This week on SmackDown, we get a second helping of Tamina vs Natalya in a return match from last week. We also are blessed with a triple shot of SmackDown’s resident pocket rocket, AJ. Let’s kick things off with our Divas match for this week.

Tamina was able to surprise us all, when she pulled out an upset over Natalya last week. Can the Polynesian Princess shock us all once more, or will the First Lady of the Hart Dungeon have her revenge? Check out the match below:

The Divas segment starts off with Natalya already in the the ring, looking pissed off, just like last week. Tamina is out next with a new entrance video and theme and new gear as well. The second generation Diva stops at the top of the ramp, to do her father’s iconic pose, before heading down to the ring. The referee signals for the bell and the match is underway.

Natalya wastes no time slapping Tamina across the face, before leveling her with a vertical suplex for a two count. Nattie tries to whip Tamina off of the ropes, but Tamina reverses it, leapfrogs over her and hits her signature Samoan Drop. With Natalya laid out, Tamina goes up to the top rope and hits the Superfly Splash to pick up the victory for the second week in a row.

Well, that was… quick…

It looks like Tamina is definitely a babyface now, but I still don’t know exactly why she’s feuding with Natalya. To be fair, there is a interview on WWE.com that explains Tamina’s newfound attitude, but I think there should be some sort of explanation on the show for those who won’t be bothered to look up the interview.

While I am happy that Tamina is seemingly finding her place in the Divas division, I can’t help but feel bad for Nattie, who has been really been racking up losses in the past few months. Nattie’s position in WWE feels a lot like Victoria’s (TNA’s Tara) last year in WWE, being used to elevate newer talents. The difference however, is that Victoria got to have a few solid storylines, feuds and title reigns; opportunities that Natalya has never really gotten. Nattie is one of the most talented, well-rounded Divas on the roster and it’s a damn shame to see all her potential go to waste as a glorified enhancement talent. Hopefully, this won’t be her permanent role as a Diva.

Next up, we have a few backstage segments with NXT3 alumna, AJ. First up AJ proclaims her love for fellow NXT graduate and WWE Heavyweight Champion, Daniel Bryan:

Next we see AJ appeal to the softer side of The Big Show, as she tries to save her boyfriend from imminent doom:

Last, but certainly not least, AJ takes one for the team (and by team, I mean Daniel Bryan), as she’s damn near killed by a stampeding rhino… erm… I mean, Big Show, when she accompanied Daniel Bryan to the ring for his main event title match:

They say love will make you do crazy things, and jumping in front of a charging 400 pounds of man has to be near the top of that list of crazy things. By the looks of things, it seems Daniel convinced AJ to jump in front of Show to help him keep the title and she did it to prove her love. It’s an interesting dynamic, this good girl/bad boy pairing, and I think it will get AJ over as a babyface and get Daniel some legit heat as a heel champion. Hopefully, we get some more AJ/DB interaction next week… If AJ isn’t in a coma after that bump, that is…

Hit or miss show for the Divas this week for the Divas this week, in my opinion. While the 30 second match was definitely a miss for me, AJ’s backstage segments and near death in the main event was a big hit. If we can get a decent match for the Divas next week AND a few segments backstage, we could have a good show next week. Fingers crossed, guys! Until next week!

  1. HEY!!!!!!!!!!! Aksana was backstage after Naomi’s dancing! xD

    Raekon Reply:

They seem to always leave Aksanas segments out lately. :(
She had one every week but she was barely featured on DD in the smackdown reduxes for a month or more already.

    Jhonmarco Reply:

Probably because they’re the same thing every time. And have been boring since about October.

    Raekon Reply:

    not really.

They left out stuff when she got interested on Cody Rhodes.
They left out hilarious and serious stuff as well.

Watching Kelly or Eve doing the same is boring aswell if you wanna go by it but they are still showing these.

    Kantrell Reply:

Maybe because she be talking bout the SAME stuff every week lol

  2. The Divas are just eye candy now, and WWE really proved that this week. I remeber Eric on the DD Staff stating that they push the girls that should be valets too far, and have the actual wrestlers doing nothing important. Meh.

