In Video: Tate vs Rousey Fight Highlights
Showtime has released highlights from last night’s epic Miesha Tate vs Ronda Rousey title fight.
As reported, Rousey defeated Tate in the first round with just seconds to spare after applying her infamous armbar submission and forcing Tate to tap.

Part of me says “one trick pony”, while the other says “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it”. Can’t wait to see Sarah and Ronda go at it.

Stop it then…..Miesha knew what she wanted to do. Everyone in the arena knew what she wanted to do….and Miesha was powerless to stop it.
Ronda could have won by stoppage if she wanted to. She had Miesha’s back and could have just rained down punches and the ref would have had to step in….but Ronda gave up dominant position to go for the armbar finish. 8 people, counting amateurs, 8 1st round armbars.
THey question the level of competition, and then she did the same thing to the 135 world champ….come on.

Noo!! Well, I’m not that bothered but I’m not sure if I really anted Ronda to win. I want someone to give her a good beating. I mean brutal. A hard toss of humble pie will do her good.

Ronda did talk a lot but she’s a good girl. I watched her on the Joe Rogan podcast and she seemed cool. She’s an Olympic medalist and she has confidence from competing at a high level for so long. Her talking was meant to get her the fight she wanted and she succeeded. She also backed up her talk. She’s a hot chick that can legitimately kick ass. And I don’t think her trash talking was disrespectful. She’s good for women’s MMA and good for the sport in general. Her win has solidified her as a female MMA superstar.
