Like a good mama bear protecting her cubs, the Bella Twins’ mom Kathy Colace has weighed in on the storm surrounding the article posted on WWE.com earlier today.
On her Twitter page, Kathy wrote:
@thebellatwins @RealKellyKelly @EveMarieTorres How embarrassing that WWE allows one of their own writers dis a division they have built.
Meanwhile, the twins’ brother JJ Garcia, also wrote on his Twitter page:
#BellaArmy WWE is hating on the @thebellatwins when they are the most athletic and beautiful divas let @WWE know what you think #BellaArmy
Tweeting the author of the article, WWE.com’s Katie Raymond, he added:
how do you even have a job under minding the diva division.Who talks shit on there own company Pretty pathetic for your company
Thoughts: Normally, I would agree that WWE is undermining/dissing its own division, but I feel the WWE.com article (perhaps not some of the Twitter responses from the Divas) was to push the storyline. Most of the articles on WWE.com continue storylines. Besides, I think WWE has done worse to diss the division they’ve built i.e. having Michael Cole interrupt matches.
And let’s not lose sight of the fact that the article did clearly state that the Divas division does not need saving.

theres 2 versions of womens wrestlers u find televised today…
on one side u have women like tara, mickie james, sara del ray, gail kim, odb, lita and sarah stock
On the other side u have the bellas, kelly kelly, kaitlyn, layla, stacy keibler and torrie wilson
wwe doesnt see womens wrestling the same way they did in the 80′s and prior. they want gorgeous women who pretend to fight. theres women like michelle mccool, trish stratus and brooke adams who chose to work hard and become wrestlers but u can never confuse any of them with the women wrestlers u see in the indies, mexico and japan

No offense and disrespect to the Bella Twins’ mom and brother but it’s just that this is an issue that has been going on since November 2004 and when Trish Stratus and Lita left WWE. It’s nice to see that they are defending the girls but they probably did not know what WWE was until the Bella Twins were signed back in August 2007

The article is obviously about pushing the currently DOD Vs Models storyline, which makes this exciting! Where is this all going? The Bella Mom is hot, could she make an appearance? We’ve seen her at ringside a few times, could she get up, walk into the ring and defend the Bellas? Could she become her manager? This storyline has the potential to become the best divas storyline since Kharma! They are using realism to get people interested, it kinda reminds me of the CM Punk storyline! I hope I’m right!