  3. I really hate that Natalya is losing so much , I could understand if Natalya won a match 3 weeks ago then lost 2 weeks in a row , then won a match Monday , Thursday or Friday. Thats not really jobbing because your winning matches in between. When your losing matches for at least a month then thats a problem.
Needless to say it has happened to a few heel divas in the past like Alicia , Beth , Victoria , Melina ! WWe always favors faces over heels because they are the good guys.

You would never see a heel win matches 4 weeks in a row , but a face tch..like Kelly , Eve & Alicia constatly getting wins over Beth & Natalya ! The heels could win some matches too :(. Or Kelly & Eve constantly getting wins over The Bellas. Its really frustrating and annoying when you see the SAME people win over and over again. It takes fun out of the whole match. I favor Heels over face divas anyways so it dosent even matter.. The faces barley lose matches..they win 90% of the time

Im glad Tamina is winning and i like her theme and attire go TaMina lol At least she isnt jobbing anymore ^_^

Oh I love that Aj is in this mainevent to I hope this goes further I heart Aj !

  4. And the one time they actual do something smart by i.e using Aj to escort daniel bryan, she gets trampled on. Lol

    Jhonmarco Reply:

    LMAO! Very true.

  5. Does anyone else absolutely LOVE this Daniel/AJ/Show storyline? It’s getting AJ more over (which she doesn’t really need but still). I don’t see AJ turning heel, but trying to help a heel Daniel Bryan in a face-like manner. Ryder/Eve & Daniel/AJ are the only thing keeping me entertained in WWE. (With honorable mentions to: Rhodes, Ziggler, Punk, & Jericho.) That match was a joke, I honestly hoped they would have just cut it. Smackdown this week was a joke as well /: I really hope Vince hasn’t started to pay attention to the “B-Show”. (Lord knows, he’ll turn it into Raw 2.0).

    LadyGoDiva Reply:

@Jhonmarco I love it too because having its something that I would never see WWE doing plus you had a Diva stop a main event match.

    xoxoRKOxoxo Reply:

i know right i do love it!!!!

  6. natalya is just a jobber now.
if she carries on the DOD thing now, it will just look stupid!!!

  7. i liked taminas music & look,she didn’t look awkward at all which is a nice change….
two minutes for tamina & nattie…really i would have liked this match to be on superstars or nxt at least it would get 5-10 minutes…..

poor aj but at least shes doing something & i hope she turns heel or becomes the face girlfriend standing by her man even if hes bad….

  8. I don’t know if anyone saw it but they played a promo video on Aj, right after her first segment with Daniel Bryan.

It’s seems like WWE is trying to push her, and I love it. She is honestly the most pg out of all the divas, which could be why they want to push her.

    LayTorres Reply:

A lot of divas have those kind of promos. Maryse had one, Kelly had one, and I think Michelle had one as well. So it’s nothing special. Its part of their Smart,Sexy,Powerful divas campaign.

    Raekon Reply:

She had that promo last week aswell.

  9. I seriously danced to Tamna’s new music in African Tribal style. LOL!! I kid.
As for the match, all I can say that it was extremely quick. A little bit of time would have been better.
And I think that AJ’s injury might be kayfabe here. IMO.

  10. And does anyone find it ironic that a year ago Natalya was divas champion & now she’s a jobber. Come to think of it, the division was much better a year ago (not by much, but we still had McCool, Gail, etc.).

    LayTorres Reply:

I went down the memory lane last night, and I checked out matches from RAW and SD 2008. I compared those matches with 2011′s matches, the difference is SKY HIGH let me tell you this pal.

    Jhonmarco Reply:

I actually said a year ago, but okay.

    LayTorres Reply:

I am just saying the comparison in general as to how it took only two to three years the divas division to change so drastically. And the change is not for the good either. But yeah I get your point, things also changed for Nattie very quickly in one year. Shame!

