After a week long tease over her announcement, Kharma finally dropped the bombshell live on Monday Night Raw: She’s pregnant.
In a rare moment, WWE allowed Kharma to bow out gracefully giving a very personal speech, as she said it had been her dream to wrestle in WWE, mentioning her initial rejection from WWE’s Jim Ross during Tough Enough 2 over 10 years ago, as well as discussing her body of work in Japan and on the independents.

Following an interruption by the Bella Twins, Kharma let it be known that she’ll be back in one year and hopes the Bella Twins will be still be here, indicating she’s set her sights on them.
Overall, it was a very classy moment from WWE.
Congratulations Kharma!

OMG, amazing segment. I feel for Kharma but I know she will be back and the hype is going to be crazy. Congratulations to her and thanks to WWE for leting her do somthing like this. They showed a lot of respect towards her.
happy that they didn’t make up a sucky storyline but i think wwe only went with the truth cause creatives culdnt think of anything…or they just respect and wish kharma the best..
i know DD fans will be ranting about another boring year for the divas.. hopefully not…
it does feel a bit soon to be announcing a pregnancy but it was a nice moment and it was great of wwe letting her break kayfabe like that. for now, vince and co. seem truly committed to kharma. congratulations to her.
I love and respect that woman more than any thing right now, and can’t wait till she comes back to competition. And I really can’t stand the bellas on the mic. They sound like 2 druken duchbags.
Kharma is so cute! Great seg. I felt it. Great pop too!
Did anyone else hear the ovation from the crowd for her?! She’s going to comeback to be a huge face. Have her feud with the Bellas then maybe another heel diva (please be Melina!) then turn her heel and face Natalya, Gail Kim and Beth. But now I’m thinking over a year ahead. Congrats to Kharma! :D
WWE has proved in the past to have little to no class with the exits of their female talents. Luckily for Kharma tonight they did something rare and showed class. Congrats to Kia and I hope for a healthy baby.

