Standout independent British wrestler, Britani Knight, has reported to WWE’s developmental territory Florida Championship Wrestling.
Knight flew from her native England to Tampa, Florida earlier this week and made her debut at an FCW live event last night as part of a six-Diva battle royal under the name “Sariah”, reports PWInsider. The name is probably meant to be Saraya, which is Britani’s real name and her mother’s ring name. Expect her to have a new WWE name soon.
Prior to signing with WWE, Britani was best known for her work in Pro-Wrestling: EVE, where she was the first ever champion, SHIMMER and her family’s WAW promotion.

Her name is apparently pronounced Saraya(her real name).
I don’t think that she will get a call up before she’s released if im being honest but i wish her luck.

100% disagree the business is in her blood, very mature and a heck of a wreslter.

Yeah, I think even if she struggles with the political environment of WWE, she has a good support network in her family, who are wrestlers themselves. Besides, she’s very young and has a lot of time to fulfill her true potential. She could comfortably be in the WWE for years before she breaks out as a top Diva.

Time will tell, but she has an interesting background and has a pretty face.
I think she has way more chance than fox’sister.
I’m a huge fan of Britani and while I’m glad she’s poised for the big time, I hope the WWE don’t ruin or waste her talent.
pretty & really can wrestle. she will be my next favorite! (Eve/AJ)
Can’t wait to watch her!
I’m really excited to hear that Britani will debut in FCW despite that people are already saying that she’ll be released but its really hard to be a diva when the division itself is struggling.

She already has a diversity and advantage in experience over most of the other girls shepherding into FCW. Add to that her considerable beauty and proven work ethic, I think Britani stands a strong chance at doing well. FCW allows more room for the girls to show character, something else Britani has in abundance.

I hope WWE not make her look bad (as other girl who can wrestle.)
A brilliant choice by WWE.
Britani is great, I just hope will use her well! She’s beautiful and talented, so I hope she gets into the WWE way of things easily and gets utilised to her fullest!
Good new and finally! ^_^
I don’t know much about since I don’t know much about many indies wrestlers, but since she apparently did work for Shimmer before she must be decent at the very least. Also, I kind of like it when wwe hires woman from Canada, Europe and Australia because it adds international flavor. I think the reason wwe recently hired more women with wrestling experience is because they finally realized having 90% of the roster being noobs was a mistake and they want to reformat the structure of quality of the diva’s division with more seasoned talent. Maybe once the NXT 5 gain more experience and they start calling up the indie talent from fcw they’ll start giving the divas more time and creative support even though they shouldn’t have EVER went overboard with the diva search and fired all the wrestlers they had back in 2004. By the way I like AJ and Ivelisse the most so far out of indies wrestlers they’ve hired in the past few years or so.

Naomi Knight! If I were to give Naomi a character she could be like the Tamar Braxton of the wwe and just say whatever comes out of her mouth. It my never by the political correct thing to say but it’s what she sincerely thinks and also what we on this site mostly think too:)

It will never be decent unless they are given more time.
Fuck yes, big fan of Britani! She has the world at her feet & I can’t wait to see what she accomplishes in WWE, the good part is she’ll probably debut once Kharma is back (hopefully) & then the division will be back on track. This woman as a face or heel is such a charecter, just think of Layla but even better than that! So exicted for her future.
So I’m guessing her mother used her daughter’s real first name as her stage first name as a tribute to her?
If they are bringing back the Womens tag titles they need Britani and Layla in a team!!!

Agreed, lord the segments they could have together! I’m marking out!!! ah lol :)
Sarah fits her
Never seen any of her matches, but after everything I’ve heard about her, maybe it’s a good thing Naomi is still down in FCW just for the matches between those two.
Glad to see her finally arrive in WWE. Hope she gets the call up sometime this year. I heard WWE told her to keep it quiet over her reporting to FCW, not sure why but I guess they wanted to keep it as a surprise
By the way I saw the Divas match of Smackdown for today. Ok match with Tamina and Natalya though there was a bit of miscommunication. Natalya and Tamina well moreso Tamina got pops. I was surprised the crowd starting doing pops during the match and especially at the end where Tamina went for the Superfly Splash

Well, the splash was pretty sick looking, I was kind of at the edge of my seat when she went for it and hit it because of how breathtaking and intense it was:)
WWE has over 14 girls on the main roster, and with pending returns of Layla and Kharma. Don’t expect any FCW diva to get a call up, theres simply no space in WWE and won’t be for a long while until girls start getting cut.

I Like Rosa as a manger, Im Pretty sure there was at one stage 18 divas on the roster? So anything can happen, that is if they actually did a tag title

at one point, TNA had 16 girls on the roster, so 14 for WWE isn’t too much considering at one point they had 19!

The FCW girls have almost all started this year so I don’t think we’ll see them in the main roster soon (except if some get good very quickly).
By the time, maybe Aksana, Rosa and the Bellas would be cut.
I think 18 girl would be the perfect number for the diva roster.
Considering 2 divas injured at any time, 8 divas for each brand which makes 4 opponents for a face or for a heel (one new every week of a one month ppv time).

Being good has very little to do with being called up to the main roster. WWE has to have something for you to be called up.
Isnt she the chick who got crushed by Beth Phoenix on Smackdown back in 2010?
Jhonmarco Reply:

Nope, they were She Nay Nay & Brittney Savage & that was in 2009 in her squash tour. There was a 3rd woman Beth squahed but i can’t remember her name.
Spike7000 Reply:

The 3rd person was British Indie Wrestler Lisa Fury who worked a match there as Lisa Taylor

Thanks Marco and Spike! I remember the womans name was Brittney something now i know its Savage/Taylor and I thought Wow! Tough girl and incredibly pretty!
OMG, I can’t explain how much I love this girl. I have her autograph and her shirt lol! I seen and met her at Shimmer! Hope WWE uses her good or I will be PISSED!!!
Great News. Now I am actually happy that Naomi is in FCW. Britani has a great person to work with. I feel this will benefit both ladies. I mean who else can Ms.Knight work a great match with outside of AJ and Naomi?
Yay! I cant wait to see what she can do in WWE! I would say I hope she gets called up soon but I kinda dont. There’s too much of nothing (if that makes sense…) going on. Also call me biased but if she were to get called up before Naomi I would be mad. Haha but nonetheless I do hope she has a long career in WWE. I hope she can keep Sariah/Saraya. It fits and its edgy and its her real name. Knowing WWE they’ll change it something like Elizabeth Osborne or some tacky name that reflects where the person is from or race/ethnicity.
Excited, big fan.
love it, love it, now if only Tenille would debut i would be happy, or even Taya would be awesome to see debut??

when Tenille debuts I will be marking out until the end of the world!!
I obviously want great things for most women on the independent scene, but my puck is going to go to Athena. I’m just after watching her match with Jessica James and defy anyone who says she isn’t one of the most athletic women in the ring period. I don’t see why she couldn’t fit in the WWE: she’s charismatic, has a body to die for and could out-wrestle most mainstream women in her sleep.
Oh wait, I forgot at least two of those attributes are a setback in WWE.

… And I meant for this comment to be in the “two cents” thread.
Epic fail.
I’m looking forward to watch her. She’s talented and just exciting to watch, but probably will stick in FCW for a looooong time ’till she gets called up, like Naomi.
I ? this girl have met her and spoke to her loads, she will be HUGE and a great addition the the WWE! She’s so down to earth and fun too. Good luck Brits!!! =D
