Considering that there was no Diva involvement advertised for the Royal Rumble last night, it turned out to be quite the affair with not one, but two great moments for the Divas roster. Firstly, Beth Phoenix and Kelly Kelly lead dueling teams to the ring for an impromptu Divas match that, compared to recent matches on Raw and SmackDown, was the Divas version of a wrestling clinic. And if that wasn’t enough, it’s the watercooler moment that everyone is talking about today — Kharma made a shocking return to the WWE as only the third woman to compete in the Royal Rumble match.
Let’s review the Rumble!
Much like last month’s TLC pay per view we are caught off guard as Beth Phoenix’s music hits and we realize that it’s time for another impromptu Divas match. This month, however, Beth has brought some friends in the form of Natalya and Brie & Nikki Bella. All of the Divas are clad in matching teal gear. While I appreciate the color coordination, I’m not a fan of the color itself and the shiny, metallic look. Points for effort, though.
Next out it’s the familiar team of Alicia Fox, Eve Torres and Kelly Kelly — but wait, they’ve found another friend! Natalya’s recent rival, the Samoan Princess, Tamina, has landed a pay per view match! Welcome to the big leagues, Tamina! Though not exactly matching like the heel team, A-Fox, Eve & K2 are decked out in fiery orange-ish outfits… while Tamina sticks to her black with leopard print trim. It’s okay, Tamina, girl. We’re just happy you’re not wearing that other outfit anymore!
As the Divas begin filing into the ring and taking to their respective corners, it’ll be the familiar duo of Tamina and Natalya kicking things off. I begin to suspect that this match will end as quickly as their matches on SmackDown and none of the other Divas will be tagged in, but I’m pleasantly surprised to learn that is not the case. The pair lock up as Natalya gets the better of the exchange with a side-headlock takedown. Tamina and Natalya rise to their feet as Tamina whips Natalya against the ropes and then attempts to barge her down but the third-generation Hart is not budging! It’ll take more than that, Tamina. Natalya grabs Tamina by the hair but the Samoan Diva uses her strength to lift Nattie on to her shoulders and seems to be going for a Samoan drop, however, Natalya quickly wriggles her way out of the move and plants Tam-Tam with a hefty slap. This only fires up Tamina more, it seems, as she slaps Natalya right back and hits her with a hard chop and a jumping headbutt. Pin attempt but no three for Tamina.
Tamina tags in Eve now, who despite her boyfriend being crushed by Kane for several weeks in a row, looks a little too happy. Eve, with not a care in the world, sets up her booty pop and hits a nice standing moonsault on Natalya. Pin attempt but once again Natalya kicks out. Natalya quickly finds a second wind, jumping to her feet, picking up Eve and charging into the heels’ corner. There, Natalya tags in Divas Champ Beth who is hungry for some competition. Beth quickly puts some licks on Eve but the former Divas Champ soon fights back with a nice kick to the face followed by a sitout clothesline. Eve then follows up with a senton splash but Beth puts up her knees and drives them into Eve’s back. Beth now takes advantage with a hard kick to the stomach followed by elbows and a pin attempt.
Beth then isolates Eve in the heels’ corner and tags in Brie Bella. Brie chokes Eve over the middle rope before kicking her in the head. Chinlock by Briezy as Eve tries to muster the strength to fight out of it. Eve eventually gets to her feet and manages to get out of the hold and tags in Miss Foxy who comes into the ring with a nice clothesline and not one but two dropkicks. Foxy begins stomping Brie in the corner. However, the referee becomes distracted by unruliness amongst the two teams on the apron and as his attention is diverted, Nikki pushes Brie out of the way and swaps places with her allowing the fresh Bella to dupe Alicia. Nikki plants Fox in the corner and drives her knees into Alicia’s back. She then snaps her arm against the mat before applying a nice submission hold. Foxy begins getting to her feet and hits a very cool splits into an arm drag on Nikki before giving the hot tag to the holler hollerin’ Kelly Kelly.
Kelly gets a big pop as she hits the ring with a face smash on Nikki followed by a twirly-bird headscissors. Kelly with a handspring butt bump in the corner and bulldog. Pin attempt but Brie breaks it up. This leads to the veritable mish-mash as all of the Divas duke it out in and out of the ring. As all of the Divas battle outside, golden girl Kelly sees an opportunity, climbing to the top turnbuckle and hitting a nice dive to take out all of the Divas. Good response from the crowd, too.