Agreed!
IMO the best Diva promo of all time, and one of the best of this year. They took a awkward situation and did the best they could do: face it head-on. Kharma’s delivery was sincere, carefully worded (SUPERSTAR, not Diva; a flipping WRESTLING MASTER), and heavy in the underlying message while still, somehow magically, evolving her character without weakening it.
As someone else said, she literally put the “baby” in babyface.
The Bellas were ‘whatever’ in their delivery, as usual, though the segment of them flinching and getting out of Kharma’s way was good.
i’m so sad that they had to totally reroute :( I was really looking forward to the storyline that was about to blossom
<3. An amazing show of felicity by WWE. Kharma handled her speech with great eloquence, and the denouement of the mystery that was Kharma's announcement has been solved. Although Kharma's time was ephemeral, It was great while it lasted. It's inexpressible how excited I was for Kharma to come to WWE, and while she's leaving early, and it leaves me bittersweet, I'm glad to know she'll be back. Congratulations to Kia Stevens, A child is a special type of gift that nothing can match. I am in ebullience for her return.
Very strong, and Classy of WWE, to give a girl that has only been appearing on there TV shows, for a month, the time and the moment to shine, and say what she had to say, and Kharma did amazing, cant wait to see you in one year :)
very very class of WWE, to keep Kharma for one year while she is gone and very of classy way of having her go
Kharma/Kong’s promo made me felt it was more of a ”Wrestling Shoot” like promo. She will be back..she alwayys will be back. Perhaps I see a new ”threat” for the Divas being signed in the meantime later on in the months but for now in the meantime the New Divas of FCW will be taking over
I thought it was a great segment. No BS. She’s pregnant. It is what it is.
What I especially liked was the ending bit. She WILL be back.
Congrats to Kia i agree with the comments above very classy by the E I just hope they don’t do a storyline involving the baby
The Bellas were not needed in that segment. They just killed the crowd completely.
Congrats to Kharma/Kia and well done on such a fantastic promo. Very classy on WWE’s part. She will be back and I look forward to seeing her kick ass in a year’s time.
1st of the segement was so good , very classy and she spoke so clear and engaging. During the promo I said “oh hell her character ruined now” but after it all I can actually see her coming back , and not under the monster heel gimmick , she can come back as another typical face and still show her dominance. Im just shocked they allow her to announce her pregnancy on t.v lol but none the less congrats to her
I disagree! Yes it was Classy 4 WWE 2 let Kharma make that personal announcement 2 the world& share a story. But WWE took it all away with having 2 get in the last Insult via the Bella Twins. Yes its Sports Entertainment but I thought it was uncalled 4 IMO!
Congrats Kia! Happy for her and the Bellas held their own…still wish it would’ve been a different heel(s) that are easier for fans to hate and even love to hate.
It was a great segment but it didnt surpise me that wwe had the bellas cum out 2 diss Kharma..but…it was sweeeeeeet 2 see Kharma…say she’ll be bak to handle business!!!
&& i loved tht da crowd was really appreciative of everything she was sayin…it was BEAUTIFUL ^____^
Are you kidding me? Seriously, will you people ever stop complaining? The Bella Twins’ involvement did not take away from it at all nor did it disrespect Kia’s exit. We hardly ever get to hear the women talk. Tonight, Kia cut the best promo we’ve heard from a female in a long time. However, this means nothing for the immediate future because Kia is leaving for at least 9 months! I’m glad WWE let two of their current divas speak right after because Brie & Nikki, unlike Kharma, will still be around. The Twins did a fine job, and maybe, just maybe the entire performance of all 3 women will earn the faith of Creative to book more diva segments (wrestling and promos alike). It’s a good thing!
The fact that WWE used Kia’s exit to put over two other divas shows more respect than making her exit mean nothing at all. This isn’t retirement. It’s a brief hiatus. It’s all about building momentum. Tonight was a hit in every way. Don’t disgrace it with petty complaints. Think before you bloviate.
This is truly a fairytale story. Kia has started from the bottom up, built a foundation, traveled the world, and made a name for herself. Now she’s in the big leagues, where not only diva fans are tuning in to see her, but wrestling fans in general. She is the epitome of the word “Superstar,” and the wrestling industry admires and respects her. Kia has some of the best, and most influential people in the business rooting for her (Stone Cold, Jim Ross, etc.) which can only help her cause.
Kia really put it into perspective: “I, like many other girls (and women), have always wanted to be a mother.” We have the privilege of watching these women wrestle for years (Tara), while perhaps putting their dreams of family on hold. We as fans do not always give these women enough credit for their sacrifices. I am happy for both Kharma, and Kia. Kharma, because she has finally reached superstardom. And Kia because both of her dreams are coming to fruition.
The First I Heard Her Speak, And This Was Amazing! I Can’t Wait Until She Returns, The Bella Twins On The Other Hand Are Not So Good On The Mic, But Once Kharma Comes Back Lets Hope She’ll Be The Champ!
SHIT JUST GOT REAL
The Bella Twins are freaking AWESOME and they totally made that segment!
Okay yes it was touching and moving, and I’m glad WWE let Kia take the opportunity to speak to the fans and explain the situation.
But I also liked that they also took the opportunity to put the Bella’s a little more over as bitchy heels, and giving Kharma a storyline to come back too!
Now I want The Bella’s to become really nasty heels, putting everyone down, but not in a childish Laycool way, but more in a really horrible twisted bitch way!!! XD
9 months is a long time. She could still keep the same gimmick when she returns. Undertaker as a face is still a destructive monster and so can Kharma. Besides, fans where cheering Kharma like they would a face anyways. They like Kharma as is.
This whole Kharma experience hopefully makes the WWE see that the fans do care about the divas if they are given interesting stuff to do. Tonight the fans where into the match and they where appreciative about what Kharma had to say. This was a great night for the divas.
I was at Raw and the pop that Kharma received was awesome! THe tag-team divas match also got pretty good reactions from the live crowd.
i cried
This was such an amazing moment! Kia really deserved to explain to everyone why she was leaving and confront the rumors on live television. She was so emotional, and I will miss her during her absence. I am glad that the Bellas finally got the promo they derserve. To bad it flopped though. Even worse then Kharma vs. Kelly, Kharma vs. The Bella Twins. Their gimmick, to me, are the more serious type of Laycool. Come on WWE you can come up with better heel divas. I would have liked them to at least let her and Kelly stare down. I mean they were feuding, and it would have been really cool for them to do that. Let them wish each other luck, shake hands, and meet eyes. Then again, Kharma is face now, i’m guessing. So I guess Kelly wouldn’t make sense. Anyone but Laycool 2.0, anyone. Oh well, at least Kharma got to leave in a respectable manor.
Well kharma isnt going to return…once the baby pops out she is going to have a strong connection plus the WWE schedule demands like 200+ days a year

Even if she doesn’t return for good, I expect her to make an appearance.
not to many female wrestlers out there can call themselve a wrestling master like Kharma said like she trained to be be in japan
congrats to kharma on her pregnancy, its every womans joy! she deserves it. but her being gone for a year seems like its just too long. and im glad wwe gave her a dignified send off. not the kind mccool or lita had. but i guess after that was unncessary, when the bellas came out and started calling her fat (taking things outta laycools book) but i didnt like that part.
but anyway good segment and kharma has a very nice voice
At least we get to look forward to a kick-ass return next year
I LOVED IT! :)
It was honest and very real cause everything she said was true!
Her japan time was hard but she got the recognition she deserved there and when she came back to the US she was already a star without even knowing it. ^_^
I loved her matches there in which she mostly competed against males no matter their size. She had even taken on 2 males alone and did greatly.
Not to mention the TNA time she had in which people loved her too.
Hellooooooo Jim Ross! Take that on your ignorant comment about her not being “Diva Material” cause size matters in the divas division aswell!
She was barely in wwe and had won tons of people over to tune in only to see her because they were excited to FINALLY see a different type of diva.
One with the heart, the passion, the skills and power!
All the best for Kia for a healthy baby! :)
May her third dream come true so she can scrub the ring with both bellas in the future, I know I would like to see that! ;)
As about the bellas segment, I found it uncalled for.
At least they could had picked a other wording instead of insulting her with the same thing she had to fight her whole life herself cause segment or not, things like that still hurt ones feelings.
Loved though how the immediately flinched. :)
Simply .. LOVED it!
See you in 1 year Kharma!
The Bellas didn’t ruin the segment? lmfao did you not hear the crowd go silent? It would have worked better if they had someone who is fantastic at playing a heel, like Melina. The Bellas sounded too much like bratty little girls and were awkward and unconvincing.

