In our three year history, Diva Dirt has largely refrained from having a strict commenting policy but as of today that changes. Frankly, there has been a great deal of abuse to our commenting system by users in recent memory and it’s not pleasant for visitors, or us.

The comments section is supposed to be a community for civilized discussion and debate. It is in our best interest to ensure that the comments section is friendly and welcoming, so effective today, we are implementing the following policy. If you choose to create a Diva Dirt user account and comment on an article, we ask that you adhere to this policy.

Additionally, we are installing a few comment moderators who will regularly check the comments section and remove anything that isn’t in compliance with our new policy. If you are interested in being a comment moderator, please email us at divadirt@gmail.com. Moderators should be current Diva Dirt users who regularly comment and are: sensible, mature and respectful. You should also make sure you have the available time to devote to the task. Rewards for moderators will be discussed privately and be offered at our discretion.

  1. thank u diva dirt..i was wondering why you guys didnt have these rules before…

  2. I agree with everything there. Some users need to watch their language and treat others with respect.

  3. Aw, so we can’t use the Raw Redux to argue endlessly about Melina’s tweets anymore? :(

  4. Good idea. Hopefully this stops people coming here just to spout hate filled crap.

  5. Im glad there is a new policy.
I hope there is no fighting policy as well. Some Diva Marks AND knockout marks bash eachother alot and it’s getting on my nerves

  6. Good idea this site rocks !!!!

  7. Well, people argueing over entertaining topics are enjoyable so i hope that isn’t against the new policy espicially since not all use swear words or so.

  8. Thats great, sometimes it does get heated and some people really do go over board..

  9. So glad this has been done! The amount of personal attacks against each other has just become silly

  10. i’ve always thought it weird how a bunch of like-minded people who want the best for women in wrestling just can’t get along, regardless of who your favourite wrestler is.

    thanks for this.

  11. I’m very happy about this decision!

  12. I am very glad to see you guys doing this. I am a 36 year old man and I have gotten to the point to where I did not even want to come to this site anymore because of all the childish immature rhetoric that goes on in the comments! Calling people names and insulting them for stating an opinion is rediculous. Glad to see Diva Dirt stepping up and taking control!

  13. @Kaledrina It’s just differing opinions. We all have different ideas of what is best. take TNA for example. Everyone talks about how it needs to be fixed but if you ask how to do it, you’ll get a different answer from every person.

  14. This is a great idea! I hate negativity!

  15. Great job by the Diva-dirt crew.. I’m getting bored with those hate comments.. Let’s just keep supporting the women wrestler, no matter how bad they are. XD

  16. Thats great news, a lot of DD regulars were waiting for something like this. There have always been a few trolls on the forum, but as Diva-Dirt became bigger things were starting to get out of hand.

  17. Although i’m glad to see this policy implemented, it’s truly a shame that such measures had to be put in place. Keep up the great work DD staff. @jjay, well said i’m 35 and i stopped commenting for the same reason as you.

  18. All I can say is finally.

  19. Got no problem with those rules. I use my real name just cause that’s the way I operate.Though i won’t reveal my age.Just say I’m past 50 and enjoy this site very much.Been a wrestling fan all my life.

  20. Thank You! I hope this gets people to respect one another’s opinion’s without calling people names. Espically Espically using Homophobic Terms ! I know Myself has expressed my opinion and commented on other people’s opinions. But I have neve rused HomoPhobic terms , or called them names. Im glad Diva-Dirt enforced this new rule (s).

Maybe now we wont get 200 comments on one article , on Michelle ,MCcOoL saying how she cant do this and why she dosent deserve this and that…..

  21. Shame it has to come to this, because there are people who cannot have a mature an intellectual debate about something. But its all for the best.

Thanks for doing this Diva Dirt!

  22. Also I would LOVe to be a Moderator , but my life is busy at the moment . (sigh) it would probably be so fun :( Ah well…..

  23. I hope the ignorant comment that was made towards me this afternoon wasn’t the catalyst for this decision. Either way, it’s a good idea..

  24. By the way, this is a good move by Diva Dirt, and is definitely in the right direction to cut out all those personal insults people throw around. I think everyone should still be allowed to debate, but when people start getting personal it’s just ugly to read.

  25. pornographic? i didnt see stuffs like that since i joined here. hard rules. anyway, good deed!

  26. Great job DivaDirt, I know Melanie has been reading a lot of interesting internet articles on the subject so I was kind of expecting something like this.

  27. great decision………
even i am reader from a long time but i dont comment that often because of some people putting immature language

  28. Really great news, after the comment insulting the gay community. I don’t know why some people consider us something disgusting and use the word gay to attack. Myself, as a gay guy, don’t enjoy reading people attacking me by saying “you’re gay”. Even though i am indeed gay, when I read that as an attack it really is unconfortable. Thank’s diva-dirt for once again prove that this is the best site around to stick at. I feel at home!

We all lose our temper sometimes. I know I had my share of bad comments, but some people really try to go further and be really mean. I’m one of the users who doesn’t hide my real personality and picture.

  29. @seasons-of-love I know, right? What on earth are we going to talk abouu now?!
Seriously, this is great. The reason that I havent been comenting alot lately is because I was just sick of how childish some arguements were becoming. I enjoy a lively debate as much as the next person, but some people have yet to learn how to respect other people’s opions and agree to disagree.

  30. I never have understood how a debate on WWE/TNA etc could lead to name calling, it’s pretty sad. Good move DD.

  31. Wow, what’s been going on? I totally agree with having a policy, though. There has to be SOME pleasant place to discuss wrestling, and for respectful people to share their varying opinions. Really, what was there ever to get mad about, anyway? It’s something I’ve never been able to understand. “Agree to disagree” and keep it moving if that’s the case. :P

  32. Great move here. I’ve been coming to the site for awhile and it’s nice to see that, there will be some control over the comments section now. Inappropriate comments have ranged clear for far too long.

  33. woo hoo!
    i want a don’t feed the trolls t-shirt

  34. Hi all…we will try our very best to clean up the comments…I guess it is possible 1 or 2 could slip through now and again, but know we will make an honest effort to be consistent and fair. Oh, and I will personally delete any comments that don’t support Beth. :-)

  35. Everybody should try to be very civilized to one another wrestling fans by having a very mature discussion about wrestling whether it be from TNA or from The WWE or from the Independent scene like Shimmer or WSU. Times that I have been here that I have never ever lower myself to insult a fellow wrestling fans, cause I know that everyone is entitled to their opinions and I would never stoop so low to resort myself to name calling and they have never resorted themselves to call me names.

  36. I haven’t been offended by the level of ignorance on here personally, but I’ve read some nasty diatribe which has left a bad taste in my mouth. Some of the comments have become progressively worse in the past few months, which is a shame because Diva Dirt is really the only reliable haven for women’s wrestling. Hopefully this new policy enforces people to engage with their brain’s before they post, and decreases the annoying level of trolls.

  37. Rejoice! People always attacking me in the comments is the reason why I stopped visiting this website as much as I used to..