Kelly throws one of the Bella Twins back into the ring and looks to be about ready to pick up the victory, however, Miss B trips her up and Kelly lands throat first on the middle rope. Divas Champion Beth sneaks up on Bella and blind tags herself in with a hard slap to the arm. As Beth gets in the ring, we’re going to assume Miss B is now coughing up a lung.
Beth has had enough of all of the fun, games and shenanigans it seems. She picks up Kelly Kelly in that all too familiar position and hits the Glam Slam for a rousing victory.
Thoughts: Really enjoyable tag team match that saw all of the Divas get some time in the ring. As I mentioned, when I saw Natalya and Tamina starting things out, I really thought this was going to be another one of those tag matches that end in one minute with all of the other Divas still on the apron. I was so sure that Tamina was quickly going to hit the Superfly Splash and it’ll all be over in a minute, but thankfully that didn’t happen. Instead we got a fun match that saw all of the Divas involved get to have a little piece of the action and it was technically sound too. No big slip-ups that people seem to always be hoping for.
Watching it back, it definitely seemed like the Divas began to win over the crowd as they were quiet for most of the match but then started getting into it around the time Kelly was tagged in. From there, the big dive to the outside and Beth’s victory got good reactions and people seemed to be into it. It’s good to see them being able to get fans involved. Of course they’d be far more involved in these matches if WWE fleshed out the characters and made people care about these girls in the same way as past Divas, but hey, we’ve said that a million times. For what it was, it was fine.
I really enjoyed Eve’s exchange with Beth in this match. I recall seeing some of her FCW matches a few years ago and then seeing her fluidity in this match — from rolling over Beth’s back, the little kick thing she does etc. She’s come very far. I liken it to how I felt about Michelle McCool but on a lesser scale. With Michelle, her transformation in the ring was incredible to me and I enjoyed watching her wrestle perhaps more than any other Diva because of that reason. Watching Eve now, where she’s gotten very comfortable in the ring and has all of these unique moves that look great, it’s similar.
I also liked Alicia’s splits/arm drag combo, Kelly’s dive and the finish. I hope that poor Bella didn’t wake up with a hand print on her today!
Match Rating: 4/5
Also at the Royal Rumble, we got to see the surprise return of Kharma, who entered the Royal Rumble match at #21 and quickly made an impression.
Watch below:
As doofus Michael Cole (seriously, what a waste of an entry!) stands in the ring awaiting the next Rumble entrant, Kharma’s long dormant music hits after over 8 months of not hearing it and receives a huge pop from the crowd. Michael Cole looks understandably scared as Kharma hits the ring and clotheslines him. Cole jumps over the top rope to avoid any more of Kharma’s assault but as he’s standing on the other side of the apron, Jerry Lawler and Booker T give their announcing partner some payback by pulling him off the apron thus eliminating him from the Rumble.
As Kharma turns around, the gorgeous Dolph Ziggler awaits telling her to get out of the ring. Clearly, our Prince Charming doesn’t want to battle her and is giving her the opportunity to leave on her own. How chivalric! Of course, the Diva Killer is not going to back down from a fight be it man, woman or beast! Kharma delivers her first Implant Buster in many, many months and the distinct honor goes to Dolph!
Next, Kharma eliminates Hunico (who?) before unfortunately being eliminated herself by Dolph. Still, it was fun while it lasted!
Thoughts: I was not expecting Kharma to show up at all, but what an epic surprise. I figured Kharma would be in the Rumble match one of these years but given the close proximity between her pregnancy (assuming she gave birth recently) and the Rumble match, I didn’t think she’d be ready in time for this year’s Rumble. However, anything can happen in wrestling, as they say!
As for what this could mean for the future, that remains to be seen. I don’t want to speculate too much but I’m assuming Kharma had her baby recently and isn’t necessarily ready to be back full time. I’m guessing this could have just been a one off appearance to have her in the Rumble match and she’ll be back full time in a few months after maternity leave. Of course, I could be wrong and she could be back on Raw tonight, but we’ll see. I’m of the mind it was just a one off for now. Either way, it was an epic moment and it shows that despite being away for so long, the fans have not forgotten Kharma and she is just as much of a star attraction as ever.

