I’m quite interested in finding out who will induct her.
That video was all kinds of awsome! I loved that they used the Bobby Hebb song “Sunny”. This promo made me fall in love with Sunny all over again :)

I also wonder who will induct her. Too bad Chris isn’t here to do it. I hope she mentions Chris. It will be emotional if she does.

Congrats “Sunny.” I hope she gets her wish and is inducted by Trish Stratus. She never won a Championship, so this HOF Induction is a nice touch to end her WWE career.

I thought i was going to hate seeing this on RAW. But i kinda loved it!
It’s nice. I remember sunny from 1996, she was good to watch.
The woman behind sunny isn’t the best of individuals but hey.
I’m happy in the fact that now Sunny is in.. surely it’s only a matter of time before the REAL original diva, Sable gets a spot. Sunny kind of deserves it.. Sable REALLY deserves it. She inspired and started a group of women. Won the title. The first diva to do playboy. And the first woman to call herself a “WWF Diva” She was a phenomenon during the Attitude era. Just as, if not more, popular that Tammy in the mid-late 90s.
If you take her WWE run alone I’d say she deserves a spot. She was the hot chick but also understood the business and was really smart. Sunny had a lot of personality and charisma which made her stand out from others. She wasn’t just a valet, but actually a manager.

Hmmm. I think that she would eventually get inducted into the Hall of Fame, but I didn’t imagine that she would get inducted this early. I’ve always seen the HOF as a place for old people.

Well it is what it is. Nothing any of us can do about it if we don’t like it. I wonder who actually decides the Hall of Fame, Vince would certainly have approved of it.
I have to say that the quality of that video is abysmal, but anyway. The Sunny promo was a very good promotion of Sunny, albeit flattering. I think she was being referred to as ‘one of the original Divas’, which was a relief. I couldn’t stand if she was actually given the official title as ‘The Original Diva’. There have definitely been several women who have built that ‘Diva legacy’ (if such a thing even exists), so it would be unfair if Sunny was given ownership of it. Also the Sin Cara promo was pretty lol.
She did deserve a place some time for her contributions so I hope she enjoys being inducted. But I really do hope this means that some of the ‘modern’ women wrestlers will be inducted in the coming years (Chyna, Molly Holly, Ivory, .etc).

Miss Elizabeth (as well as Luna) definitely deserve to be in it before any of these girls but the WWE are definitely shying away from drug related deaths. If she would have died from “natural causes”, Elizabeth would have been in there years ago.

I can’t believe WWE Sunny is the #1 trending topic on Yahoo. That’s it, she’s in. The WWE will definitely give her a comeback at this point. Love her or hater her, her name greatest controversy and makes people talk. I’d like for them to give her a heel role that’s similar to VIckie. I don’t really want them to insert her into the divas division and have her wrestle. She needs something difference, maybe a GM. Something like Vickie & Stephanie have done in the past.

She did nothing that girls like Missy Hyatt did years before. Also yes Liz, Luna, and Sable deserve it more, even Heyman said so which is still funny how vince wants Brock at wm and knowing Rena would be with him and tammy is being inducted in the hof and knowing the jealousy tammy has for Rena then. BUT THIS IS IN ATLANTA AND ATLANTA IS THE HOME OF WCW AND NWA, BUT NO MADUSA AND YES IT’S MAD USA MADE IN THE USA BABY! I know most people who comes to this sites are kids so I kinda feel for you for not understanding what respect for the past/respect your elders is.

If drugs were an issue for WWE they wouldnt have selected Sunny, she has a long history of alcohol and drugs, it got her fired from WWE, ECW and WCW. She was even involved in that pornsite with Missy Hyatt in the past. So i doubt drugs are the reason why Elizabeth hasnt been inducted yet. I just think that WWE prefers people that are still alive to induct in their twisted version of a HOF.
@ Mikas- She has a long history of alcohol and drugs as does Shawn Michaels and probably the majority of those who have been inducted already.
The WWE does not even mention deceased wrestlers on their tv anymore if their death was drug related. Luna did not receive a mention, nor did Test, Umaga, Lance Cade, etc. They are very sensitive and wary to put over anyone who has died from drug issues and will go out of their way to distance themselves from them. Like I said, if Elizabeth died from something other than drugs, she’d definitely be in. They always induct someone posthumously every year.
Theres a difference between a deceased wrestler (via drugs) and a wrestler who is reformed and healthy (well as reformed as she says she is I guess) Id say 80% of the HOF will have history with drugs as its sadly a huge part of tyhe lifestyle in the business, but it will be much harder for them to glorify someone who has died from drugs than someone who may have used drugs in the past but is alive.
That pretty much sucks as id rather have Elizabeth or Luna before Sunny, but theres a method behind WWE’s madness sadly. :-(
Sunny’s Hall of Fame announcement gained 219,000 more viewers on Raw then the divas match lost more.
The increase in viewers is likely attributed to the Sunny video as this part in the show did a 5.2 rating among teenage boys, which beat everything else on the show except Steve Austin’s return.
Following the “Original Diva” keeping viewers tuned in, the Divas Title match between Eve Torres and Nikki Bella lost 610,000 viewers. This match had a 4.2 rating among teenage boys and as noted, the Sunny segment did a 5.2.
