TNA Knockouts Champion, Mickie James, is heading to AAA in Mexico to be part of the company’s biggest event of the year, TripleMania.
The company announced via Twitter that James will be one of their special guests at the show.

Lots of good matchups for Mickie there. It seems this invasion will ally with Konnan, so Mickies opponent will probably be Faby Apache, i dont think they will put Sexy Starr or Jennifer against her.

This is part of a TNA invasion angle they’re running starting from their May 18th tapings, which will seemingly culminate at TripleMania XIX (June 18th).
No idea what ‘special guest’ is going to involve. I assume it should be a wrestling role. AAA were running a poll supposedly to decide which TNA Knockout would appear at TripleMania and Mickie won it over Velvet Sky.
Not really sure what the contractual arrangement actually is between the companies, I’m guessing AAA were given permission to use any one Knockout they wanted so the AAA fans wanted Mickie, but it seems to be a fairly loose relationship, so hopefully Velvet appears as well.
What would be really great also is if Sarita gets to go as well, because she’s very over in Mexico as Dark Angel. Although then you’ve her gimmicks colliding lol.
There’s a lot of very good matches that could be set up with the female AAA roster, so hopefully there’ll be a few before TripleMania. I’m probably being a little too optimistic though.

Sarita is still on the CMLL roster, so i dont see her working with AAA.

They must have worked something out, because Mickie was scheduled for a TNA house show in Buffalo the same day. It’ll be interesting how she’ll be portrayed, as storyline-wise the TNA people are working with a heel faction…

@darkangels: Amapola isnt the AAA champion, she works for CMLL ;-). Current champion in AAA is Mari Apache i think (havent watched AAA in 6 weeks)

Sarita worked a few CMLL shows past few weeks, and has some more scheduled in may. I think on average she does 4 CMLL shows per month, so she is probably under contract.

I can’t wait. I love to watch AAA. I don’t think Mickie will be winning any title of any sort. She’ll just have a few 3-4 matches and then be done with the company. Remember she’s a ‘guest’ not a full time performer something like Trish/WWE.

It’s only a temporary invasion, i don’t think they’ll have her win the title even though this whole invasion idea is beyond amazing! I have never been so excited for something like this since Kharma being signed by WWE. I hope this feud lasts for a little while and we have stars appearing on both TNA/AAA, would love to see Sexy Star and Jennifer Blake in the same ring with Tara and Sarita.

I love when wrestling companies work together and do things like this. Can’t wait to see her matches in AAA. I like the possibilities of TNA vs AAA. We are going to get some very cool matches from that.

My choice for Mickie to face would be Sexy Star. I know she’s heel, but the it being AAA vs TNA she’ll be seen as face. Sure, the logical choice would be Mary Apache, but she’s currently kafabe out with a broken leg from begin attacked by the heel referee and Sexy Star. If it isn’t Sexy Star it’ll most likely be Fabe Apache (Mary’s sister). Another interesting choice would be Shimmer star Jennifer Blake, who have been in AAA for the last year.
I just hope this isn’t a one time thing after Mickie appears at Triplemania when it comes to Diva Dirt reporting on AAA. Once everybody sees Mickie go all out (compared to being in TNA) against an AAA female wrestler I’m hoping users after seeing what they’ve been missing will demand Diva Dirt do more AAA and other lucha news and matches. The action will blow all you guys’ minds!
