Former WWE Intercontinental and Women’s Champion, Chyna weighed in on Jersey Shore star Snooki’s involvement at WrestleMania to TMZ.
Chyna told the tabloid site that Snooki “is trying to make a joke out of wrestling” and that she wouldn’t be opposed to teaching her a lesson!
The 9th Wonder tells the site she’d come out of retirement to face Snooki: “I could take on Snooki AND The Situation in a tag match and have some fun doing it.”c

@Robert: The only people I see making money out of this are the McMahon family, WWE shareholders, and Snooki. I doubt any of the actual wrestling talent is going to be making more money out of this. The money that WWE talent makes is incredibly disproportionate to WWE revenue. But you’re definitely right when you say it’s about the money.
To be honest, if Snooki is able to bring Chyna out of retirement, it would probably be the only good thing to come out of Snooki in her life.
But yeah, I don’t think Snooki is purposefully trying to make a joke out of wrestling, but she is still doing exactly that as she tries to keep her name relevant.
Every year WWE gets some celebrity involved around Wrestlemania, they’ve been doing that for 20+ years. And every year this involvement has sucked, but now that it’s Snooki this year, all of a sudden it’s a joke?
The only people I see making money out of this are the McMahon family, WWE shareholders, and Snooki. I doubt any of the actual wrestling talent is going to be making more money out of this.
Wrestlers in WWE get a bonus for being on PPV, so good sales figures also benefit the wrestlers that are on the PPV. Naturally the owners/shareholders make the most money, but thats no different than TNA, ROH or any other entertainment company.
Chyna can come out of retirement to face the likes of Beth Phoenix,Natalya,Melina, Gail,and Awesome Kong,but How about the likes of Michelle McCool or Tamina? Chyna just want her piece of Snooki,then next thing you know it Madusa wants to come out of retirement to face Beth Phoenix,Natalya,Melina,Gail,Michelle McCool,or even Snooki,but hate to tell Chyna that Snooki is not a wrestler,and everybody knows the saying “Pick on someone your own size” .

Whether Chyna’s joking or not, the whole Snooki thing is being taken way too seriously. Wrestlemania is supposed to be a big, fun event. Snooki is going to be there to entertain and give the match attention it wouldn’t have been given if it was just Divas.
It start with Mr.T,Cyndi Lauper and now Snooki will be among the list of celebrities who have been at WrestleMania ever since 1985.
If Chyna wants to come out of retirement to wrestle Snooki & The Situation,she shouldn’t waste her time on someone who are just there as an one time deal when there are others who are in it for the long haul.
So Chyna thinks that she is some old time shooter traditionalist now? Give me a break she was a novelty act whose 15 mins of fame are over.

I personally would love nothing more than for Chyna to come out of retirement and wrestle again. I was a HUGE Chyna fan back in the day and really miss seeing her on TV. My dream match would be for her to come back and have a match with Awesome Kong. I do agree with @drayme and think she was more of a novelty act than she was a great wrestler but she was still a joy to watch at the time. Unfortunately though she has made such a mess out of herself that I seriously do not see her coming back anytime soon. None of the major promotions will have her.
With one being said that one can argue that any wrestlers who has made such a mess out of themselves when they have major problems that they can go in both major promotions,then Why can’t Chyna? Before Beth Phoenix came on the scene that there was Chyna that has put men and women on notice in The WWF at the time. Last time I check that she wants to be a Teacher in Japan to teach them English,at least we all know that she is okay that she is not among the people who lost their lives in that horrific earthquake in Japan.As long as she is 100% clean and sober and won’t be anymore trouble then she can come back. @Drayme: Chyna was not just a novelty by any means… She’s 100 Million times better than most of the “Divas” and “Knockouts”. She made an impact on professional wrestling and without a doubt left a legacy behind.
I’d love to see Chyna come back- like everyone else said, I’d love for her to come back against current Divas (except Kelly, Rosa, Kaitlyn, etc…) and prove to the WWE Universe that Women’s Wrestling isn’t dead.

She is in no shape to step back into the ring, she is completely messed up right now. She would just become the female version of Scott Hall or Jeff Hardy. Right now people still have positive memories about her, but if she comes back those memories will be destroyed.

It is a novelty in most promotions. But it doesnt have to be. Just look at Sara del Rey & Daizee Haze in Chikara. They have had some very good matches against the men there, especially their match against Jigsaw & Mike Quackenbush (Young Lions Cup VIII, night one) was great. A very hard-hitting match where Jigsaw/Quack didnt hold back just because they were fighting women. And then you have women like Lufisto and Mickie Knuckles who easily competed with men in insane matches.

