TNA has crowned its first ever British Knockouts Champion in Winter.
The former Katie Lea defeated Mickie James to become the Knockouts Champion after a match filled with shenanigans from Winter and her cohort, Angelina Love.
Several times, Angelina attempted to interfere in the match and cost Mickie the win. Against all odds, Mickie perservered and seemingly had the match won after hitting a Tornado DDT on Winter from the corner and taking out Angelina.

However, she couldn’t foresee that the mystical Knockout Winter would spit some sort of red mist in her face ‘blinding’ her to steal the win.
After the match, an emotional Winter celebrated as Mickie writhed in pain, needing medical assistance.
Thoughts: This was another good Knockouts match tonight and the outcome is almost like a fairytale ending for Winter. Never getting the break she deserved in WWE, Winter came to TNA and rose to the top of the division and is now the Knockouts Champion. Not to mention, she makes history as the first ever British Knockouts Champion. After a rocky road, Winter gets her much deserved title reign. Congratulations to her!
Earlier this week, Winter was also crowned the new WILD Champion thus becoming a double-champion in the span of four days.

HATED that finish. Don’t get me wrong, Mickie sold it like it was acid in her eyes or something but Winter should have at least hit her finisher. That ending ruined that match for me

Great PPV. Very predictable though, I knew the winners before the match. But at least they get more then 1 minute. Congrats to Winter especially :D

Two great matches! It hurts to see Mickie lose her title, but if its to Winter, im glad! I just hope its not another Madison/Angelina thing where Madison got her title back because there was no proof that Lacey or Velvet was the MBC. And I don’t want to see Winter lose the title so soon. The win did seem under-hyped to me. Wasn’t so shocking, like Tara’s win at BFG or something.
And was it just me or did Winter spit blood in her face!

I was saying if Mickie did something like ….. “She cheated! She spit ___ in my face!” Then Earl Hebners reverses his descison and Winter will be forced to give the titlle back to her. Like Angelina and Madison… Okay?

the angelina/madison match had a stipulation added that if lacey or velvet interfer, then angelina becomes champ
this winter/mickie match had NO stipulations, it was just one on one, meaning if you cheat and don’t get caught, then it’s fair game

honestly, i think it’s too soon. i would’ve preferred they held it off for another month, but hey i’m a fan of winter, so no biggie, i guess?
the ending was dodgy.. as someone above suggested it would’ve been better if she hit her finisher after the mist but the ending does set-up a way to prolong this feud. it’s only a matter of time until velvet chases the title and her and angelina reunite.. please!

She’s German-born, but she was raised in Britain and has British citizenship, therefore she is British. I never said she’s the first British-born champion. I guess you could say she’s also the first German Knockouts Champion.

Mickie’s reign as champion was boring not decent or great but just boring. Madison had a great run as champion so did Kong, Angelina and Gail. I’m so happy for Winter, she finally wins a mainstream title not including the tag titles.

It’s a bitter sweet call for me, hate that Mickie lost and I hate the way she lost but I’m glad Winter win the Knockouts title for the first time:-) glad she’s gettin the push she deserves!

I’m hoping that TNA doesn’t keep tossing the title around so much, it seems they do it too often and it’s usually got some build up but it’s not enough for me or something. They do a lot better job than the WWE though.
Good luck to Winter, she should’ve been given this opportunity for the Women’s Title, but glad to see she is a champion finally.

By tossing it around I mean, everytime someone debuts, they win it fairly soon after. Winter is one of the exceptions though, Tara & Mickie were the champs almost asap.
