Following Trish Stratus’ endorsement of Chyna going into the WWE Hall of Fame, Jim Ross addressed the idea in his latest blog.
He writes:
So Trish Stratus endorsed Chyna for the WWE HOF. That’s Trish’s opinion. I’m sure Chyna’s name might come up some day. My thoughts on that matter is and will always remain that I felt it was wrong for Chyna to wrestle men on a regular basis and that her being the Intercontinental Champion was bad positioning. Does that mean that Chyna isn’t WWE HOF worthy? That’s not for me to speculate on as I am not in the decision making process of the WWE HOF.

he always comes across as borderline bigoted to me. it’s like in one post he’ll hype up the likes of gail, beth, melina, etc. but then the next time he’ll be saying how women shouldn’t be in hardcore matches and should never bleed on tv =/
i actually preferred chyna when she was wrestling the women of her time than being involved heavily with the men, but it’s like he’s blaming her for doing what she was told do by his bosses?
Im not a fan of his at all the yelling at commentary over selling everything he was just to much like a old drag queen full of caffeine. JR has never been big on Chyna i remember when she first got released he was saying how she was to big for her britches and etc. Bottom line there were no women back then able to step in the ring with Chyna at the time, sure they had Lita and Molly later but could you have imagined her wrestling Sable and Terri? There were no Beth, Nattie, Gail then women who could go toe to toe with Chyna. Her becoming IC Champion was big and to me one of the biggest moments for women in wrestling. JR always has something to say which i get tired of hearing.
Like most times, I am in total agreement with JR.
Because its JR lets see how many people turn on Chyna lol dead
I wasn’t a fan of Chyna wrestling the guys either. Never looked convincing and she was just lackluster. Then again, she wasn’t all that great against the females either. I think her disdain for women’s wrestling eclipsed even Sunny’s.
J.R. is very old school, and I can respect that. Doesn’t mean I agree.
Chyna has defintiely had a HOF worth career, and deserves to go into the WWE HOF more then just about any woman that hasn’t already been inducted except for Miss Elizabeth.
Chyna broke barriers, and new ground. There sure as hell won’t ever be another female IC champion. Chyna is the only woman that will hold that honor. She made it possible for Beth Pheonix to participate in the RR. She is the histroy making diva, and deserves her spot in HOF.
@Jamal Chyna has never had a problem or thought negatively about women wrestling she preferred to wrestle men yes but did you read her book she praised a few of the women and she has always said how she respect the other women in the business even Moohlah praised her in her book
@ jabiousmckenzie. Yes, I read her book. But her matches were horribly one-sided and she very seldom sold. Not to mention women like Ivory have mentioned Chyna thinking that she was better than the division. Which is really funny because every woman in that division was a better worker than she was from Molly and Luna to Jacqueline and Ivory.
Chyna wrestling man was not a problem I think , I was young at the time so I cant really say much. Looking back and watching some of her matches wrestling man , I mean yeah she wrestled Men but they ddnt take it outta proportian. They kept it stricly fair still going by the Men vs Women you know Law or w.e. Its not like they put her in a steel cage and had her powerbombed through the cage…lol
Besides Chyna winning The IC Championship ,becoming the 1st Women to Win The IC Title & In The Royal Rumble is grand because nobody is going to expect to see that. It was just a way of showing Women can wrestle and be just like the men too. I think thats one of the things Chyna enjoyed.
Besides when she wrestled The Divas it seemed so unReal. Can you see some one like Maryse pinning chyna as big as she is. Knowing all Chyna had to do was push her down and lay on her for the win. lol
That was one persons opinion though i have never heard to many females come out and have bad things to say about Chyna
@javious for some reason jr just doesn’t like her, i guess. he only ever seems to mention chyna when it involves her personal issues.. and the only reason he mentions those is to put over the whole wwe alumni care program thing (whatever t’s real name is).
i mean, it wasn’t that long ago jr was calling women’s wrestling a “supplement” to the real (men’s) wrestling. he is very clever with his words, though.. it’s like he doesn’t directly put down women in wrestling but yet he does, ya know?