I’m actually surprised at myself for not figuring it out. I was wondering why WWE kept stressing the fact that Beth and Chyna were in Royal Rumble. But the thought of Kharma coming back to be in the Royal Rumble never crossed my mind. They were dropping hints the entire time!!!!! *slaps self in the face* lol
Yeah, I’m guessing she was back a bit early to make her Rumble appearance. i can’t help but think it would be longer if she was in proper ring shape. As it is, I can’t imagine she’s completely healed and back in shape from the birth.

It depends on the person really. If she had an all natural, uncomplicated birth with few stitches, she could be fine. I was back in my pre-preggo jeans and jogging just a few days after giving birth to my oldest and youngest daughters! The only time I took a little while longer healing was with my middle daughter, which had a few complications.
She announced her pregnancy at the end of May and chances are her first trimester was over, meaning she was probably due in the beginning of December. When she made that video teasing her return, she had likely already given birth. Even a C-section only takes 6 weeks to heal and if she continued light weight training and excercise up until 32 weeks like most doctors recommend, she would be fine to compete in that minimal capacity and in the odd squash match.
I thought the diva’s tag match was pretty good. They were given a decent amount of time and it pretty much was botch free, at least from what I could tell. As for Kharma returning?!?! I haven’t marked out that much since Lita first came back after neck surgery! lol I hope she is back full time but even if she isn’t back full time just yet WWE saw first hand how big a star they have on their hands with her. The way the crowd erupted for her when her music hit was amazing!
This was actually a 8-Diva Tag Team Match I wanted to see only Tamina was suppose to be a heel. I enjoyed it much less Im glad everyone got time to shine and Eve & Alicia stood out the most. They are so talented but still dosent get enough time accept for PPV’s to really breakout. Oh well though..
Last night some people were saying Beth gave Natalya a dirty look when she hugged her when clearly she didnt. Beth didnt even look at Natalya when she hugged her. Nattie hugged beth she then stepped back to grab her title and left the ring. I didnt see any tension.
Something told be to watch the rumble match I wasnt going to at 1st to be honest and also I thought Chyna was going to come out lol. Seriously I did because you never know in the rumble but kharma threw me off. When her music hit my jaw dropped i for sure it was going to be a imposter but surprise surprise it was actually her. She must have had her baby late last month , congrats to her though. All though we cant know if she is back for sure until tonight The Rumble is just a one apperance thing so she may return full time later this year but who knows we will have to see.
If Kharma Was Entrant # 21 Chyna Was # 30 Then Why Beth Was # 6 @ The 2010 Royal Rumble

Beth was actually Entry number #7 in 2010
Eve and the Bellas continue to impress me. While they aren’t the best on the roster by a long shot, you can see they are continuing to improve their characters and their in ring performances. I think if they get more in ring time and backstage vignettes, you’re going to see some better performances from them.
Also, am I the only one who thinks that Beth vs Kharma right this second would be just too soon? This is a $$$ feud! I for one want to see it drag out a little bit. Besides, Kharma has unfinished bidness with the Bella Twins before she should even be looking Beth’s way. Build a mini feud with Beth & the Bellas, with them deciding that they want the butterfly to impress a returning ADR, and have Nikki take the strap from Beth after some botched interference from Natalya. The Bellas celebrate with their shiny new belt only to hear the Kharma theme! You have the Bellas continue to duck Kharma until she wins a #1 contender’s spot and then Kharma has the chance to face her bullies @ Wrestlemania while DoD implode in a secondary storyline where Beth blames Natalya for her loss and Natalya grows more resentful by the second for Beth’s month long disappearance and her continued embarassment. Kharma takes the belt from the Bellas and has her Wrestlemania moment of winning the title with her baby @ ringside to watch Mama win (even though the tot won’t give a crap, it would mean alot to Kia Stevens I’m sure) and THEN have the slow burning feud between Beth and Kharma, with alot of near misses in tag matches and backstage staredowns until Summerslam, where the fans are now geeked for Kharma vs Beth instead of just “Meh.”

I get what you’re saying but come on, Beth vs Kharma is a Wrestlemania worthy match. I’m not saying Beth and Nattie isnt cuz we know they’ll put on a clinic, but I think people have been DYING to see Beth vs Kharma at WM. And I think the Bella unfinished storyline can be quickly ended. Like have Kharma feud with them up to Elimination Chamber and Kharma becomes #1 contender then. You can even add Nattie in there. From there we all will FINALLY get Kharma vs Beth. And on a side note, thanks for clearing everything with the pregnancy up! I really hope you’re right :D
Eve had an amazing backstage segment with Zack and John Lau(I dont know I to write the rest of the name) and received a good pop, and was involved in Kane´s attack to Zack and John and it isnt part of the review????
And I hope Kelly stops using that attire!
And I´m so happy that Kharma made part of the RR, lets see whats next for her.

