita are out there now. Really no one cared about her a few months ago and now everything she does gets praised. Though she was definetely more worse than Katie in this match. Sarita sold nothing, she missed her strikes several times, she had a bad timing and did wrong moves/actions…and she had no break of over 6 months without having a wrestling match. This is just silly.
And i say this in a neutral view, watching the match as a neutral person and rating it.
They both were bad, and Sarita did nothing good in there, wake up people. They were BOTH awful. For me Sarita is just worse, because she has no excuse for that. Katie at least has and we know she can do a lot better and will when she really is back.
I watched the match completely again and honestly, you really have to say they are both sloppy the same way and don’t really connect. And, i know i’m a die hard fan but this is not a fan opinion, counting the mistakes in the match, Sarita did more than Winter.
Saying that Sarita was great as usual and everything was Winters fault (and you can clearly get this image reading the comments here) is really wrong. Just not the truth.
BTW, if you watch it again and again, it is not THAT bad any more :D

I guess, if Kat’s finisher would have not looked so sloppy (i really wonder why she has problems with it now, in WWE she did them perfectly everytime) the complaining about her in this match would not be that big.
BTW, Mickie also had very sloppy matches at the beginning and is now doing much better. Don’t be so unfair. Give her the time. I think we all know she can do much better. I just fear it might not come back to her, i really hope not. Now she has the chance to shine. Hopefully she uses it.

b2t: i really hope Kat gets back her old shape. She had not much in ring time before this match, just a little bit in both tag team matches. The match was taped a month ago btw perhaps she now is in a much better shape, we can see next thursday ;)
I Agree with a lot of people here the match was kinda sloppy and not that great. But it was ok for what it was.
And Katie Lea can actually work check her matches out when she did Shimmer. especially aganist Daizee Haze.

@Trevon those who have seen it won’t deny that of course. But for TNA she did not have her best wrestling time till now and i don’t know why. I can only explain this with the long break she had, because when she left WWE she just had awesome matches on Superstars with Gail. And she always hit her backbreaker perfectly.

She had a try-out match with Madison Rayne in order to get into to the company. She also might have worked a few TNA house shows so shes not far with the ring-rust. Besides, Kat has years of experience and ring-rust is no excuse for the match that was put on. And I said it was hard to believe her work was all well-revolved and perfrected when she came to WWE and OVW and basically put on the most simple matches. So we just go on by what we see. And some people dont know info like that. In the end, Winter put on a bad match and some are questioning their judgement, especially after looking back.

Yes she hat the tryout and impressed the TNA office with it, so she did well there. And no, she has not done a houseshow till now, because she just does the tapings and then goes back to LA for her movie career. So these are the only matches she had. But it is just one match and people act like she is bad, which she is not. Perhaps it is ring rust, perhaps she just had a bad day…some comments here are just unfair, because Sarita was also not better.

With how sloppy Winter was it makes me reconsider that the WWE did do the right thing and released her. Also Winter needs to get rid of that wrap around her neck. It looks awful. Her outfit looks good just that’s thing throws it off. If it was black it could work.

THIS is exactly what i mean! Saying Sarita was awesome is just so false that you can not even discuss this. People here said i have a fan opinion but the only fan opinion comes from people who like Sarita! Sarita was sloppy as hell and had more mistakes than Winter. Of course Winter also was sloppy, but at least she had not that miss communication. Best example when she climbed the rope and what did Sarita? Surely not the right thing or what was planned. Not to mention her very awful strikes.
And the bandwagon is rolling and rolling. And if you have not noticed it, in WWE Katie was never sloppy. Just ring rust, my guess.

These are just so typical laughable comments. Everyone jumped the Winter bandwagon as she was signed and won the title and everyone celebrated. Now she had her first one on one match and it was not so good and right after it people judge her whole career from this one match and even say WWE did the right thing. (yes, thats why they keep wrestling “talents” like Kaitlyn, Bellas, Eve and other in ring crap). Next time when she will do better everyone here will celebrate it again. I think you are all not in the position to judge her this way, when you have just seen this. And btw, i can remember that her last singles match in WWE with Gail was liked VERY WELL here. This is her first singles tv match after that and now everyone goes the other way. This is what just freaking annoys me, because you are all no wrestling expertes, including me.
What about Mickie James? Her matches with Madison? Where they good? No, they have been sloppy also. She also needed some time to come back to her old shape. And you are judging Katie by THIS ONE MATCH? Oh my god.

And i hope you all notcied that Kat changed her in ring style? As Katie Lea she was dynamic and fast, now she is slow, but that fits her mysterious character.
And those who say that Sarita was good, are nowhere near a position to judge that match in a neutral view.
This is something that annoys me everytime. Someone gets praised and after she had a bad match, everyone jumps the wagon in the opposite direction. I just never said something, but now seeing that it happens with my fave, i felt i have to.

As far as the match was concerned, personally I liked it for what it was. Yes, the wrestling was sloppy and not very impressive, but both of them really tried to play up their characters, which was great. I liked how they tried to involve the Impact storyline into building this match.
Sarita really impressed me with her promo and mic work. I’ve always thought these were areas that she needed to work on, but I think she’s become very comfortable with the character now, and I’m really looking forward to her getting a title push later in the year (if this doesn’t happen I’ll be angry!).
Winter on the other hand is obviously under-performing wrestling wise. I’ve heard people remarking that her style is took ‘weak’, which is true. If she brought back the vicious, powerful style that she can do so well then she can get over. She really has to get it together soon though, or she’s really going to struggle getting back that momentum she had when her character first debuted.
I think for one thing, Katie Lea is perhaps focusing on playing her character too hard. If you watch her, she tries to act out the character every second she can, and no doubt it is having some effect on her actual wrestling. This should assumingly go away with time as she gets more used to playing Winter in-ring, but she should probably take down the act a notch until she gets the wrestling right (and that includes her attire).
@KatieLeaMinion: I think you need to try and not be so sensitive to other people’s comments. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, and opinions about whether the match was good, which wrestlers were good, .etc are subjective, and besides for stating your own opinion, you shouldn’t expect to be able to change other people’s.
Declaring that it is some ‘unquestionable truth’, whatever your opinion is, borders on zealotry. If you come to a place like this and expect everyone to agree with you, then you’re going to be disappointed. Pro-Katie Lea, and anti-Sarita forums might be more up your alley. Either that, or you stop taking these comments so seriously!
The problem is that Winter/Katie hasnt adapted the TNA style yet.
The TNA style seems like a tweaked version of the WWE style…

You have a point. I’m not sure if that’s true or not, but judging by every TNA Knockout whose had early matches in the company (Mickie James, Tara, ODB) – they weren’t horrible but you could tell that they were having some sort of “feeling out” process. (Obviously they have better matches now.) This could be what Katie is still going through considering she hasn’t had a lot of long, drawn-out matches in a TNA ring before.
I even remember at some point before Sarita debuted, they claimed that TNA officials weren’t happy with her in-ring work although she looked stellar when we did see her on TV. I don’t know. It’s a weird thing to judge. I’ve seen glimmers of Katie’s ring work in OVW, Shimmer and one or two matches in WWE. So you know she has it, but the question is why isn’t she bringing it out.