    Melina&Mickie4ever! Reply:

Lamo @JohnMarco but yeah and a year ago she got wins on Raw each week…lol Did Natalya even lose once during her regin ? I dont remember then again what title regin does anybody remember

    Jhonmarco Reply:

Laytorres, oh agreed. I don’t think it was so quickly though, it was more of a slow-burn thing. Over the few years they got rid of great talent like Winter, Gail, Mickie, Angela Fong, Tiffany, etc. A damn shame. From 2008 to 2011 we got great feuds like Melina/Beth, Mickie/Michelle, Michelle/Maryse, etc. Even Maryse/Melina was looking to be great before Melina’s injury.

Melina&Mickie4ever, I don’t think she lost during her reign! She was booked strongly & chances are her feud with Melina would’ve been longer had it not been for Melina going on a bit of a rant on twitter. & LOL @ your last statement.

    LayTorres Reply:

I think Nattie might have lost just once against of the Laycool duo. But I might be wrong. Oh do you guys know if the DOD storyline is finished at all?

    Future Endeavoured Reply:

only loss she had was when LayCool beat Natalya and Kelly Kelly

  11. I think it was more Daniel ran around AJ on purpose, knowing that Big Show would probably run into her and he’d be upset about it enough to stop the match (especially with his berating)…AJ was just a (95-pound) pawn in Daniel’s game to keep his title.

In reality AJ probably was psyched up to do her first stretcher job- she sold it well I thought.

  12. TaMEANa is now Tarzana “Queen of the Jungle”, “Princess of the Wild”, but I feel sorry for Natalya how she goes from beating Laycool in a 2 on 1 match do jobbing like this is beyond me. I guess wwe still have a deep seeded hatred towards the Harts! AJ has gotten a great role in a pretty interesting storyline and she’s already getting more over because of it. AJ sort of reminds me of Hinamori from Bleach in how this sweet innocent adorable girl was seduced, manipulated, and taken advantage of by the modest charm of Aizen.

  13. Thought it was kinda cool to see two divas make appearances in main event storylines for both Raw and SD shows this week.

    gottalovedivas Reply:

It was, you reminded me about Eve as well.

I think this will be a new technique by WWE to get the girls more involved without giving them additional matches and solo spots – but hey its all good for character development.

I feel creative and vince think highly of Eve especially, and I believe they want to really push AJ but build her up first – which is a good thing.

I hope their finally learning that you can’t just shove a girl out there and expect her to become a top face/heel people have to invest in their character.

  14. It took balls for my girl AJ to go out there and get ran over by an almost 500 pound Big Show. It took guts to do that and she sold it well. #toughgirl

    LayTorres Reply:

And she sold it extremely well. When I saw it, I was like OUCH!!
And did you hear Daniel Bryan say “SHE’S 95 POUNDS! YOUR 500 POUNDS!!” to Big Show?

    WWFoverWWE Reply:

He barely touched her. Aj has taken more bumps in wrestling matches than she did here.

  15. Words can’t describe how much Daniel Bryan annoys me. I was hoping Big Show would knock him out x-D

From the backstage segment where Bryan asks Aj how much she loves him, it looks like Bryan asked AJ to take a bump from big show so he could retain his title.

  16. It would have been more dramatic had AJ literally thrown herself at Big Show, but it just looked like he was too clumsy to miss her. Poorly executed, in my opinion, but I did like the story behind it and the post-reactions from all three were very good.

Shame for Natalya, however. She’s one of the best female wrestlers they’ve had and deserves to be booked accordingly. I don’t know how an eventual feud with Beth will come across if they keep running her into the ground like this.

    YeahBaby46 Reply:

I can’t see a Beth-Natalya feud happening anymore. Natalya’s momentum is virtually zero after all the embarrassing losses she has been taking and the WWE seem to be going out of their way to humiliate her.

She is so talented but as the WWE seems to do with their talented divas isn’t being used properly and may well be released soon.

