According to PWInsider, WWE will officially announce Tammy ‘Sunny’ Sytch for its Hall of Fame class of 2011 tomorrow.
It was reported a couple of weeks ago that the former WWE Diva, often recognised as the ‘original Diva’, is a lock for this year’s Hall of Fame ceremony due to take place in Atlanta next month.
The company will make the announcement on Raw tomorrow night.

I was really hoping that Madusa would be inducted this year. I think she deserves to be in the HOF before Sunny, although I definitely agree with Sunny being HOF-worthy.
Hopefully this segment only lasts 2 minutes because i will be switching the channel right away.

I have no problem with Tammy going in. As a manager/valet she had a huge impact on the tag division in the short time she was with WWE. I was hoping if they were going to induct a woman this year, they would have chosen Luna. Luna did a lot for the company, including helping put over Alundra Blaze & Sable. Luna’s family history is rich with wrestling, with her uncle already in the HOF, she should be there with him.
This topic will never go away of Sunny being inducted into the HOF.

To Make things Clear I dont have a problem with what Sunny in genral , I just dont like her attidude. For someone who has only had 1 Match ever in wwe , she shoudnt be talking about wrestling skills , whats she see’s standing outside the ring is way different from actaully getting in the ring.

That said Sunny is far more recognizable and made a bigger impact in the WWE than most of those listed. Going by your username you were 5 when Sunny was at her height so a lot of here impact is lost on you, trust she was a major deal at the time.
Whether people love her or hate her, she does deserve her place! She was the original diva and opened the door for female characters who showed charisma and personality.
The HoF is about people’s role in the business and she was a pinnacle of change for the WWE roster today!

Honestly, despite her not being one of my favorite people outside the ring, Tammy deserves the award. Yes, I said it. Although she isn’t the nicest girl ever, “Sunny” was the first woman of the Diva Mold that we see today. She helped introduce and glamorize the role of a woman in the WWE, as it relates to being the pretty face. She helped open the market for sexy chicks in WWE. Sure we had Miss Elizabeth and Marlena too, but they weren’t exactly the girl next door that Sunny was. They certainly didn’t have the prescence and charisma that Sunny did. This is in no way, meant to disrespect the other ladies, because i think we can appreciate and love the others for their own contributions. Sunny wasn’t as talented as someone like say, Lita or Trish; but she carried herself like a superstar whenever she made an appearance and had her glamor and charm to get her noticed and get her over with the fans. Tammy may be alot of things, but Sunny was a superstar and stood out for her time in the WWE. She didn’t do a whole lot in the grand scheme of things it seems, but Sunny should be recognized for being a superstar manager/valet ahead of the curve. A diva mold, we would later see grow and expand to this very day.
Always nice to see a female get some sort of props from the WWE. I think Sunny is HoF material but there are other in-ring workers that I would have chosen before her. Oh well. It’s the WWE. We all know what they value most, when it comes to females. lol Congrats to Tammy! I’m sure she will love this, until Sable gets in. LMAO

@kenu91 I agree with that list of women who should be inducted into the HOF before Sunny,WWE Wrestling Fans these days wouldn’t even know the like of Rockin Robin,Velvet Mcintyre (no relations to Drew McIntyre)Jumping Bomb Angels,Bertha Faye,and others who have fought before Sunny had even decided to become a manager to her late boyfriend Chris Candido,and The BodyDonnas,but at least you have did your research of the Women who were in The WWF before they changed to WWE .There were guys who was wrestling way before I was even born yet or before I has took an interest in pro wrestling that was inducted into the HOF,that I didn’t have a clue on who they were,but I was glad that they have paved away for the next generations of wrestlers to paved the way for next ones and so forth,so they know that there were wrestlers kick butts everytime that they were schedule to wrestle that they were either on TV or at a Live event.

Here are the criteria for induction into the WWE HoF: Does Vince like you? Does Vince think you’ll help sell tickets to the HoF ceremony and/or Wrestlemania? Can Vince reach a mutually satisfactory financial agreement with you? That’s it. Debating whether so-and-so deserves to be in or not is kind of pointless, since merit isn’t a consideration at all.
well , hearing about sunny being inducted made me sort of…. gag . i think a lot of other IN-RING female wrestlers should have been inducted into the HOF . Luna Vachon , Lita , Trish Stratus , Torrie Wilson , Jazz .. just to name a few ! but , congrats to sunny .. *sighs*

I honestly don’t know who the heck Sunny is? But I do know the original diva is “Sable” Not this sunny character! From What I’ve read so-far She doesn’t seem Like a very big deal. And since I’ve yet To hear her name (besides a while ago on DD when she criticized the current divas). She can’t be a to important.
i agree with alot Sable is the Original Diva, not Sunny but i find it dumb to induct Shawn and induct Sunny the same year, we all no the stories of Shawn and SUnny in WWF, and how the dont speak anymore, and all that stuff, so that should be interesting and plus like there are alot more BETTER women that should go into the Hall of Fame before this person