Chyna was one of the worst workers in her weight-class, as generally men her size(5’10″ 180lbs) must be very good to make it in WWF/WWE. There might be 100 women wrestling today who have more skill than Chyna had. But the thing about her is that she was a spectacle. She had “freak-show” appeal that made her popular. She did some things that no woman has done. If they are going to put Sunny in the HOF, Chyna should be an easy choice.
i bet the only reason he said that about chyna is that she isnt in wwe graces/goodside..
chyna broke more walls then any other woman i can think off & is one of the most popular divas the wwe’s had..during chynas time i can only think of tori who could have had the most realistic matches with chyna since they both had similar body sizes, just that tori wasnt put in the ring that often or was managing someone…
i hope one day they recognize what chyna did for the wwe but i know trish will prop be inducted next year over chyna & thats a laugh..
@YourHero chyna wasnt one of their worst workers LOL their have been MANY i can name who are worse/r then chyna ever was….
agree with @Kaladrina
1 minute he makes me think he appreciates woman’s wrestling, then the next he says something a bit sexist, i wonder if he also thinks Jacqueline shouldn’t have won the cruiserweight title
Uh I’m sorry, since when was it “wrong for Chyna to wrestle men on a regular basis and that her being the Intercontinental Champion was bad positioning”? This totally came out of left field for me.
I always agree with JR. He is very discrete and really cares for the talent of the company. I do believe that Chyna is HOF bound, more so than Sunny if you ask me, I can’t stand the woman.
After everything Chyna went through, with the fall out with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon that led to the end of her career…I just really feel she got the short-end of the stick. I think she left behind a legacy, and was really the only woman at that time, that should of been able to wrestle men, other than Lita, Jazz, & Jackie.
But when it comes down to it, I hate seeing women wrestling men.
It is really out of place I think. Lita kept it simple for the most part, doing her Diving Hurricanrana which the crowd loved.
Chyna preferred to wrestle men, and that is respectable. She made history, and she more than deserves to be in the Hall of Fame.
I have mixed feelings about this. I dont know if JR is being sexist or if he just means that Chyna
should have spent more time putting over the womens division. Either way Chyna was never a good in-ring competitor. When she wrestled men she almost always had to be carried through out the entire match. When she faced women she didnt bother selling or taking any bumps. It just felt like she didnt respect the women as much as she respected the men. Dont get me wrong, I thought she was one of the most charismatic characters in wrestling and she certainly broke down barriers. I dont know. We’ll just see, wont we?
i think Chyna will eventually go into the Hall of Fame just like Trish, Lita as well as Sable and Miss Elizabeth i think they are the top 5 that will go in next
@Teri – What he means is that he doesn’t like the way that the women have been placed over the years. He doesn’t believe that women should wrestle men, and in actuality they really shouldn’t. Yes a lot of people find it entertaining, but it just doesn’t look right. Because she is stronger than all the other women doesn’t mean she shouldn’t wrestle them.
Its the same thing with Awesome Kong; JR doesn’t want her wrestling men either and really neither do I.
Also for anyone who wants to hear any interviews with past Divas including Chyna, Sensational Sherri, Sable, & Sunny etc. I have the place for you!
YouTube member “TheOriginalDivaSable” has many great interviews on their channel that may open your eyes to things that went on backstage, especially the interview with Chyna about her release, Triple H leaving her and everyone knowing about it but her, etc. Great listens for those interested.
:)
I can’t say I agree or disagree with JR on this comment because the info is insubstantial.
If he doesn’t like Chyna’s stint wrestling with men simply because she was a woman, then shame on him. Seriously. One of the main reasons why the wrestling industry barely improved its views toward women is because of the way its major players treat them to begin with. Granted its mostly a man’s world but that does not justify archaic gender beliefs and bigotry.
On the other hand, if he does not approve of Chyna wrestling men and winning the title simply because she wasn’t a solid wrestler, then, I agree with him. For me, Chyna was more like Batista. She may have had the body but she wasn’t as skilled as that body suggested. She wasn’t very fluid in the ring in my opinion. She could do a lot of things but she rarely did them well. She was very flashy and strong but her skills rarely go beyond those points.
I think that Lita or Ivory should induct Chyna. She and Triple H haven’t spoken since she left, and Eddie Guerrero R.I.P is gone.
Personally, I believe that women deserve to be beaten up, cut open and respected just as much as men do if it is within their consent. The problem with some women is that they want to be respected but they would say certain things like “you can’t hit me, I’m a girl.” NO Honey. He/she can’t hit you because you’re a human being. NOT BECAUSE YOU’RE A GIRL.