Exactly. I was just about to write that. I guess Kharma coming back was like the most glorified diva moment. WRONG.
While yes, kharma coming back was amzing to see, eve had a better night than all the other divas who name is not kharma. Why not add that to the review? She is a diva. Even though she is in the big leauge with the men for a while her segments last night were worth reviewing as well

They recently often left out segments on DD so I’m not surprised. :p
Was starting to thing its because they were Aksana and Kaitlyn segments that got left out, it was because they dont care as much about these two but leaving out Eves now aswell proved me wrong I guess. :p

you guys are both more then welcome to create a site and review them as yourselves, stop complaining and enjoy the fact that we got a review at all, remember this is a free site no one is paying the diva dirt staff to write up any reviews. if they missed a couple segment it probably means they didn’t have time to include it, or they just missed it we’re all humans, the eve segment can easily be looked up on youtube anyways.

Its called being fair. So dont tell us to stop complaining. If we come to a diva site dedicated to divas, we expect all the divas who had moments at not just the rumble but raw and smackdown as well to be reviewed. So please dont start with that complaining crap, cause thats all the internet is. Complaints

Fair, really?, so tell me is it fair for someone to spent an x amount of time and effort out of their day to bring a recap for those who haven’t or have and want to see it again but only to see someone say “oh you missed this, and why didn’t you add that”, like i said make your own site and see how easy it is for yourself, if you don’t like it go to some other site, no one is forcing you to visit this one. So Melanie missed one segment that was like a minute and a haft tops you can go to youtube and watch it again if you like. Its called being grateful and not nitpicking. please save me the excuse that the internet is all about complaints therefore it gives you a right to do so, because it just makes you look bad.

@Gailkimfan09e
they didn’t “missed” anything, they just didn’t included them by cause.
I didn’t complained about it, I replied about the fact that they kept doing this the last few months when it comes to certain divas which in my opinion its not OK when you first preach to everyone about supporting the divas no matter what, but leaving some of them out because you don’t feel their segments were “important”.
I assure you that if Maxine were involved in anything (even if it would be a segment she is just walking around), it would be immediately featured.
Of course it’s their site and I greatly appreaciate the time and effort they are putting into it.
Also stated it several times in my comments as also in private when I was sending them links to shows, interviews, houseshows and other.
They never included/featured several of the things I sent them either but I din’t complain about it.
All I’m saying is that in recent months, it looks as if their favorites are featured more while others are getting more and more left out which doesn’t connect to Melanies sentence “we need to support all divas” on her article at the end of the year.

@RAEKON
i get what you mean but its only been two segments that have been “cut” in which one of them involved Aksana saying something to teddy, thats it, i highly doubt that its a call for concern, i’m a huge fan of Eve but even ill admit that last night the divas match and Kharma return were the bigger story, sure Eve had an amazing backstage segment but like i said its only lasted a minute and a haft which could of easily been summed up in 2 sentences. i understand that it feels like some divas aren’t being reviewed on this site, but to be honest its really hard to review a 2 second segment that has a diva talking backstage with a superstar(s) without us really knowing what there saying.

@GailKimFan09E
In one of the segments Aksana showed interest for Cody Rhodes, in a other one she was involved behind the scenes and gave heelish vibes before she turned back to being funny.
Last weeks Smackdown had continuation in AJs storyline with Kaitlyn being featured twice (once with daniel and afterwards with big show).
Rosa had another segment on the titantron before her tag teams match aswell.
Yes you are right that Eves part wasn’t as big as Kharmas RR appearance(which I swear I’m gonna fly over to the US and kick vince booty if she doesn’t win the moment of the year for 2012! :p ) or the match itself.
However, Eves segment at the royal rumble had continuation when it comes to her story with ryder, kane and cena too.
So it was important to her storyline which was already featured here before.
Don’t mind much cause as you said we can watch the clips wereelse (watching everything wereelse up front and coming here after anyway), just explaining my point of view when it comes down to supporting all female wrestlers. :)
There is 2 words in french to describe the match : “minimum syndical”.
Basically nothing to be much excited about, but nothing to be mad.
Glad Kharma was on the rumble.
I Apologize for giving the match a one yesterday before seeing it, it was really good, BUT. If RAW doesn’t deliver tonight with the divas and the fact that Kharma is back , then i just dont know if there should even be a division anymore. WWE would have to be stupid to not capitalize on what was given last night
Im sorry. i think im in a minority when I say that beth vs kharma is not what I want to see. Nattie vs Kharma yes, but beth… Hell no. She has been getting her ass handed to her for months as well as nattie and acting like a damn fool with this whole cry thing, now when kharma comes back she wants to act all serious. Whoever in their right mind thinks that beth will beat kharma is sadly mistaking. The only reason i will watch Wrestlemania is to see the end of beth’s push. *Rant over
So match was good. All did good so cant complain. Eve and kharma were the star divas of the night. Kharma with her implant buster on dolph and just being in the rumble, and eve getting character development and being the only diva besides aj in a storyling that is intersting. I enjoyed the rumble so thumbs up wwe
BTW, who are those two cholo looking dudes, where did they come from. Who is actually on the roster these days, if its not the main event wrestlers, everybody else is just random

