This week’s episode of SmackDown brought us a rematch of sorts from last week. The ChickBusters (Kaitlyn and AJ), with Natalya at their side, took on Team Heel featuring Alicia Fox and Tamina. The most notable difference this week is that the heels countered Natalya’s presence by adding the rarely seen Rosa Mendes to ringside (I guess she is heel again). Will Rosa’s presence bring anything to the match? Will AJ and Kaitlyn pull out the victory this week? Will Alicia continue to just be the fiercest Diva ever? Lets stop wasting time and find out.
When SmackDown returns from what I can only assume has been a commercial break, A-Fox’s music is playing in the background and the so-called bad girls of SmackDown are posing in the ring. It’s only a few seconds later that Alicia’s theme fades and Natalya’s begins to blare across the PA system. Dressed in the most gorgeous sequined mini I’ve ever seen on SmackDown, Nattie leads her rookies out onto the stage. Kaitlyn and AJ look ready for battle and they all head to the ring. Much like last week, a backstage video begins playing while this is going on.
Natalya, Kaitlyn, and AJ are in their lockerroom and Kaitlyn says that last week herself and AJ were just warming up. AJ whole-heartidly agrees with this and says that tonight they were going to make Natalya incredibly proud. Nattie appreciates their attitude and says that the two girls have her support. Kaitlyn asks her if she has any last words of Diva wisdom, and she smiles and tells them both not to lose.
Good talk!
Once the bell rings, Kaitlyn and Tamina get set to kick things off. Tamina shoves the NXT winner a couple of times before Kaitlyn finally womans up and shoves her back. Tamina gets a bit miffed at Kaitlyn’s gall and she kicks her in the gut before jerking her down by the hair. Kaitlyn rolls around in pain and Tamina seizes the chance to pick her opponent up and throw her into the corner, and tries to follow it up with a huge splash. Kaitlyn is able to move out of the way and Tamina smashes into the turnbuckle much to the shock of the crowd. When Tamina staggers back, a crouching Kaitlyn headbutts her in the abdomen and rolls her up for a quick pin.
Tamina powers out.
Both girls get to their feet and Tamina lumbers over to her corner and makes the tag to Alicia. Foxy lunges for Kaitlyn, but the blond ducks and Alicia goes down. Kaitlyn gets the tag to AJ and feisty little rookie comes in, ready to go on offense. She nails Alicia pretty convincingly and takes her down with a nice little headscissors. She goes for Alicia again, but the former champ manages to get her knee into AJ’s stomach. That shifts the momentum and Alicia nails the smaller girl with a convincing right hand. She picks her up by the hair, drags her to the corner, and tags Tamina back in.
She comes in and kicks AJ, then picks her up and throws her to the middle of the ring. She jerks the new Diva up and holds her while AJ tries to throw punches to fight off Tamina. This amuses the daughter of Jimmy Super Fly Snuka and she lifts AJ high in the air. AJ is nearly broken in half as Tamina plants her into the mat and just to add insult to injury, Tamina runs and knocks Kaitlyn from the apron. The distraction allows AJ to get to her feet and she manages to duck a wild swing from Tamina. She takes her momentum to the ropes, bounces off of them, and leaps at Tamina. The stronger Diva catches AJ, throws her on her back, and falls back. AJ is crushed from the high impact move and Tamina picks up a very convincing one… two… three!
For the second week in a row, the heel Divas win.
MUCH better match than last week. Tamina looked so, so solid. You know, I have no idea where they are going with this whole coaching thing, but wouldn’t it be fun if it lead to Natalya getting pissed off that AJ and Kaitlyn just can’t win, and she wound up in a feud with them? The idea of Natalya versus AJ makes me positively salivate. What beautiful matches they could have. I wouldn’t even mind seeinf Natalya versus Kaitlyn, to be honest. The best way for Kaitlyn to continue to improve in the ring is to work with girls who know what they’re doing. Natalya is one of the very best in the WWE, male or female, and I actually credit her for helping Layla become the Diva she is right now (get well soon, girl). If I got to decide what happens next, I would have a six-Diva tag match next week with the faces losing again. That would lead to Natalya kind of scolding AJ and Kaitlyn at the end, and set Nattie up for a singles match the following week against Alicia. Natalya could pick up the win over Alicia and show the girls how winning is done and next week both Kaitlyn and AJ could have singles matches against Tamina and Rosa. I’m pretty sure you can figure out what will happen, and I don’t want to get to far into this. The use of all SmackDown Divas gets a big thumbs up this week.
And Tamina’s performance definitely gets two thumbs!
Well done to the ladies of SmackDown. Can’t wait to see what happens next week.
PS… how hot is Christian as a heel? Like always, until next week… Cryssi out!