As for Chyna wrestling with men, like I said, my only problem was she wasn’t that good of a wrestler. But there shouldn’t be any problem with men wrestling women because seriously, in the real world, a lot of women can be tougher than men. Men maybe inherently physically stronger (in general) but if they’re willing to let Rey Mysterio be booked as a World Champion, then women should be treated better than they are now.
I guess when you think about it, JR possibly doesn’t think that Chyna didn’t do anything for the womens division.
I you really think about it, did she? She changed what people saw on TV during her time on TV. She broke down barriers for herself. Not for the womens division as a whole. Chyna wrestled for Chyna.
You don’t see women coming in now trying to be the next Chyna, they want to be the next Lita, Molly Holly, Moolah, Ivory etc.
There are only a handful of women on the current wrestling scene that can wrestle men due to their physical appearance; ie: Beth Phoenix, Natalya, Kong, & Isis. Isis & Kong are both more than 2x’s the size of Chyna and neither of them wrestle men. Isis does more often, but not always.
Beth wrestled Santino & was in the Rumble, Natalya wrestled men in the dungeon, but you wont see them go out there like Chyna did and win the IC title. Chyna was uniqu because she didn’t choose to be just another woman wrestling women, she wanted to stand out. She is the fine line between Diva | Superstar.
There are only a handful of women that I think belong there, Lita, Jazz, Molly, Victoria/Tara, Jackie, Kong, Beth, Natalya, Sherri, Elizabeth, Sable, Moolah, they weren’t/aren’t Divas in my opinion, they were/are womens wrestlers. They were something different and all deserve a spot in the Hall of Fame.
They aren’t there for the fame, they are there to entertain, and do what they love.
They are living their dreams, but unknowingly changing the womens division. idk, I need to stop ranting on about this though.
“Besides Chyna winning The IC Championship ,becoming the 1st Women to Win The IC Title & In The Royal Rumble is grand because nobody is going to expect to see that. It was just a way of showing Women can wrestle and be just like the men too. I think thats one of the things Chyna enjoyed.”
I honestly don’t believe that Chyna in the Rumble had anything to do with showing the world that women can wrestle, it was Chyna’s thing. Its not like you will see Kelly Kelly in the rumble.
I love JR and I love Chyna, and I can admit that Chyna was no Molly or Natalya in the ring, but she did a lot in the WWE (much more than Drew Carey) and she does deserve to go in one day, but I’m sure their are a lot of fences that need mending before she gets the opportunity. NO ONE thought Bret Hart would be in a WWE ring again, but he returned, why can’t Chyna?
JR is 100% right and he was also head of talent relations so he had to deal with her and the trouble she would cause.
She did think wrestling women was behind her just look at her matches with Ivory and Lita. In 2001 she saw herself as Rock or Austin level star demanding a 800,000 dollar contract.
Also those who say she is a ground breaker have to counter balance that it had to do with who she was dating at the time rather than merit.
I honestly don’t believe that Chyna in the Rumble had anything to do with showing the world that women can wrestle, it was Chyna’s thing. Its not like you will see Kelly Kelly in the rumble.
I ddnt say nothing about Chyna being in the rumble showed that Women could wrestle. I meant with Chyna wrestling Men & being in the Rumble , showed that Women wrestlers can do just as much as the men did , given the chance no matter shape , size or age….
@art1e
Really? Why don’t you then? (I’m not counting random indie wrestlers, obviously.) Chyna was NOT a strong worker, but she was a strong attraction. Men Chyna’s weight (180) currently in the WWE are Daniel Bryan(192), Evan Bourne(183) and Rey Mysterio(175). Guys her size just don’t make it in WWE unless they are very good. Someone like HBK was a “small guy,” but he’s taller and broader and heavier and stronger than Chyna, who was a “powerhouse” type. That’s the problem of inter-gender competition, everything gets skewed. Melissa and Del Rey (two of my favorites, two of the best) are about the size of Spike Dudley. (They are also much better workers than Chyna.. and Spike, but I don’t want to see if they are better bumpers than Spike.) Still, Chyna had her appeal and I would let her in.
