Exclusive: Lisa Marie Varon (Tara) Talks TNA & WWE, Golden Age of Divas, Future in Wrestling & More
On last night’s premiere episode of DD360, we were honored to be joined by veteran TNA Knockout and former WWE Diva, Lisa Marie Varon aka Tara (formerly known as Victoria).
We talk to the former WWE Women’s & TNA Knockouts Champion about her runs in WWE and TNA, her current project writing for Chicago Athlete magazine, her debut for Billy Corgan’s RESISTANCE Pro promotion on Black Friday, teaming with Brooke Tessmacher, the first ever Divas steel cage match, Gail Kim‘s return to TNA, her longevity in wrestling, as well as her future in wrestling, and much more!

Not only she is a great role-model, she is also an inspiration! Lisa Varon is the reason why I started loving so much watching wrestling. I still remember her theme -”I’m no lady to mess with”- when she entered with that energetic beat, it was breathtaking! And she never disappointed me as a fan!

Because it isn’t just the “wrestler”. It’s how she is such a down to earth person with such a kind and big heart that you can see without even meeting her in real life!

Victoria is amazing in every way possible. So athletic, amazing in the ring with everyone, broke down barriers with Trish, took mainstream women’s wrestling to heights that I don’t think it will ever taken to again. She is also very, very sweet and kind! Truly a legend and icon in women’s wrestling.
The interview was really great but I wish some of you guys would respond faster! The awkward silence at times is very uncomfortable LOL.

She just seem like the coolest person I felt abit bad for her though at times it seemed like melanie was abit mad haha. She was so candid and then melanie would kind of just move on to the next question lol … Love you Tara!

Lisa is a very nice person. I remember meeting her at my job in 2007, I followed her into the aisle and asked for a picture lol..so nice. I would love to meet her again someday!

Great interview. And, interesting observation about the closeness of the Golden Age Divas that she suspects is lacking with the current ones. You could always tell they were a close knit bunch in the behind the scenes vids,
