Sigh.
Well, this week’s Redux is going to be short, sweet, and to the point. Even I can’t work magic from a 45 second encounter. For some ungodly reason, the WWE decided to throw all the Divas onto the show and we got a ridiculous seven Diva tag match. All I can say is thank you Jesus that there was no crappy chorus line at the end.
The match itself followed the typical big Diva tag match formula. The heels take on the faces. Rosa Mendes ends up losing. This time it was Beth Phoenix who took the victory. Kind of interesting seeing as how the Divas Champion, Kelly Kelly, was in the background. But trust me when I say that’s about the only thing that was interesting about this debacle.
Oh, and the Glamazon’s lipstick choice.
The face team consisted of Kelly and Beth, as well as AJ, Kaitlyn, Natalya, Eve Torres, and Gail Kim. The heel team is Brie and Nikki Bella, Melina, Maryse, Tamina, Alicia Fox, and Rosa. Each team makes their entrance. And once the shenanigans are over, Rosa and Beth start things off because all the heel Divas drop to the outside leaving Rosa alone with the Glamazon.
They begin in grand fashion. Beth takes Miss Mendes down with a series of clotheslines, and when she goes to slam her down, Rosa just kind of falls down. It’s sloppy and yes, it’s a botch. Thankfully Beth recovers it for both of them, scoops up Rosa, bounces her off the ropes, and slams her to the mat. She goes for the cover but the Bellas come into the ring to break things up.
This prompts all the Divas to get involved. There ends up being a brawl on the outside. Beth and Rosa remain in the ring and after a second or two, Beth makes Rosa eat a Glam Slam. The faces win the match. The heels lose. And while the faces celebrate, Kelly calls for the title and holds it up. Right where Beth can see it. Hmmm.
Do I even want to give my opinion on this? What can I really say? It was completely pointless to have the SmackDown Divas on Raw tonight in a tag team match. Just because you bring them to the show doesn’t mean you have to throw them into a match, especially a tag match like this. If you truly want to have the SmackDown girls on the show, have a battle royal to determine a new number one contender. Brie lost her rematch so it’s time to move on. Tonight was a pointless waste of time in my precious, most humble opinion. I could have done without that. I’m currently trying to squash all negativity from my life and tonight’s Diva offering didn’t help me.
The only thing I can take away from tonight is the mini-staredown between Beth and Kelly at the end. Kelly was holding the title and Beth was staring, and they locked eyes. It could be leading up to a potential feud. But you know, Alicia and Kelly also had a staredown so who knows? Hell, I’d take a triple threat. Just do something. No more 45 second, cluster-you-know-what tag team match. These girls deserve way better than that and so do the fans.

Maybe Beth wasn’t on RAW often because of her connection to CM Punk? I’m not saying that’s the exact reason, but it was thought I had.
The match seemed like Creative had a meeting and said “hmm, what to do with the Divas? Let’s just throw them into a tag match that lasts for 1 minute.” I was so upset, it was like blink and you missed the Divas smh.

Cryssi you are so right WWE divas deserve so much better than this crap. Beth being on tv wrestling and the bella’s hot green outfits were it nothing more. WWE should be ashamed for the way they treat the divas each week. WWE needs Allison Danger to run it because thats the only way its gonna change for the divas and for us fans who love them

I think this was the lowest ebb for the divas in 15 years.
The WWE flew Tamina and Gail etc across the country, just so they could walk down the ring and stand there for 30 seconds. If you can’t use them you’re better off releasing some of them.
On the above 3 and a half minute clip, half of it is taken up just by the ring entrances.
The best part of this segment was the clown watching at ringside, clapping enthusiastically. Anyone else notice?

i’ve not watched any raw diva segments for close to two months now (i decided if i don’t enjoy it, why bother?) and it’s a shame to see that nothing has really changed at all.. go back even two, three years and it’s the same as usual :( so disappointing.

This was bad -,- But the positive is that all the divas looked sexy ! Oh man I hope the divas division gets itself back up again now that triple H is running the company (if its not just a storyline) ,but I doubt it .

no comment, i am just so dissapointed the divas were on such a high at the end of last year and beginning of this year and then with Kharma coming in, and now this is all that shows,
i have said it before and will say it again WWE has 4 dead weight divas on there roster and they are Kelly, Bella Twins and Rosa, if they would get rid of just them four then i think we could see better things

I also hope that Triple H is one of those people that have noticed how the Divas division looks and try to DO SOMETHING about it. That was my thought when I heard the news that he can help the WWE change a little bit not like it was in the Attitude Era but just change it where its not too PG.

I hate to say it, but it was obvious that this match screamed ‘everyone at the arena, we’re on intermission for the WWE Championship tournament, for those who need to go to the toilet, go now.’ Which again, sad.
Looks like mainstream womens wrestling will still be a lost art for the time being. I’m counting down the days until the yellow lanturn in Kharma makes her return. (Reference from the WWE.com Green Lanturn feature awhile back.

For me Raw was kinda hectic last night. The ending was just wow haha. I wonder where they’re going with that.
Diva-wise that might as well have been a lumberjack or jill match with Beth vs Rosa or a battle royal. Can somebody please tell me why Jerry called Rosa, Melina? I was confused…was there supposed to be a staredown. If that’s what they were going for the cameras were so off.

There are two Melinas,one was on Tough Enough that who is iwth JoMo,the other one was on Diva Search who has change to her name to Rosa Mendes to not be confuse with Melina,just like when Stone Cold has first started off that he has to change his name to Steve Austin like the character from the hit show in the 70′s.