The tag team champions are Primo and Epico, and they were eliminated long before then. Hunico is on Smckdown and the guy with him is his bodyguard, Camacho(FCW’s Donny Marlow)
So Kharma Is A Face, She Attacked Dolph Ziggler And Cole, Two Heels, So I Mean She Is Face And She Throw Epico Out, Both Heel, Hope We Get Beth Vs Kharma Vs Natalya, And In RAW Today, Hope Kharma KILLS! The Bellas, She Made A Promise And I Know She Is Gonna Do It!
EAT HIM LIKE A PIECE OF CHICKEN.
Good 8 Diva tag I’m glad we got some Divas action tonight, I was actually waiting in anticipation during the Rumble to hear the music of Beth or Natalya, but I was marking the hell out when I heard Kharma’s music, welcome back Kharma (hopefully)
A awesome night for the divas!
They were featured allover the place and that in such a big ppv. :)
That can only mean good things for the division and I hope it stays that way from now on so the girls can have the time to develop their characters and feuds/storylines while having good 5 minutes or longer matches cause these 30 sec to 2 minutes matches where one of the main reasons why people stopped to care at all.
Was SO happy to see that Kharma was back and most of all to take her hands on cole that she was hot on to get her hands one after the segment with layla last year. ^_^
Also huge kudos to the lovely Nick (dolph ziggler) for putting her more over by getting the implant buster from her. :)
He and Punk are one of the unfortunately very few that are trying to help the womens division if they get the chance and don’t mind to get such bumps from and for a woman (they both did in the houseshows by taking the glam slam :) ).
Also good progression through the divas match by showing Beth being finally a credible and very aggressive Champion that doesn’t give a crap if a diva is a face or heel!
If you get in her way, you get nailed and thats the way to go! :)
Nattie got to get her hands on Tamina aswell and the Bellas also seem to get worried a little bit after they got at first planted on the mat by Beth on superstars and treated like crap in the PPV by her aswell. ^_^
Good stuff!

The Bellas tweeted their fear in Kharma’s return so there’s some continuity there as well! Perhaps the Divas are looking up.
I think there was a lot more that was supposed to happen over the last few weeks but didn’t because of injuries. Nikki & Brie were heading to the main event with ADR but he got hurt. Beth’s eye/cheekbone injury was obviously more serious than we all thought. I mean, I thought it was just a bruise but there could have been a fractured orbital bone or something like that preventing her from competing. Eve & Zack are progressing nicely. I’m not making excuses for TPTB but it seems like there were alot of storylines centred around Kharma’s return that got halted due to injury.

Actually, Beth had been competing at house shows the last few weeks.
Overall, a good night for the divas. That 8 diva tag was the best diva match in a while, plus Kharma returning was 1 of 3 or 4 markout moments I had during the Rumble(the other’s being Ricardo & Road Dogg, plus the Socko vs. Cobra bit was good).