i agree, the bellas got zero heat, they could have done a lot with the way they were insulting khama but they couldn’t get fans to care.
laycool got more heat on the mic then they did their annoying talks. if they did this segment it would have been better.
btw the bellas are trying to be like laycool dontchu think? they just cant work the whole “childish bratty means girls” like laycool did
Kharma spoke from the heart in all this. And she seemed very comfortable on the mic. But leave it to those hussies the Bellas to turn it into something out of the Maury show!
Good luck to her on the baby. And memo to the Bellas, what would your mother think if someone did what you did to a pregnant woman like Kharma?
It was definitely very classy on the E’s part to allow Kia to address the crowd, and I hope they stay true to their word and she returns. I just hope the division just doesn’t languish waiting on her to cone back.
@BobAnthony If you’re serious about your comment then you’re forgetting the WWE is a scripted TV show. The Bellas are actresses, just like any actress on any TV show. Its silly to take what the Bellas said seriously. It would be similar to someone being offended over a fat person joke that was said on Seinfeld. Fat jokes pop up in all facets of entertainment. Violence, fat jokes, sex… pretty much every TV show/Movie has that. If the WWE where to removed that you’d end up with a Disney channel type show.
That line by the Bellas was effective. Finally people might start to hate the bellas.

They deserved a promo, it just failed. Sorry but they may need to go to Smackdown to actually generate heat.
What I *hope* will stem for this is not only increased effort and time put into the women’s division, but also a different attitude on WWE’s part with regards to how they view their female competitors. The fact that Kharma got such a big reaction and great response for telling it like it is and embracing the fact that she doesn’t fit the mould kind of says it all IMO. WWE have wasted so much time trying to create this perfect ‘Diva’ prototype when in fact the truth is that the fans want women with unique personalities and looks.
It might be a bit much to ask for, but my hope is that the success of Kharma will encourage management to embrace the wealth of talent both in the company and beyond.
I really liked this promo, and it’s amazing that such an awesome wrestler like Kia Stevens, can deliver such a strong promo on the mic, on live TV in front of millions of people under very stressful and emotional conditions, when her mic skills are her least known and least exercised in recent times.
She stepped up and delivered like a true professional, and did everything she needed to do to make the promo work. It’s a true testament to the immense talent that she has, and I’m very pleased that WWE see this in her, and have given her this huge vote of confidence with the opportunity to speak honestly and openly to the audience as her own person.
I’m astonished that Kia was allowed to talk about ‘wrestling dojos’ and becoming a ‘wrestling master’, and being in ‘wrestling promotions’, and while the overall effect of that in WWE might be limited, she certainly put over the women’s division of WWE as a legitimate place for women’s wrestling, as she is a legitimate women’s wrestler.
Her talking about living out her dreams was truly inspirational, and I hope that she is able to continue doing it. Often people overlook the fact that male wrestlers are able to start families while still being able to work, while female wrestlers cannot. This perhaps set the standard for how pregnancies should be treated, not only in wrestling, but in any profession. That at least is my hope.
I, like many others, cannot wait for her return in whatever fashion. But if this is in fact the last time we ever see Kia as a performer, then I’m happy for everything that she has accomplished in her amazing, awesome career!
I’m glad I’m not the only one who loved Kharma’s segment on RAW. It was a classy way to write her off. Only negative thing I would say is that any reputation for being a strong, emotionless woman she used in past wrestling promotions (TNA and Japan) has been destroyed.
And the Bella’s name calling was classless and disappointing. Fat jokes are the cheapest and least interesting way to get through a promo.
Gosh, the Bella Twins were horrible, I mean HORRIBLE. They totally ruined it. They sounded like they were literally reading children a bedtime story.
BTW, did diva dirt miss the match between even/kelly kelly VS the bella twins? O_o
They got almost 4 minutes to wrestle and it was a quite good match.
Really hope Smackdown will follow and give the girls there more time aswell.

Aren’t most diva matches from this year ^_^
Once that baby comes out, she’s going to have strong connection with it, and I don’t think she’ll be able to handle 300 days on the road. It’s just not realistic for a mother to leave her new born baby like that
sure now she’s saying that she will be back, but once she holds that baby in her arms, her life will change forever and she’s not going to want to be away from it
Look at michelle from tough enough, she gave up the competition because she missed her daughter so much, thats how much a child means to a mother
hope kharma has a beautiful baby
Congratulations to Kharma.