Yeah, don’t really know how to take his comments. For me, Chyna is one of the wrestlers I’ll always remember. I don’t usually judge anyone based on wrestling skill simply, especially with the Divas because it’s just not that big a factor. If you get down to it, Sable wasn’t that great of a wrestler, Lita was sloppy as hell, Trish’s in ring skills are overrated (and I’m a big fan of hers, that was hard to type lol), Sunny never really wreslted, and Elizabeth was a valet. To bring up Chyna’s skills in the ring seems silly simply because regardless of how talented she was, she still made an impact in women’s wrestling and changed the game. She has the honor of being the only woman to hold the IC Championship and she was the first woman to wrestle in the Royal Rumble. There hasn’t been another Diva like Chyna since she left and I think she left a legacy and that she should be honored for that. More than likely though, politics will come into play and she’ll be skipped.
I completely DISAGREE with JR. Here’s why….
- Wrestling is based on ‘kayfabe’, Mae Young could win a world title if the writers wanted her too, the talent do as their told. Chyna wrestled men because thats what she was told to do, she did her job. Chyna’s wrestling ability was perfectly fine in my opinion. She went through tables, got hit with chairs, lifted men twice her size and went for 12-15 minute matches on PPV.
-If people like Pete Rose can be inducted into the Hall of fame for wearing a chicken suit, where does JR get off denying Chyna the right?.
-Chyna may have not been the greatest in ring technician….but she stood toe to toe with the men she wrestled and fared well. If JR has an issue with it being a ‘mismatch’ considering Chyna’s a female, how about Rey Mysterio wrestling the likes of Big Show? Why is that acceptable?
-Lasty Its WWE the E stands for entertainment, Chyna ENTERTAINED and was Entertaining in her role. To deny her accolades in wrestling is to deny any female that has stepped foot in a WWE ring equal recognition in effort, workrate and commitment to the business.
@drayme Chyna was at the Rock and Austin level her and Rock were neck in neck as far as mainstream exposure at the time are you serious? Anyone who speaks on her not being a good worker check youtube she has had classic matches with the top guys
@javiousmckenzie Dont be ridiculous. Exposure doesnt mean revenue either.
Well ill be honest i thought when i was a kid Chyna wrestling the guys was so cool! But yeah i got older i look back her matches on Youtube…sure she doesnt have to work as hard…and the guys really holding back on Chyna lol..man..ya its kind of a basketcase here. If you think about it the women of today have WAYYYY more discipline than back then. You really think Beth shoulnt be wrestling better opponents yet she wrestles Kelly Kelly with DELIGHT and gives it her all…and Kelly does too! And you get a great match out of it!! Chyna out of her mouth said she didnt wanna wrestle Sable or Debra..had no intrest in wrestling Women. Just a thought on how things were back then. I mean she is a legend and HOF Material one day no doubt
9th Wonder of the World Chyna for HOF!
well JR prospective on womans wrestling is very old school.. he wanted them to succeed but he thinks that they have their own place inside the ring and doesn’t belong to male league. whatever that is…
as for chyna. i thought its was cool that she can whoop a dudes ass but shes no SELL. she kinda makes her male opponent looks bad imo. just ask jeff jarret or ivory.
rodneyclint
then again you have to think other female talent on wwf during that time.. there was alundra blaze, bull nakano, aja kong, betha faye, luna, sherry martel, wendi ritcher, etc etc..
she made legacy for herself.. she really never cared about female wrestling. just watching her wrestling the other divas… she basically mocking on them..
Chyna seems like an insecure emotional wreck and I never cared for her attitude towards women’s wrestling. I understand why she has/had that view, because when you look at the girls she had to work with at first, there just wasn’t any real competition. But with that being said, she should’ve had an attitude to contribute to women’s wrestling and make it better, not look down on it like she’s better than them. Attitude is everything in life, and her’s seems pretty bad.
I hate how JR says in as many words that he doesn’t want her to be in the HoF, yet never directly says it.
Someone on his blog commented about this, to which JR replied:
“Chyna is as deserving of WWE HOF induction as any female or male for that matter in the eyes of many. I would have no issues w/ her being inducted.”
Once again dodging the question, because he personally doesn’t think she deserves to be in the HoF. He only says that other people think she should be inducted.
So essentially he just buried her again for no real reason. Everyone knows his thoughts on Chyna, yet he always has to remind us of them again to get a response. I would have no problem if he just outright said he doesn’t think she deserves to be in it.