I gotta give Dolph some credit for making Kharma’s return a must see and I want to see more Superstars support the women’s division just like everyone else whose supports it.
I was annoyed being told by announcers how distraught Eve is but she’s out there smiling shaking her ass. You can still wrestle the match and play distraught it’s been done before so no excuses. The crowd really didn’t react much and that’s a problem. The head scissors move was again botched by letting go of one of Kelly’s legs to quickly. All her screaming is getting on my nerves and it distracts from the match. It was an ok match for what it was.
As for Kharma I think she looked good but they didn’t mention if she was back. One thing I didn’t like was her going after Dolph Ziggler. He’s a former world champion, has taken Cena,Orton and Punk to there limits. Having her so easily man handle someone like that says to me what chance does a diva have. Sure Beth and Nattie could realistically give her a believable challenge but the rest imo can’t.
kharma vs dolph zigler monday night raw kkkkkkkkkk
Another thing I wanted to mention was Eve. Her acting is bad but what was funny was Cena getting booed for making the save from Kane. It’s bad when fans want your 2nd “top” face attacked by a man. A person on another board make a good comparison calling her Michelle McCool. Good in the ring but zero connection with the fans. Michelle and Eve have been given chance after chance to connect yet they don’t. Eve got mic time against Miz,involved in a storyline with Ryder and Cena yet still she gets crickets. McCool was turned heel and people still didn’t care so I don’t know if that would help Eve. I personally feel some people have a personality that bursts out and embraces the crowds others are just duds.

Eve is in the middle of this storyline with cena and zack. Her promo with miz was a one off deal and then she dissapeared. How is that chance after chance? And in case you didnt notice no diva besides kelly and kharma got a reaction, and when eve went off on john she got a reaction.
And who wouldnt get mad at cena for making the save? I did. People want change. Seeing eve get chokeslamed or tombstoned would have been another amaing moment to add to the rumble. O and p.s. not every crowd will b the same. The night kane went after eve after choke slamming ryder, there was a huge reactiong like dont do it. It wasnt necessarily a boo chant, but like a shock and aawww reaction.

i think the problem with eve is character development, actually its with a lot of divas, they dont have “that” character to make em stand out.
maryse got reaction as she had her own character, vickie has her own and she gets booed outta the building!
with michelle, shes experimented a lot of characters but at first couldnt find the one right for her. then came laycool and she finally got her own character which helped her get better reactions.
if eve gets the proper build up and character she WILL get reactions. as long as wwe dont just slap a title on her outta the blue!

But, then there are Divas like AJ, who don’t get anywhere the amount of push or storylines, but still have a good connection with the fans. Even before her current storyline with Daniel Bryan, Aj had a pretty good connection with the fans on NXT and was one of the few Divas outside of Kelly who could get the fans invested in a Divas match.

@GL83 Aj got the chance of actually establishing herself away from the other divas, and to gain some character by being on NXT. Though you might say they dont remember, you’d be surprised. She was the girl that loved nerds, the spunky (excuse the comparison) mickie type of girl. When you have that much spunk, the crowd WILL react to instantly. Though, I do give her credit of getting the crowd involve into her matches. I myself actually cheer her, I just cant help it :D
loved RR, first im soo happy sheamus won!!!
second i marked out like crazy when kharma returned!! so glad shes back, maybe wwe will finally start to take interest in the divas division.
it is quite possible that wwe had things on hold until kharma’s return, so maybe now we could see actual storylines!
thirdly, eve had a great night, being involved with top stars like kane cena and zack could do wonders for her. and its a rare thing to see divas involved with superstars so we’re lucky to see that.
Actually when Michelle was face she got a really good reaction. She was the most popular Diva on Smackdown then. Might I remind you she won the fave Diva contest Smackdown held.