    Kessuki Reply:

i hope she is released for her sake. she would be great in tna and no doubt they would sign her where she can face sarita, gail, mickie and tara. :D

  17. Both a confusing and interesting edition of Smackdown! For the Divas.
    What was good:
•A follow through match with Tamina and Natalya
•AJ getting mass exposure and being integrated into a main event storyline with two top Superstars
    •An impressive slash from Tamina
•Male and female collision – I think pg WWE right be fading

    What needs improvement:
•Pet Peeve – No Diva looks good in animal print so ditch it Tamina
•Diva match was ridiculously short for two capable wrestlers, and didn’t really add anything.
    • Where does this lead Tamina and Natalya – the feuds just begun and its already stale
•A promo would have been better for Tamina to explain her face turn and why she suddenly has a rivalry with Nattie

    Raekon Reply:

They said that she had a interview at wwe.com about her face turn but I never saw any yet.

    Gonna check for it next.

  18. I don’t know who to feel more sorry for Nattie getting worked over week after week, or AJ needing to be scraped off the floor after being steam rollered! Loving Tamina’s new intro, look, attiude, push etc. but does it really have to be at the expense of a DOD. Makes that obviously now scrapped storyline look like a total waste of time. There are plenty of others they could use on the roster to put Tamina over, yet they choose someone who was Champ less than a year ago! Good bump by AJ though, maybe when they put her back together again they will lose a little bit of that school girl perkyness (yuk).

  19. I LOVED Taminas new theme and looks but hated the match.
Both girls did well with their moves but it was a 3-4 moves match which is ridiculous.

AJ was on spot in her segments and the aftermath.
    Aksana was hilarious. :p

  20. at this point it´s not even relevant or even funny to discuss the outcome of a singles match where Natalya is included..

  21. I appreciate that the WWE is putting some of their Divas in backstage promos even though we didn’t see much of them in ring action, it matters to me to see the divas get more tv time even if its not wrestling.

Seeing AJ invade my TV on SD was great and has me a little excited to see what happens next week, I don’t except to see Aj turn heel unless she returns and like to see how this Bryan/AJ storyline pans out?

Plus I’m confused on what the crowd was saying?

    Jhonmarco Reply:

According to people who were at the show there was a “She’s fine” or “She’s not hurt” chant going on.

  22. TAMIIIINAAA! <3 i like her new gimmik.

  23. Who on earth has Natalya upset to be humiliated week after week? She has wrestled more matches than any other diva in the past few months yet has lost virtually every single one. I can’t recall a diva racking up this many losses ever.

Natalya is one of (If not the most) talented divas on the roster right now but she is jobbing to everyone for no discernible reason. The optimist in me says this is Natalya ‘paying dues’ for a lengthy title run later this year or that even she offered to put Alicia and now Tamina over but the realist in me says that is very unlikely.

I agree with the idea of pushing Tamina but why humiliate Nattie over and over again to achieve it? The WWE has other heel divas . Some may argue that with Natalya being talented she can afford a loss. Maybe one or two but certainly not being squashed week after week.

Natalya is the most misused diva right now and as each week goes by I am more convinced that Nattie Neidhart will be Knockouts Champion by this time next year. For whatever reason Nattie is being treated atrociously by WWE and she must be the nicest person in the world to put up with it.

    adifferentsame Reply:

Jillian was a talented Diva who was treated the same way. After the model vanilla became the norm, Victoria’s career decelerated too. I don’t like the way they use Natalya either but a part of me realises that no one is entitled to anything, and in retrospect, perhaps “humiliation” is the wrong word here – after all, losing matches doesn’t alter her tv time or her salary. Misused and mishandled, yes, but humiliated? Nah. What I do wholeheartedly agree on is that they’re not getting their money’s worth by utilising her this way.

    YeahBaby46 Reply:

Nobody should be pushed because of who their family are but she is more talented than virtually all of the roster (I’m not sure who is better between her and Beth) and is being made to look like a joke by jobbing for months on end,

Gail Kim was barely used on TV but her credibility wasn’t really hit by it. Natalya whilst not buried (She has had more TV time than any other diva since the DOD feud started and has had more diva focus’s than anyone else recently) she has been jobbing for a whole division.

With speculation that Natalya may well get a diva title run at some point this year I am optimistic that the rest of 2012 will be better for her but with her jobbing for an entire division I fear her credibility will be run into the ground by the time she gets a diva title push.