There are no positives to this crap.
No, it is not a positive that Beth was finally back on Raw with a victory.
No, it is not a positive that any girl in particular looked “pretty” or “sexy” or had a new outfit.
No, it is not a positive that there MIGHT be seeds of a Beth/Kelly (probably more) feud.
Does anyone who tries to see the positives (Lord knows I’ve tried repeatedly), including WWE and the women in the match, see what the message last night was? On the highly anticipated Raw following a highly-anticipated PPV, where people were sure to be tuning in to see what was going to happen to Vince, Cena, Punk, the title, and the company, the WWE saw fit to throw in a 7v7 tag Diva cluster”screw” that lasted less than 45 seconds.
This is less (or is it more?) than “WWE doesn’t care about the Divas.” They made a complete joke of the division the likes of which have not been seen since NXT Season 3. The difference between NXT3 and last night is that NXT3 was funny and had AJ vs. Naomi.
It is one thing to think “Oh, there’s some massive main event storyline going on, there’s no time to dwell on lower-midcard stuff.” They could’ve done a simple tag with a respectable short time (is there such a thing?) that could’ve done a better job at showing who was next after the Bella.
They could’ve just forgone the Divas for the night altogether rand saved everyone the embarrassment.
This was an insult to the Diva fans, the people who don’t care about the Divas, the talented women in the match, the not-so-talented women in the match, and, heck, it made WWE look bad itself.
If anything does “change” now that Triple H is in charge, it probably won’t affect the Divas. Expect more of the same crap from a company who sees fit to punish the people who foolishly decide to care.

Ouch…how negative haha but still somewhat true. Although you are forgetting that the rest of the midcarders were left off. I didn’t even expect a match. They were trying to sell the whole WWE Championship tournament. I didn’t think there would be enough time…well there wasn’t lol. I don’t know if they should’ve been left off. I feel like people would still complain.

It was so blatantly obvious that WWE held this match only so the audience could have a little more time to take a piss and/or got get something to eat. Oh well, maybe we’ll get lucky and WWE will expand on he post-match and give Beth a push.

Also, on a non-Divas related note, what the fuck was the point of the whole championship tournament? If Vince has been ousted from WWE, than was all of this week’s RAW for nothing? Cena hasn’t been fired, and Punk is kind of still technically the champ (didn’t he promise to take the belt?). Plus, if Vince is so “unstable, then it wouldn’t make sense to honor the tournament he set up. Neither Rey not Miz are really over enough to be the champ, and Del Rio having the MitB briefcase could render all of this moot even if they do go through with it.
DAMMIT WWE, NOTHING YOU ARE DOING MAKES ANY SENSE RIGHT NOW.

Just because Vince isn’t in charge doesn’t mean Triple H can’t keep his decisions, unstable or otherwise. The finals of the WWE Champ tourney will continue with Mysterio vs. Rey next week.
In kayfabe, at least, Punk does have the belt. He’s been posting pics on Twitter and its turned up on TMZ. The question is, what does WWE plant o do about it? use a replica? Commission a new belt? Continue to ignore Punk? These are fine questions to have to keep people tuning in.

You know we could get all xcited about Kelly & Beth possibly fueding , which woudnt be a mad idea. We can also get all xcited about Alicia & Kelly Kelly fueding , not a bad idea either. Needless to say I got xcited about that .Or we can all sit back and remember all the previous altercations between the divas where we thought one was going to go heel or face. , or someone was going to fued. But then if we do get the slightest bit of hope we would be right back were we started in the raw redux and Post Raw show , complaining on how boring Alicia & Kelly’s or Beth & Kelly fueds are… then we will get another Hint , and continue to repeat the same cycle…

rosa slipped & beth should have just thrown her down…mix up but it happens…awkward but i loved beths clothesline on rosa we’d never see maryse or kelly take it like that…
rosa sold beths glam slam better than maryse did on superstars..alicia looked lost running around on the outside she went to attack melina than run over at kaitlyn LOL….Alicias outfit was hot thou…
kelly & maryse hugging each other on the outside not knowing what to do was priceless….

Actually if you check it again, you can see the Rosa slightly jumps so Beth can pick her up easier(which they normally do so the opponent doesnt have to pick them with their whole weight) but Beth almost spears her after she grabs her so Rosa falls back. Beth even hit Rosa in her “mumu”(between the legs ;p) through the botch. ^_^

What I meant was that Beth didn’t go for a atomic drop because if that would had been the case, she would had picked rosa by both legs.
Instead she grabbed Rosa with one arm behind her back and hit her with the other between the legs when she slipped before she touched the floor.
If you stop the video between 2:11 and 2:13 you can clearly see that Beth almost spears Rosa and makes her fall wrong on her feet and afterwards on her back because she couldn’t pick her up as intented and lost her stance.
The commentators even indicate that she was going for a suplex but after what happened they said Rosa blocked the move so they can slightly cover Beths botch. :p
Unfortunately it was kinda expected that there will be a botch in a rushed 45 seconds match no matter who was in the ring. :/
However, I think we should be fair and see exactly what happened there cause some people (not you) always blame Rosa even when she is not in the ring(She was in the building! It’s her botch!). -.-

The whole point of the match was to build Beth up because she’s turning heel, thats why they had her work the whole match.

it was bad! im so sick of this, i cant believe this is what the divas division has come to. two years ago we had laycool/mickie storyline, we had laycool/glamahart storyline, we had michelle mcool/melina, michelle/mickie, layla/michelle, laycool/beth phoenix storylines and now after all that we get this! where is that booking we had two years ago? where are the storylines? even tho theres no laycool or mickie, im sure those same writers could come up with something!!!
it seems as tho wwe have no idea what to do, ever since laycool left and kharma. wwe sux! now that HHH is supposingly running things, i hope he does something good for the divas.