but, the match was twice as better as last week, and Tamina was simply awesome, i loved her :), and AJ was also very good, and dare i say Kate actually looked alright in the ring for once, very well done on her part
Next week i think Tamina, Rosa, Alicia vs Aj, Kate, Nattie, and also i like the storyline as Nattie as the mentor to the two rookie, and how they play the dumb role

i honestly dont see “Vince’s Devils” when i look at Tamina, Alicia and Rosa, they dont have that catty chemistry mean girls style like Victoria Candice and Torrie did. To be honest i dont think WWE will ever be able to recoperate that again when it comes to the divas but i see what your saying.

I agree they are no Candice, Victoria, and Torrie, but I also see exactly what you are talking about. I must say that Rosa’s dark hair is way more natural looking and brings out her natural pretty darker features.

Not bad. Very smart to use Kaitlyn and Tamina in tag team matches right now. It allows them ring time while not putting too much pressure on them.

I was looking forward to the review and it was worth it! I enjoyed the segment but didn’t find the match as better than last week. Tamina was impressive but this week lacked the aggression unlike last week. WWE crammed a lot into this segment with the promo but what’s up with these random heel turns. There needs to be some explanation or segment with the heels talking next week, in order for me to care about these characters. But i like the coaching side of it, just want to understand the heels character’s because i have no reason not to hate them.

Its probably because smackdown is taped , and most people watch the match online before SD airs , so the post woudnt be that Fun or Alive considering most of us already seen the match already. LOL So the redux is like our Smackdown Post.

Im have to appluad Tamina ! She did AWESOME! Im kinda fan of Tamina so it was nice to see her so SOLID in this match. Tamina did the best in this match , followed by A.J.
I like where this coaching thing is going too , I think next week it should be Natalya vs Kaitlyn or A.j ( Okay …well only AJ) it could be like a training match. I dont think Natalya will get frustrated with them and turn heel. I can see A.j or Kaitlyn pinning Rosa or Tamina next week , but I could be wrong but I would like next to see Aj get her 1st win.
BTW wth was Kaitlyn doing LOL Out of the whole match I cant remember one thing she did. Oh gosh replace her with Naomi. Set up a storyline where Kaitlyn took a wrong turn and ended up some where and wont be on SD or the next couple of months…

I dont think the known and obvious chemistry between Aj & Kaitlyn should be discarded soo easily. Esp not for someone soo style and persona lacking like Naomi and esp with “The Chickbusters” contrasting styles of power and speed. Heck, I see a tandem doomsday device style move in their future.
gottta make these fan hopes feasible if not, then enjoy WWE 2012 on xbox :)

Solid showing, Tamina really impressed with the moves she performed. One of the most vicious samoan drops I’ve ever seen. So Rosa’s a heel again? At least we saw all the divas of smackdown on tonight, i’m actually hoping we get an Alicia/Natalya feud. Alicia just needs to get some more wins, after being buried on raw basically. On a side note Fox’s attire was horrid, even though the story behind it was nice lol :) and even though tamina impressed I still think if she’s put in a singles match her green-ness will be shown (singles match longer than 2 minutes)

a bit low and not penetrating enough on the school-girl rollup by Kaitlyn. It’ll be interesting to see if she’ll do that S-drop to anyone of size. It woulda been better if the bodyslam to AJ was booked as a no-assist slam like Kaitlyn’s done to Rosa in FCW.

I’m not sure if I like Team Fox or Team Natalya more.. at the very least it seems like they’re trying to invest in the Smackdown Divas and giving them promos, however short. I wish the promos would be before the match and not while Team Natalya enters, but hey I’m not complaining. I’m just glad they have them.

It was a really good match for how long it lasted. Its nice to see Tamina showing what she has to offer and yea nxt week i defiently see Nattie, AJ and Kaitlyn vs Alicia, Tamina and Rosa. But i think it would be intersting if Nattie’s team lose and she gets fed up with “KJ” (sorry i just dont feel like saying their names repeatedly lol) and joining the heels so the following week “KJ” are like backstage in the Divas lockeroom when the Smackdown Diva Heels start harrasing them when a catfight breaks out and just when you think the Heels are winning Maxine and Naomi come out of nowhere and help so its the NXT3 Girls against the Smackdown Heels. And i guess it could lead to the NXT3 Divas against the Smackdown Heel Divas at Capital Punishment!!! well atleast in my dreamz lol :D