  24. AJ :D

:O i can’t believe that the crowd actually payed attention to the backstage segment which led to the “She’s OK!” chants.

  25. AJ may look and act cute, innocent, and somewhat naive but for those of you who don’t know she can actually be a nasty, dirty little thing if given the chance!

    xILOVENATTIEx Reply:

She was such a bitchy heel on FCW, I love it

  26. Did anyone else hear the crowd for Tamina? WWE please pay attention to that and run with it. For once!

    Teri Reply:

Some of the crowd noise was edited in, unfortunately

    art Reply:

the entrance cheer was but when she pointed before she went up for the splash you can see the crowd cheered her….

  27. Guys Does Complaining About Everything Help The Divas? NO!
You Guys Just Find Negative Thing & Make Them Worse.
When Was The Last Time The Divas Were On ALL 4 SHOWS?
Gosh………. Focus On The Positive Please

    Jhonmarco Reply:

Why shouldn’t people complain? This week was better for the divas character-wise but it was still pretty damn bad. Everything is still shitty for the women & people should still complain.

    DJ8946 Reply:

If You Want To Fix The Division Mail WWE About It Then & Let Me Know How It Goes Kk ;)

    Jhonmarco Reply:

Yup, because you know WWE cares SO much about their fans’ opinions. I’ll complain about things I don’t like, but I still enjoy wrestling with TNA, Shimmer, WSU, etc. I find it sad though that people will actually settle for crap like this & dare call it “good”.

    Teri Reply:

And NOT complaining about the divas is going to ‘help the divas’? NO!

    go away

    DJ8946 Reply:

jhonmarco: I Get What Your Saying But Insulting The Divas Isn’t Going To Help

Teri: Stop Commenting On My Shit If Your Gonna Be A Bitch

    Teri Reply:

I’ll comment on what I want to comment.

    Jhonmarco Reply:

No one insults the divas (at least mostly everyone) unless they’re mic work/wrestling sucked (in their opinion). We mostly insult the lack of effort for the women.

    art Reply:

sorry fans dont have to settle for the fact the divas were on all 4 shows when the time their in the ring is about as long as their entrances….

    DJ8946 Reply:

Art:I Personally Think That The Divas Are Better Than The Knockouts I Mean Sure The Knocouts Are Getting More Time & More Focus On Them WWE Just Needs To Focus On The Division More Then It Would Be Better

Jhon:Dont Get Me Started. NO BASHES THE DIVAS?! Come On All You Guys Say OMG They Need To Focus More On The Divas(BTW They Have), OMG BETH & NATTIE ARE LOSING FTW :(, KELLY EVE ALICIA THE BELLAS ROSA KAITLYN THEY ALL SUCK THEY ARN’T REAL WRESTLERS THEY NEED TO BE FIRED. What Do You Call That?! SureThey Divas Division Could Better If They Were Given More Time But They Have A Good Roster. I Believe After Layla Returns Or When They Finally Give The Divas A Gimmick Match The Division Will Start To Return To Its Glory

    Jhonmarco Reply:

People are allowed to think that. Why should people not believe that certain women suck (in their opinion)? Former glory? You mean from 2006? Our only hope is Kharma at this point, don’t expect anyone to be all cheery & happy when the divas are considered a joke. And at times don’t help themselves witht he matches/segments they put on.

  28. That match was a joke, but at least AJ got to do something big. If this storyline goes where I think it will, it could be really good for her. She’ll be “blinded by love” and not see Bryan’s true nature and that he’s just using her. If/when she finally comes to her senses and turns on him, it could lead to her getting way over as a face (that is, if they don’t have her turn heel with Bryan).

In a non-Diva related note, I was cracking up watching Bryan yell at Show on the ramp. He looked like an enraged hobo.

    LayTorres Reply:

    Enraged hobo, LMFAO! Good one!

  29. Poor Aj and Show…. I’m kind of starting to dislike (heel) Daniel.

  30. I love Tamina’s new gimmick. She seems like she’s in her element and it comes off very natural. I honestly want to see these two in a longer match because they have so much potential together, but we only see like a minute of it.

