Former Knockouts Champion Velvet Sky addressed the possibility of a Beautiful People reunion in Impact Wrestling during a recent interview with Zoo magazine in the UK.
Velvet said:
You can never say never in wrestling, hint hint TNA creative. Don’t get me wrong I am enjoying my run just now as a singles competitor. When we were a group that was one of the best times I’ve had. Angelina and I, and she’ll agree, we’ve just had this amazing chemistry, especially when we were doing promos and talking.
I feel like we were made for that role and Madison Rayne was a great fit to the group when she joined. You know it’s a lot harder for female acts to make an impact in the wrestling world. At the time of the Beautiful People we were confident it would work, but surprised to the extent of its success where we really connected with the fans. You couldn’t have just thrown any two people together to create the Beautiful People. A special bond and on-screen chemistry made it work and so successful.
Velvet also says her goal for 2012 is to regain the Knockouts Title which she lost after less than a month of winning it.
She adds:
It was special to win my very first Knockouts championship. Now for me my goal will be to recapture the title. But hopefully this time I will have a longer title reign and 2012 will be my year.

I would love for that to happen and I bet it would’ve if Gail Kim didn’t return at the time Velvet just became champion because I think that if she didn’t,Velvet would’ve continued her rivalry with Winter and during their rematch,Angelina would’ve been asked to attack Velvet but she attacks Winter instead helping Velvet retain the title and the Beautiful People reunite again

I want Velvet and Angelina to reunite so bad and become tag champs like they were supposed to be the first ever tag champs! And I do love velvet as a singles commpedator but I just love them together as faces (:

I would be SO happy if they re-united. I just loved seeing them both compete. Like Velvet said they do have great chemistry, no doubt. Although if they were running for Tag Team champs then I wonder what would happen between themselves and TNT. Unless they turn heel, ah well, it’s up to TNA Creative I guess.

Really nice interview. I’ve always thought the inception of the tag belts were designed to enhance the Beautiful People, since for a long time they were at the forefront of the division and massively over with the fans. Why TNA split them up the second time around only for the Winterlina storyline to dip so anti-climatically is beyond me. The original Beautiful People deserve at least one memorable reign, hopefully as heels.

At first I thought their gimmick would fail miserably. I mean come on, their gimmick was based on trashy tramps (its true). But slowly as the time progressed, they really blended in well and they became very popular. I always thought Angie was better out of the duo. Didnt like the addition of Von Erich in their team, I always considered the Beautiful People to be Velvet, Angie, and Madison. Loved their run as a face team. I would love it if they reunited at some point in the middle of the year. That way, Winter can become a legit singles competitor without dragging Love along with her. Maybe if Angie can turn face, ask for forgiveness from Velvet, reunite happily, challenge Maddie and Kim to their tag titles.
P.S: Velvet is soooooo lucky to be dating Chris Sabin. Lucky daughter of a gun!! LOL!!

I really miss TBP :( The Beautiful People vs. Gail Kim and Madison Rayne should be the next feud in the works! Mickie can take a backseat for a while, since she’s been at the forefront since she arrived and never left it.

The knockouts don’t always keep kayfabe alive on Twitter. A few weeks ago, a fan asked Angelina Love who are her best friends in the TNA roster…Angelina replied saying “Velvet Sky and Madison Rayne of course”.
These girls are really close, even if they are not on TV together.

I would to see a Beautiful People reunion with Angelina and Velvet. But at the same time I want to see Velvet continue as a singles wrestler and hopefully get another Knockout title run. IMO she shouldn’t have lost it in the first place.

BPs were some cool chicks in 2008-2010 but when Angelina got deported Madison had to fill in lol..Glad Angelina is back and how weird it was LayCool vs BP semi-unspoken fued..
I do miss the BP in a way but totally love Velvet Sky being single hehe

I hope they return and feud with Gail and Madison with Madison turning on Gail making Gail face again. Gail then gets beat down each week by the group until an unlikely ally has had enough which is Mickie. BP adds a fourth member in that of Brook whom turns on Tara in which Tara gets stretchered (so she’s out for a month). Gail and Mickie gets beat down until Winter returns as a face to join the fold!!! ODB doesn’t care while Sarita is laughing on the side at this feud. She sneaks herself in and wins the KO champ. Gail wants a rematch, but BP does not let her have it in peace. Gail is out of the title contention for a bit to deal with BP while ODB gets to feud with Sarita and a returning Awesome Kong.

Awesome kong might get better treatment in wwe ( doesn’t mean she got bad treatment in tna) since she’s a interesting character, but I really hope she can come back to tna, let’s see how worse wwe wants to screw their divas division and kong might come to tna again.