I would like to see Nikki be face because how everyone says she wrestles better then Brie.
Based on what Kharma did – giving the implant buster to dolph. I believe after she has decimated the divas division and won the championship that the WWE might turn her into a special attraction wrestler.
Kharma could easily compete in the male division like Chyna and Lita did, after she beats everyone. i mean who else has any chance of beating her in the dived division. Beth has been booked quite weak and needed the help of Natalya to win the title, and Nattie has been jobbing for months now.
finally …. Kelly can run the rope in this match (but not good) / can deliver one hand bulldog better but I didn’t see any important to use crossbody to outside ring. (Writer’s Fault)
Eve still deliver and sell move every match & she done great.
Alicia done better than last time. (Because she not use finisher?)
Tamina improve her character so much!
Bellas still not good.
This match is the little prize to DOD (atleast They won this match.)
Haha Cody Rhodes sat in the corner like Kelly Kelly
Let me start with Kharma and how surprised I am that she has returned this early because I was excepting her to return during Wrestlemania? But I don’t know where this leads to after this but hopefully this will bring more hope for the divas division. And I would be very happy to see a Diva in an intergender match because TNA isn’t giving us a real intergender match so maybe the “E” will?
As for the divas tag team match it was better then anything I’ve seen on RAW and/or SD the great part about it was it gave all the Divas a chance to be in the ring which should be done in EVERY divas tag team match since we see them soooo much. But I hate the fact that Kelly Kelly stole Eve’s thunder because we haven’t seen K2 much and we’ve seen Eve ever since her storyline with Ryder so I don’t like it at all so the WWE should buildup a new face/heel for the divas division. But I liked the match but wanted the audience to be a little involved.
I know many of you are excited by Kharma’s return last night, but let’s try to keep things in perspective. She could be used in the Diva division, but then again there aren’t that many appealing matches there. The only Divas right now, who can realistically challenge her would be Beth and Natalya. And you can only have Kharma feud with them for so long before that gets stale and boring. AJ and Naomi are also good possible choices, but the problem is those two need to be built up for the fans to realistically think they can stand a chance against her. And you can only have Kharma squash Divas for so long before it gets stale and boring after awhile. Right now, Kharma is going to be quite limited in terms of good feuds/matches for awhile.
Many non-Diva fans want Kharma in the Diva division, if for nothing else, but so she can run right through every single one of them and basically bury the entire Diva division. Which is just as bad if not worse than what the WWE have been doing the last few months.
On the otherhand, Kharma, much like Chyna is so physically imposing that she would be a believable opponent in terms of facing the men, and unlike Chyna, Kharma is very technically sound and is a very good worker. I mean, we just saw her take out Dolph Ziggler like it was nothing; the same guy who took main-eventers like John Cena, Randy Orton and CM Punk to the limits. The same guy who alongside current World Heavyweight Champion, Daniel Bryan, produced a match that tied HBK/Undertaker for the best WWE match in 2010. How are fans going to believe that any Diva can stand a chance against Kharma.
Personally, I think Kharma might be too big(no pun intended) for the Divas Division.

I agree with what you said but people are sooo desperate to see a change in the women’s division that they’ve lost hope completely in the division.

I would agree with you, but the fact of the matter is it’s not even the Divas, that are the problem. We’ve seen that when given enough time, Divas such as Beth, Natalya, Alicia Fox, AJ, Eve, Tamina, Naomi, Layla can all produce good matches. That’s more than half of the entire Diva roster, then there are Divas like Maxine, the Bellas, Kaitlyn and Kelly who can hold their own and produce decent matches as well.
Whenever I read House Show reports they all say the same thing; the person sending the report is shocked and astounded at how good the Diva matches are and are confused as to why they can’t be that good on television.
If WWE would give the current Divas 4-5 minutes on television to show their stuff and sell the storyline/match like they did back in late 2002-2008, people’s views on the Divas would be a whole lot different and we would not need to put all of our hopes on Kharma, or a returning Layla or some FCW standouts, or the NXT5(AJ, Maxine, Naomi, Kaitlyn, Aksana), etc.
The problem is not with the Divas…..the problem lies with Management and no one else.

^This. Just look at Kharma as a prime example. Time and effort was put into her debut and now return and look at how big she is. She is one of the most over stars on the roster, male or female. Hell, I’d even put her popularity up there with Sheamus, Randy Orton and CM Punk. Everyone wants to see her!
And women can’t draw, pfft.
i think it was just a one-off and she’ll return properly at WrestleMania, maybe allying herself with Beth and Natalya
Maybe the reason WWE has made Beth and Nattie look weak is an attempt to make the fans find it more believable for someone other than them to beat Kharma? Beats me..
I liked the way Beth was acting last night and to me she came off that she wasn’t on any team and was just there to get the win and had enough of it. I did get the feeling she didn’t wanna be around any of the diva’s on her team after the match.
As for Kharma it was awesome what else can I say. I was shocked and I was happy. Like everyone else I hope this is a return but if not I can wait a few more months if I have to. :)
Last night was a good night not just because Kharma returned but because we got to see every diva compete in their match and I’m hoping Beth is about to do something different.
I’m actually excited for Raw. But what if she’s not back full time?
I honestly loved RR.
If only Melina were still with the WWE. Oh, and Michelle McCool. Heck, even Maryse would’ve been awesome. We need more talented Divas to go against Kharma. If Divas like Eve & Alicia beat her, she’ll lose all credibility.

I’m not calling Maryse talented…. I’m saying that a feud with Kharma would be awesome.

Maryse was incredibly over, had a very entertaining character and her persona rocked. Looked like she had incredible potential late 2008, but then she buggered her knee, and she stopped all improvement.
if tonight is any indication of the divas future, then im very much looking foward to this year for the divas.