I like the fact that they’re using AJ in the main event storyline and this will only help build her character as she was barely being used before.

I think they were chanting “She’s Okay” to Big Show because he was sobbing for a few minutes.

I’d rather see Tamina vs Natalya 500 more times, than Kelly and Bellas each week. We need some variety!

  31. ha @ the comment about divas being eye candy lolz..yeah right smh

BTW ouch poor AJ man..i even felt bad for BIG SHOW!!

Someone fill me in, I dont watch raw or SD so im clueless as to what happens, is Brian bad guy now? And Big show hes always been BFFs with the divas lol since 2005
He loved Joy Giovanni and Michelle McCool =D
I know he feels forrible about knocking down lil AJ
But he felt fine about smacking Trish Stratus lol

    Jhonmarco Reply:

Bryan is basically having a slow-burn heel turn, where he keeps showing heel-like behavior. For example, like last week when he purposely got himself dq’ed last week & this week as well. It’s pretty good stuff & honestly the only thing that’s intresting in WWE. Wierdly enough Cole is still burying him on commentary (even his heel-like behavior). Weird.

    Ryan Reply:

    Thanks Marco =)

Man I really hate cole! I hated him then and Im sure I still hate this poor excuse to be considered a man..smh
And its not that “hes doing his job as a heel” good its just that hes so unlikable! lol

But I guess thats cool for danielson

    Jhonmarco Reply:

He gets the bad type of heat, he gets the”change the channel” heat. Such a waste of a paycheck & sadly he’s not the worest commentator. That’d be either Lawler or Booker T.

    Jamesgangforever Reply:

Booker T is the worst commentator there is. Not Lawler, he is in second place on that one. I think that Josh Mathews is the future of commentators for WWE. I don’t know why though. The thing about Cole is that he ruins the show for me half the time. Like when D-Byran was still a face and Josh Mathews was interviewing him in the ring, Cole got up and started calling Daniel Bryan a hypocrite and just disrespecting him, going on his little rant every time he doesn’t like something. He ruined the whole SmackDown for me because for the rest of the night he just kept throwing his little rants.

    Jhonmarco Reply:

It also makes people not care for that specific segment/person he’s bashing. I mean we get he’s a heel, but when your own employee bashes the wrestlers on tv, it doesn’t make them look good.

    Ryan Reply:

Yeah JONMARCO take JBL back in the day he was Gold bro!! He was obsessed with Michelle mcCool hahaha he always said how hot they were!!! And always crapped on Cole for being an asskissing fruit!
JR and King were pretty great! Darnest spear i ever seen hehe..oh and this guy, PUPPIEEEES!! lol
But cole is like wow man i cant stand him im sure many cant either, like u said dude one thing is being a heel and putting over the face but he is doing neither he is just..making pple tune away

@JAMESGANG had no idea Booker T was even back! maybe that is why Fox stopped using the sissors kick

  32. Where is uncle Bret when you need him! Ugh…To be honest Natalya got her
Push just because WWE was happy with how their relationship with Bret turned out, then after he left the Hart dynasty got split (David got fired), Kidd is a jobber and Natalya is too!

I will like to see Natalya vs tamina in Superstars.

  33. Big Show felt bad about a light ‘push’ to AJ, however had no problem hurling Trish from the ring to the floor like a spear? LOL

Firstly im uber pleased that AJ got the main event rub so early on in her career, it shows the WWE really wants to invest in this girl and I hope that 2012 is HER year, she has everything it takes to be the divisions go to girl, the spunk of Mickie, Lita’s high flying ability, Melina’s uniqueness and Trish’s workrate.

HOWEVER that bump was pathetic, the crowd chanted she’s ok for a reason, and not because they think it was a double cross,

Tamina vs Natalya….What can I say aside from the fact that Natalya MUST have burped in the wrong Mcmahon’s face at somepoint in her career, she’s literally being buried. Im glad they have some sort of feud going though,

    Ryan Reply:

Na natalya has always been a Gameplayer
Even when the bad gets goin she will just smile and work and not complain
If u recall she started off strong in smackdown, then because she looked like beth she was told to dye her hair red lol..
She lost to Eve torres yet she was her smilling and willing tag team partner the next day haha!! Nattie is great man!