But at the end of the day, we’re arguing about the worthless WWE HoF that really doesn’t count for anything in wrestling outside of the WWE Universe. I’m not a fan of Chyna, but she was internationally famous in her prime (on a similar level to any huge WWE star), and if Snooki is inducted before her it would be a travesty to women in wrestling.
Well this was to be expected!
Everytime Chyna would be in a match, most likely than not J.R would be quick to point out that he wasnt the biggest Chyna fan, but hed give her credit. J.R I think is just very old fashioned, maybe a little sexist, but thats his opinion. Again his comments were very expected, he said exactly what I thought he would have said.
However not even J.R can deny Chyna’s legendary accolades. No woman will ever do even half the stuff, she did. She was just epic! That match with Jericho at Armageddon was just brilliant, it was truly something special……and they really went at it. Jericho really hit Chyna hard in a few spots!
Bottom line is Chyna is in a league of her, shes one of a kind!! It might be another 100 years before the world sees something truly amazing as the beautiful 9th wonder of the world CHYNA!!!! Not everyone has to love her, but at the very least she demands respect, and J.R has really disappointed me. I would have thought that hed atleast try to be a bit more open minded. Such a shame!
I bet hes excited that Sunny got inducted. So he says that she shouldnt be in the HOF because he doesnt think she should have never been I.C champ, but he says Sunny does deserve because……..she did what she was told, and acted how a woman is espected to act in the wrestling industry. Hmmmmmmm………..wow………..so ground breaking! =/
Suck on it haters, Chyna will never erased from history. Her star burns way too bright!
CHYNA for U.S prez yall!!!
I also feel that J.R always tries to be politically correct for what is considered “correct” at that moment. Hes just another McMahon puppet, and thats fine J.R, do ur thing baby, but atleast say it straight out, dont sugar code ur comments, or make half honest half shady remarks!
Just cause the attention isnt on his precious Austin 3:16! I wonder if Austin thought Chyna was amazing, would J.R follow?!?!?!? Sounds like it!
No other woman has had the international fame, noteriety, acclaim, or success as Chyna. To me the biggest names in wrestling are Hogan, Austin, Flair, Taker, Mankind, Triple H, The Rock, and Chyna!!! Yes I truly believe she deserves, and earned to be a part of this elite category!!!
However I also agree with some of u guys, I dont really think Chyna did much for womens wrestling. I think she worked so hard for herself, not for womens wrestling, or any other reason other than herself!
So yes she destroyed barriers or restrictions people had for woman, she made history on many occasions, she reached goals that other woman only dreamed of, but she did it all for her, not women in general, and thats totally cool and original!
Who says u have to represent anyone other than urself?!?!
@Goodvibes i agree with everything you said..
also chyna was put into the womens division to give it more credit before she left thats why victoria/tara was hired because chyna wanted more women like herself to be in wwe…
also the men went soft on her?? when when test & albert big booted & splashed her? that wasnt soft at all…also chyna did work hard she military pressed guys above her head..her ring skills are what wwe wanted her to do & she did them well.
i will always RESPECT chyna for even getting in the ring with the guys since what she did was show the women of the world that they could do anything a man does & do it just as well…
chyna DESERVES in every sense of the word to be in the HOF..even if J.R doesnt think so or people here done think so.chyna did more then any woman in the business..
@art1e Read Jericho’s second book
When did anyone name Jerichos “personal” opinion as proof??
It was also very documented, that many guys, like jericho, couldnt stand the fact that Chyna was getting pushed. Just because shes a woman, Jarett didnt like it either, but atleast he respected her and gave her credit for being in there with the guys and not complaining about it.
I feel Chyna got a lot of backlash for being a woman, and competing against men because of all the traditionalist mentalities of not only the WWE staff but the fans as well. But if ur a woman, but u trained to compete against men, and ur built to compete against men, yet when she does……people start complaining.
Talent knows no gender, if youve got what it takes, who cares if ur a man or woman. I think her matches were not as fake as people like to think. In my eyes she was always very respectful of her male oponents. If u guys notice Chyna always acted like it was an up hill battle. She really sold being exhausted and not lasting as long as her oponent, but still pushing to overcome the odds. She did wonderful in my eyes.