Well… even I love the fact that they are finally using Tamina, Kaitlyn, AJ and even Rosa more now, I hate the other fact that Kaitlyn and AJ are not allowed to pull out their real movesets and are stucked mostly on brawling with 1-2 other moves(like Kaitlyns headbutt to the stomach and AJs headscissors), so they can show that they are Natties “rookies”.
If you watch the moves these both have pulled in fcw(even Rosa partially), you will see that they are capable of much more and partially are even better than a few other long term divas on the wwe roster.
I really hope they are going somewhere with this feud and I wouldn’t mind a great six divas tag next week with the faces winning. ^_^
Having Rosa on the heels side shows exactly that after all cause if you watch her previous wwe matches in the past, they mostly let her be a part of tags only so she can get pinned(sad but true -.- ).
I also don’t mind her heel turn since in fcw she was still a heel when they showed her as a face with hornswaggle on wwe.
No hair accidents in the match this week but the agression wasn’t there either. Let’s hope next week will be even better cause Smackdown diva matches started to get better again. :)
Also like that they are giving the divas segments again so a storyline can be explained. However, Nattie saying “don’t lose” as a wisdom was kinda “meh” in my opinion. If she would say “do your best, be strong” instead, it would had more impact and put her over more in my opinion.

I favor 4 of the 6 girls on Smackdown. I really want to see a singles match between Tamina and AJ since they both need the momentum with Tamina getting the pin. I think AJ should have her first win against Rosa. Still, i think next week we get a 6 Diva tag match.
I’m guessing WWE didn’t play Tamina’s theme song when she got the pin because now that she is once again a dominant-like heel she’ll get a better and more suited theme for her.
Kaitlyn & Rosa should be the managers for their possibly new ‘stables’ and let the real girls get the job done.

Kaitlyn just took a hair pull slam and was then hard Irish-whipped to the turnb. Tamina’s cornersplash wasnt started yet due to Kaitlyn continuing to sell the head/neck (also looking down) It was momentary at longest. Its not as if Tamina had to studder step either, so one can’t assume a quick followup cornersplash was planned. Tamina even smiled at her work as she momentarily waited for Kaitlyn to look up, THEN continued onto Kaitlyn’s evasion, which was last min and quick.

Smackdown feels fresh but also need to rebuild after losing LayCool and there doing good.. I think if you give them some mic time and a few backstage segments then it would be great for this angle . Because the only two divas we actually know are Natayla & Alicia. We have seen very little of Tamina, Rosa, AJ or Kaitlyn.

IDK where all of the botches that were reported were seriously! It was a good match IMO and it served as a good way to showcase Tamina. While I dont like the whole “Rookie” gimmick i think its a good way to cover Kaitlyn’s shortcomings.
BTW, I HATED all of the Divas Ring Gear. All of them were HORRID!!! But Alicias was definitely the worst BY FAR! I mean WHY? Alicia, we’ve seen you do way better and you pull this out? The pink was flat, there wasnt any other color to contrast it, the skirt was flat with no volume and it was lifeless. Im shaking my head so much right now that my neck is sore…

I Agree with the outfits, AJ’s was to plain (however i like the boots), Alicia fox was just horrid. Tamina was ok but she does need to invest on some better ring gear, and Kaitlyns was simple but boring in my opinion, also i hated Natalyas dress but i loved wat Rosa was wearing

You are right about Alicias “pink panther” outfit and Natalyas dress was kinda hmmm simple?
However, I loved Alicias and Rosas attitude. “Common Tamina, gimme some, gimme some(Alicia)”. :p

Alicia Fox wore the pink to make a ‘statement’ that Natayla does not own the colour pink, Alicia Fox thinks she looks better in pink. The commentators announced this during the match. I agree that it was terrible but thats the reason she was wearing it.

If that was the case then she failed miserably. Her attempt to make the color pink her own was worse than when Jillian tried to pull the Twin Magic a while back.
Loved AJ’s boots but arent they just Chucks? If shes a wrestler than she needs to wear WRESTLING BOOTS! People knock K2 when she doesnt wear boots so why is AJ any different? Dont get me wrong, I adore AJ (kelly not so much) but she has done better in FCW. Natalya’s dress was nice. Its good to see her wear something besides pink and black. About Tamina, she can wear that again when she can lift her arms in the air not have a gut going on.

I actually found Jillian trying to pull the twin magic with Maryse vs the bellas hilarious back then cause she played it perfectly. I know I really laughed about it and it was one of her best and most hilariours moments in the wwe. :)
Too bad that she overdone it with her “singing” gimmick and that after a while she stopped pulling her real wrestling through cause in her beginnings she was one of the best and solid Divas in the ring wwe had at that time.