Sucks how much restriction Natalya n Tamina have in wwe..smh
these two should be on NXT!!

And yeah Big Show pie facing trish to the floor for hitting him with a chair was awesome! =D
Shes a solider for trying to save Buh Buh Ray from Big Show XD

    Jamesgangforever Reply:

Nattie is a great man? haha

    Jamesgangforever Reply:

oops never mind that comment I missed read it. My bad.

  34. The match was pointless however that ending was so intense, I think it made up for it. I was watching it so closely as if it was like a soap opera and someone had just died.

  35. This reminds me of JAMIE NOBLE/NIDIA relationship when Nidia was blind & Jamie used her to get wins!!!!

    Alexe Cortez - FoxSana Reply:

I thought I was the only one that saw it.

  36. Well we wanted to see more diva;s on the WWE shows weare getting it. :D Glad to see WWE finally is using them in other roles than just the short boring match. they are getting used in male storylines also. Poor little Aj told DBryan she loved him and got ran over by an out of control 500 plus pound Big Show to be known according to DBryan as a bastard, As for the divas match I agree Nattie is really getting the Victoria treatment putting over Tamina & other divas regularly. I hope when her contract ends she leaves and goes to TNA or Japan where she will get respected. Yes Steven I too want an explanation as to how Tamina is now a babyface when she was the one that attacked nattie first after aliciia pinned her

    Kessuki Reply:

i totes agree with ya on nattie leaving wwe. the belt is meaningless, there is no good talent for her to wrestle, shes come off terrible in the last 6 months single matches and gets no opportunity to cut a promo, its not certain kharma will return and its not certain she will get to face either lita or trish.

if she did go tna i would not be able to complain about any of that. imagine Sarita or Tara or Mickie James vs Natalya in a steel cage match. :D

    Kessuki Reply:

and the KOs belt has more prestige to it than the divas belt. however i doubt it as beth is her bff so shes unlikely to leave. :(

  37. Wtf @ @Natalya losing again. I’m just hoping the reported Beth vs. Natalya plan will thrust her into the spotlight and back to where she should be. As of now though, I hope Tamina does become over with the fans and I hope she does somehow find herself into a real storyline. These two need some segments and back story.

BUT OMG @ AJ IN THE MAIN EVENT. I always get excited when a diva is in the main event. I’m happy they really believe in her enough to include her in a big time storyline. I know a lot of divas want her spot. :)

I’m confused though, when the crowd chanted “She’s OK” was it because they were cheering her on or did they think she’s faking it? If I was AJ I’d be like “you mofo biotches you better believe this -_-” lol

  38. The match starts at 0:45, she starts going for the splash at 1:17, lands the splash at 1:37. The actual match was about 32 seconds if you take away the delay on the splash and the pin… It only had 4 moves and that’s if you include the slap! I know that both are good workers and can wrestle, but how can you call this OK? Just because 2 good wrestlers are in the ring doesn’t mean that their display can’t be ruined by time restrictions so please don’t say ‘Both can wrestling’ in reply to this because I know they can.

Anyway, I did that first on purpose. Now I can speak about the positive. I liked AJ’s backstage segments with Big Show and Daniel Bryan. AJ, Maxine, Eve (Kind of) and Aksana (Kind of) are the only girls displaying acting skills and they are doing a great job.

So… The bump AJ took was sick, I liked the way she landed but I hated the way it was executed because it looked like Show barely touched her. I’m not sure if I want her to turn heel, she’s one of the few faces that I enjoy watching.

I don’t think they are going to turn AJ Heel. I think that they are going to use AJ to help build up more Heel Heat for Daniel Bryan. I mean here you have sweet, innocent, lovestruck AJ being manipulated by Daniel Bryan for his own ends. I can see their pairing being like a Miss Elizabeth/Randy Savage type of pairing where Daniel uses AJ’s love for him to benefit himself.