Me too! Whether Kharma is on Raw tonight or not, at least we now know for sure she is back and my guess is she has Beth’s number. Something really tells me they are going to clash at Wrestlemania! 2012 looks like it’s going to be a banner year for the Divas!
I was at the Royal Rumble and when Kharmas music hit the WHOLE STADIUM ERUPTED !!!!!!!! People around me (including me) went CRAZY !!!! It was a hi light of the night !!! The divas match was really good but I’m pretty sure I was like the only one cheering so yahhh… Awkward.

How did Kharma look?
It was agood night for the divas. i wish that when Kharma returns full time, she will feud with dolph and vickie. Imagine Vickie and Kharma doing segment together. It could bring heat!
I loved Kharma’s return and I loved the divas match. Last night was all around good.
Let me first start off by saying… ROAD TO WRESTLEMANIA BABYY!!!!!!!! Gawd, I love this time of year :D
Lets get to biddness.
The TagMatch- Very Very good. I was rather surprised by how good it was or I just enjoyed it alot. All the divas performed their moves well. Eve did awesome, alicia & the bellas did too. But honestly, Kelly stood out the most for me in that match. The first move she did, when she got in, left my jaw opened. I really liked her last night. Even her rope running seemed to be smoother and better. Another who stood out for me, beth. Not exactly her wrestling, but her ” I’ll break a b*tch” attitude. When natalya went to hug her at the end, I couldnt help to see some tension >:o .
TheBigShock- Honestly, to me, words cant describe how much I jumped, screamed, smiled, and just marked out! Not in a MILLION years, would I ever thought that ms.kia stevens would enter the rumble. I mean, if anything I was expecting it to happen next year. So I was rather speechless.
I really, REALLLY hope that last night, was a preview of things to come this year. Because if it is, we could see the division rise up again.
Also ziggler, there is a reason why he is my absolute favorite. In one night, he took punk to the limit and put over a female. That deserves alot of respect from me. I hope he stays on the main event scene for the rest of his carreer, the guy deserves it.
Overall last night was just what I call a 5star ppv. I totally loved it. Keep it going ladies :D

Massive amount of props to Dolph Ziggler! What a class act he is. I said this in another comment last night, but not a lot of guys (especially a top tier guy like himself) would be willing to take a finisher from a female because they don’t want to hurt their egos. Dolph Ziggler is rare breed and his future is bright as ever. I had so much respect for him before, but now I have even more than ever! He’s just amazing!

Oh you and me both. Like somebody else said, He and punk ( along with other guys ) are actually willing to do something for the womens division. They see the potential the girls have to be stars and you can tell they want to see them succeed. About ziggler though, this guy has everything going for him. He’s just, like you said, amazing. I can tell from now that by the time he retires, he will be a very decorated, successful wrestler. I love this guy.
No review for Eve’s appearence backstage and back in the ring with Ryder, Kane and Cena??? I thought Eve did great! Shes getting alot better in her segments and I can’t wait to see more.
Nice match! Kelly mad proud of how perfect her cross body to the outside it was! Plus she looked fearless! Mad respect from Me Kelly!! I guess ur not just a bimbo after all =)
Meanwhile Kharma!! AWESOME KONG!!!!!!! DAMN!!! Best few minutes EVER!!!!
Awesome night hope this leads up to Wrestlemania!
for those who want Kharma to steamrolling trough the Divas division i only say this:you´re for sure in the wrong site.
In the rumble match i was expecting that after Kharma i would hear Beth´s music and we would see the beginning of the clash of the titans, but i guess is was too early.besides Kharma has unfinished business with the Bellas as we all know.
She lookin at him like he a chicken bone!! She figgin to eat!!! LMAO Booker T’s comments just crack me up!!
I don’t understand why K2 crushed her team mates as well from that diving cross body, lol.
Oh yeahhhh. Cherry was soooo much popular. If that was the case then why did WWE put Cherry in Michelle’s fued? So Michelle could get a reaction and become popular. Yeah thats it. Sarcasm intended.
Props for Dolph Ziggler for taking a Divas finisher.
According to Wikipedia, Kharma had her baby on New Years Eve( Dec. 31st).
As far as what happens in the future, I think I agree with former WWE Diva Maria. She said on Afterbuzz TV that she thinks a Beth Phoenix vs Kharma feud would be great, and to have the divas choose sides. They could join Beth, the superhero(or villain) Wonder Woman. Or they could join Kharma, the warrior Goddess. I think having the divas choose sides would be a better way to go, that way they aren’t just using her to just destroy the divas, something predictable.