Her character and star appeal was what made people like her. She was something new and different than what fans were used to seeing at the time. I mean honestly if she were to step into the ring with Awesome Kong even at her prime, Kong would wipe the floor with her hahaha

The way I see it, Intergender Wrestling is not a Novelty in the indys, where it is getting a slow yet quick uprise…think of it as a rite of passage for up and coming female wrestlers
Im telling you diva fans are just as shady and sometimes contradicting as some of the idiotic male fans who diss women in the ring a few weeks ago when a post came out about Chyna she was getting nothing but praise now cause she made one comment about SNokki she is this that and the third. Im sure Chyna was just joking trying to create a little buzz that is all Chyna is a legend in wrestling without her we might not of had the Beth Phoenix, Tara. Jazz and other muscular dominate women. People who keep screaming she was not that good of a wrestler have to remember she wrestled men for most of her career and also she did not wrestle on a regular til about the last 2 of her run. Chyna was not a bad wrestler. She actually had some good matches in New Japan. She was above average..but ofcouse, her wrestling men in WWE was a novelty. It wasn’t about skills, it was about her size and beauty. That’s what Vince banked on if it makes sense.
Anyway, I recently had a dream where Chyna and Lita returned. It was awesome. The fans were chanting for them for a Wrestlemania apperance. WWE had MNM vs. Team Xtreme and for whatever reason, Kong showed up to destroy Lita and Melina which brought out Chyna. Weird dream lol.

Another point, Chyna was most likely kidding. Granted I dont know her, so I honestly can say that she was just sarcasticly talkin about the whole snooki WM thing. Chyna was cool, I wil say she wasn’t my favorite “wrestler,” but she was one of my favorite superstars and fun to watch. A LOT more than most if not all of the current fluff divas of today.
@Mikas Chikara is an Indy promotion with undersized wrestlers not a major league promotion.
@Marshy Those matches weren’t treated seriously her matches were mostly with the Disco Inferno, a comedy wrestler. While her Memphis stuff was playing off Andy Kaufman’s run there wrestling women again as a comedy spot in a comedy heavy promotion.

Her trip in Japan wasn’t really a succes, i think she was pulled off after only 4 matches. In WWE she looked decent, but in Japan she just didnt fit in. The matches she had were somewhat decent, but only because she was allowed to work with legends like Chono. Although he did make her look a little bit like a joke (and the crowd loved it).
Who the hell said u need a certain amount of years to be able to be considered a legend. By the way she actually worked in the WWE for 5 years, then moved on to other promotions!
Chyna was simply amazing in Japan, which by the way she is the first female to work in that male orginization! The same company that had hired Muhammid Ali. Tell me which other female could have ever accomplished that?! No one, just CHYNA!!

Regardless of how she was viewed, in my opinion she had good matches out there. She seemed very agile, and adapted well to their style of grappling.
Her match with Chono looked real stiff, she took a few tough spots. Shes fierce!
Chyna has about the same chance of ever returning to WWE as Hornswoggle has of pinning ‘Taker clean at next years WM.
She did have some good matches wrestling the guys in WWE, but she was carried by Y2J and Eddie.

Let me school you here for a sec. If 4 years doesn’t make you a legend, then can you please tell me why Sunny, a women who was only around for 3 years, and only ever wrestled 1 match, which was like 10 post her wrestling career, is getting inducted into the Hall of Fame?

Chyna had her career, she was beloved by the fans, on top of the world for sometime. She isn’t a perfect human being, but then again, neither is anyone else. I’m not going to crap on her legacy because she’s had personal issues. That’s just not the type of person I happen to be. Chyna was great during her time and nobody can taint or erase that.

No I dont think so, she was brought on with the company in 96. Just not on tv. Besides the last time Flair was brought back he barely wrestled as well.
Is Chyna better than Austin and Flair?? Probably not, those two r one of the best ever, but can u rank any other female that could get closer than her? No. As far as females go, shes the real deal. Shes an awesome athlete, and a wonderful entertainer.

Again with the accusations, I see. I can see how you can derive such a thought given your past posts.
But, again, I hate to break it to you: as far as the statements are concerned, Chyna isn’t really flaunting her tenure or her REAL skill as a pro-wrestler. Perhaps, she is simply expressing her disdain over the fact that this Snooki girl is in one of the biggest North American wrestling pay-per-views regardless of the fact that those who trained and worked hard for that spot are not there. For all we know, she could simply be seeking some share of the spotlight. Who knows?