WE saw throughout this show how Bryan was manipulating AJ. First we saw AJ declare her love for Bryan, upon which, Bryan just stared blankly and said “Wow, thanks AJ” in a monotone voice and stared to the side as if the gears for a plot were already forming in his head. Then you had Bryan accuse Show of trying to take AJ from him or threatening her, upon which AJ just looked exasperated. And then he asked AJ how much does she REALLY love him, and then they walk off-camera. Then you had Bryan run in AJ’s direction leading to AJ being injured by Big Show. By using AJ in this manner he basically “kills two birds with one stone”, he retains his World Heavyweight Title for another week, while also crushing the Big Show’s spirit by causing Show to accidentally injure AJ.

This would help Bryan get more Heat and more over as a Heel while also building sympathy for AJ and build to the moment where she has had enough of Bryan and his manipulations and turns on him. At a time when WWE is having trouble creating an over Babyface Diva that the fans can connect to, this could be great opportunity for WWE to do just that with AJ, much like they did a decade ago with Trish Stratus.

  39. Why do I have a feeling that Daniel is gonna turn heel & talk shit about aj while she’s out and at the next ppv its gonna be db. V. bs. And aj will distract Daniel and cost him the match & the title.

  40. I like that they are pushing Tamina but they shouldn’t do it at the expense of Nattie…. Mind you saying that this is WWE where talent like Jackie, Tori, Ivory, Luna and Sheri Martell were all used and abused to push non-wrestlers.

AJ’s segments were cool and omg I feel sorry for the Big Show because if the bump she took is kafabe then they all sold it really well and I can’t wait for next weeks Smackdown. AJ = Terri Runnels! They both know how to get wrestlers over!

Wasn’t Terri’s nickname ‘Little Whore’ or something like that? I suppose AJ is a PG version.

LOL I could just see her being announced as that..

  41. a think a poll should be opened about when will Natalya get a win…..

  42. It disgusts me that they are squashing Nattie to put over the useless Tamina. Tamina has the size and the look but then, so did Nathan Jones. Watching Tamina work is cringe inducing, her clumsiness is going to injure someone and the awful way she lands her top rope splat is definitely going to ruin her own knees. Hats off to Nattie for being the complete pro and putting over the lumbering clod. Here’s hoping this little program ends sooner than later.

Very nice to see AJ getting some main event, championship match exposure. I think little AJ is the complete package and could easily be the biggest thing in the diva division since Trish. I hope the WWE marketing machine is gearing up to back her with the shirts and merch that actually supports sustained pushes.

I’ve never understood Tamina’s hype either, having a certain body type like Beth doesn’t mean you’ll be as solid as her.

taminas clumsy sometimes..i didn’t find her clumsy in this match & i bet working 1 minute matches rushing can make anyone look bad…
plus tamina doesn’t have alot of experience inring either….theirs nothing wrong with taminas splash because she hardly hits them & shes wearing knee pads to protect her knees as much as possible…

That part about “Tamina doesn’t have al lot of experience” is pretty much why she can appear to be sloppy & clumsy at times. She was in FCW for a few months (after being signed with only a year of experience). She debuted with the Usos & now she’s stuck on the main roster being green, thanks to WWE. She’s sloppy, but she was brought up way too soon.

this match lasted like a minute. in that minute she barely kept out of her own way. also, working with nattie, she had the single best possible worker to help her look as good as she could with the three moves she managed to accomplish. her footwork is awful, very flat footed, the opposite of agile and her timing is never crisp. my main concern with her is that her poor timing and positioning make it more likely that she’s going to accidentally hurt someone really badly. there’s a reason that stellar workers like a lance storm or hbk can use the super kick so well, precise skill and experience. there’s also a reason big clumsy people like goldberg or tamina should never get near that sort of move, ask uncle bret. tamina just doesn’t have the skill to protect her opponents and sell the move. she really needs to spend an intensive year in training and honing her craft. her potential is being wasted with the too much, too soon push.
