SHIMMER Volume 40 Taping Results Live from Berwyn, Illinois

SHIMMER returns to Berwyn, IL this weekend to tape Volumes 37-40 in its DVD series. Diva Dirt’s Cryssi, Eric and Steven are on hand bringing live results:

Main event will be Hamada vs Eagles for the SHIMMER Championship.

1. Kellie Skater def. Taylor Made.

2. Rachel Summmerlyn def. Bonesaw in a pretty sloppy, slow paced match.3. Mercedes Martinez def. Christina Von Eerie with the Fisherman Buster. Both women were very over.

4. MsChif def. Melanie Cruise with the Desacrator in a surprisingly even match.

5. Jessie McKay defeated Athena with the Boyfriend Stealer. Lengthy back and forth between the two which saw Athena kick out of the Schoolgirl Crush and Jessie kick out of Athena’s top turnbuckle stunner.

6. The Knight Dynasty def. Regeneration X due to Knox interference. After the match Leva did a crossbody off the top turnbuckle on to the Knights while Danger goes on the attack against Knox. Allison Danger lays Knox out with a Shimmering Warlock. Probably the weakest of the Knights matches. Hopefully these two will face off again when Leva is less green.

7. Sara Del Rey def. Jessica James with the Royal Butterfly. Jessica nearly won the match several times with a string of submission moves. Crowd very into this match.

Four corner survival featuring Portia Perez, Serena Deeb, Lufisto and Cheerleader Melissa up next!

8. Serena Deeb def. Cheerleader Melissa, Lufisto and Portia Perez. First half saw Portia avoid Serena until she couldn’t anymore. Melissa and Lufisto brawl backstage as Serena destroys Portia. Serena hits the spear to pick up the win. However, the win was a controversial one as Portia had her foot on the rope.

9. Ayumi Kurihara def. Nicole Matthews with a belly to belly suplex. Very back and forth match.

10. Tomoka Nakagawa and Daizee Haze def. 3S for the Shimmer Tag Team Championships. Long match with oodles of nearfalls. Cryssi and Eric screamed ourselves hoarse at the result.

11. Madison Eagles def. Hamada to retain the SHIMMER Championship after two Hellbounds.

@Mikas – just because I critique one match does not mean that the show was going to be horrible. I’m just giving my fellow Texans support. I a little pissed off that they didn’t make RAJETT have a tag match. Oh, well. Mabye next set of tapings they will.

It is strange they werent used in tagteam matches, but with all the new tagteams (Regeneration-X, 3S, Knight Dynasty and Haze/Tomoko) they probably had too many. But their time will come eventually.

imj1995 – yes Rayna is done with wrestling. she wanted to pursue singing, and was in the wrestling business for the wrong reasons.

Laqisha, your posts really are beginning to get annoying.

Rumours went around that Rayna was full of herself and Daizee didn’t take too kindly to continue training her. I don’t know how true that is but it could be true.

My favorites in SHIMMER are Kellie Skater, Misaki Ohata, The Knight Dynasty, The Canadian Ninjas… Them especially but you gotta respect ‘em all.

jetta also retired from wrestling:( I was a fan of hers, she was so funny with her arm pumping lol and she was also close to beating mischif for the shimmer title back in a earlier volume. she had so much potential

@WWForeverWWE I really miss Wesna… She was amazing! I know it’s really got nothing to do with Jetta except they both left wrestling and they have the same number of letters and amount of sylables in their names. AND THEY’RE BOTH AMAZING WRESTLERS.

too bad sarita aka sarah stock won’t be at these tapings, i guess like madison rayne she can’t commit to it due her actually getting pushed in TNA, but we’re lucky to have these 2 on our TV every week, sometimes we don’t realize how lucky we are to see certain talents

@Ellé WAIT WHAT!!!! I didn’t know wesna retired, she had those epic matches with cheerleader melissa and was so talented(even though I was always routing for melissa), but what happened???

It must be strange more Madison Rayne. In TNA she plays the “Queen-Bee” and from the last I remember her in SHIMMER she was in a tag team and was like a bubbly blue-chipper. When did she last appear, I haven’t been keeping up since like volume 29/30.

WWFoverWWE, actually according to dave (prazak), tna is starting to charge too much for indy promotions to use their talent so less companies are using tna talent. And I heard Rayna stopped showing up to training and just didn’t have that passion everyone at roh school thought she did.