Which also brings me to another point, rey vs the likes of kane, Big Show, Taker?!?! That is a bit more on the “fake” side if u ask me. yet its not as blown up because both oponents in the ring own a pair of cohones?!?!!? im sorry cause I like Rey but Chyna was much more well equiped to compete in the mens division. Sure he can fly, but can he do anything else?!?!? When did rey lift anyone up over his head?!
I mean its 2011 people, yall gotta get over certain things, be more open minded.
Every oponent Chyna faced was almost always bigger, stronger, and more experienced than her, but tell me………when was the last time anyone saw the underdog, the smaller oponent lift the “bigger/heavier” oponent over there head??
No one comes to mind as quick as Chyna does! Male or female thats pretty awesome in my book!
I do think that Chyna should be inducted in the HOF. Let’s not forget she did contribute a lot during her time and was a major WWE Player as were most of the females in the Attitude era.
Personally I would love to see Ivory and Jacquline in the hall of fame.
The question at hand is: Should Chyna be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame?
Yes.
Chyna, the Ninth Wonder of the World, blazed a trail in WWE and contrary to what some of you have said, I don’t think the trail she blazed was for women to carry the IC Championship or compete in the Royal Rumble. I will say Chyna’s biggest contribution came from changing the way a female competitor could look. Chyna showed that women could be tall and muscular – not the typical “type” of a WWE Diva. But she also showed that she could be sexy – and that’s what WWE Divas are all about (or it’s supposed to be), they’re to be Smart – Sexy – Powerful. Chyna embodied all three of those qualities and in doing so she paved the way for women like Beth Phoenix and Kong (I won’t add Natalya here because her spot in professional wrestling was always secure on namesake).
Since the time of Chyna, several women have carried and challenged for championships traditionally held by men. Jacqueline challenged and won the Cruiserweight Championship, Molly Holly and Trish Stratus challenged and held Hardcore Championships, Beth Phoenix challenged for the IC Championship, and LayCool and Kelly Kelly have been involved in a World Heavyweight Championship match (and I’m sure there are plenty I’m missing). A fact that is often overlooked is that Chyna, I do believe, is the only women to ever challenge for the WWE Championship.
Years ago it was rumored that Vince McMahon was wanting to crown a female WWE Champion. That day hasn’t come, but one day it might and that woman is going to be a true revolutionary for all of professional wrestling. In my opinion, Chyna was a good candidate, Trish would have been a more popular one – could you imagine a WWE Championship feud between Trish Stratus and Lita? The point is, there have been several women who have broken the mold in professional wrestling, but perhaps none moreso than Chyna.
When you look back at the prominent names of professional wrestling, there are standouts (as others have pointed out):
There are ‘The Icons’ (those who are internationally recognizable as pop culture)
Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, The Rock, Stone Cold, Chyna, Vince McMahon
There are ‘The Legends’ (those recognizable to/just beyond wrestling fans)
Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Trish Stratus, Lita, John Cena
The fact is, both in and out of the wrestling business Chyna is a recognizable woman, which in my opinion qualifies her as a trailblazer and a HOF contender.
And to the person who took issue with Chyna’s salary demands: In my opinion, if women like Chyna, Trish, Lita, Molly, Jazz, Beth, Natalya, Mickie, etc. can go out there every night and entertain just like the men then they deserve salaries equal to the men. If women like Christy Hemme or Ashley Massaro and waltz in to the WWE and “win” a $250,000 contract then a woman who works as a competitor, who travels, trains and suffers the same injuries and risks should be allowed to command $800,000.
@Freaky-Lucha-Doll “It was also very documented, that many guys, like jericho, couldnt stand the fact that Chyna was getting pushed. Just because shes a woman”
Are you for real? That wasnt even the main reason.
@Bobby-james ” I will say Chyna’s biggest contribution came from changing the way a female competitor could look. Chyna showed that women could be tall and muscular
”
And then the Wellness policy was introduced
“There are ‘The Icons’ (those who are internationally recognizable as pop culture)
Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, The Rock, Stone Cold, Chyna, Vince McMahon ”
It isnt 2000 anymore.
“If women like Christy Hemme or Ashley Massaro and waltz in to the WWE and “win” a $250,000 contract then a woman who works as a competitor, who travels, trains and suffers the same injuries and risks should be allowed to command $800,000.”
It was $250,000 over three years not a year.
