Diva Dirt is back with another fix of news, notes and tidbits in the world of women’s wrestling. Check it out below:
Announcements are almost coming daily now – the team of Melanie Cruise and Mena Libra is next to be added to the talent list for SHIMMER’s tapings to be held March 17 and 18.
Cruise and Libra joined forces at the last set of SHIMMER tapings, and made their presence known on Volume 41 by attacking the debuting Hailey Hatred and Kalamity. Cruise and Libra emerged victorious in the tag team bout against them which followed on Volume 42, demonstrating that they are a powerful force not to be messed with in the SHIMMER tag team division.
With talent still to be announced, who would you all like to see?
Dave Prazak has confirmed that “Ayumi, Ayako, Ray, Leon, and Kana are the 5 joshis for this set of shows” as Tomoka and Hiroyo both have shows in Japan that weekend, or earlier that week, that with the time difference and travel required, wouldn’t have allowed them to make the shows.

Check out results from Ice Ribbon’s New Aisuhiro #372, held on March 5 at the Warabi Dojo.
* Hiroyo Matsumoto def. Sayaka Obihiro (5:43)
* Manami Toyota and Kurumi def. Tsukasa Fujimoto and Maki Narumiya (11:55)
* Leon def. Miyako Matsumoto (6:49)
* Hikaru Shida def. Dorami Nagano (11:04)
Toyota and Kurumi teamed up ahead of their big International Ribbon Tag Team Title match on March 20 at Korakuen Hall – and won! If their wrestling skills weren’t enough, this victory is bound to make them look like even more of a legitimate threat to Fujimoto and Tsukushi.

Cherry Bomb defeated Seleziya Sparx, Gabriella Vanderpool and Xandra Bale in a competitive fatal four way match for Squared Circle Wrestling’s “CHIKARA Invades” event held on March 3rd.
Speaking of CHIKARA, it’s been announced that Sara Del Rey will take on Leah Von Dutch for their “It’s How You Play The Game” event on March 25th in Ottawa, Ontario. This is a huge opportunity for Von Dutch, who only debuted in wrestling a little over a year ago.
The PWWA tournament that was announced at the end of February will be spread out over upcoming PWA Australia shows and will now crown a new PWWA Interim Champion in Madison Eagles’ absence. A DVD will canvas all tournament matches, but won’t be released until after the tournament is over.
Already signed for the tournament are Jessie McKay and Kellie Skater, whom are both former PWWA Champions themselves (and whom will both be returning from overseas tours), and NZPWI’s Best Female for 2011, Evie.
We’ll hazard a guess that Shazza McKenzie and K.C Cassidy are likely contenders for the title as well.

Beth Phoenix is the latest Diva to write a blog for Perez Hilton’s fitness website, FitPerez.com.
When I look around the locker room at all of the WWE Divas, I definitely would call myself unique. However, just like a great number of men and women that struggle to get and remain fit, I have to work very hard to be strong and lean. The very same qualities that have earned me the moniker, “Glamazon” have given me the drive to strive for a better body. The following blog is about building a stronger YOU. I am not a body builder or powerlifter, nor have I ever been. I am a strong natural athlete that has learned through experience (trial and error) that absolutely ANYONE can build the strength and confidence to become a better version of themselves.
Check out Beth’s blog here.
Kelly Kelly answered some of the WWE Universe’s questions about health, fitness and dieting at the end of February.
That’s the news for now. Which tidbits have got you talking? Tell us in the comments…

Melanie Cruise! Definitely excited to see her back to SHIMMER
Disappointed Hiroyo Matsumoto isn’t going to be there :( She’s one of my favorite wrestlers and is hot
Definitely want to see SDR vs Leah Von Dutch, who should definitely pick up a few things while being murdered ;P
I’d like to see Evie someday in SHIMMER

Wow! Just my opinion but I don’t think that Beth Phoenix looks as amazing as she does in that picture in her ring gear. I just don’t think her ring get up shows what an amazingly beautiful woman she really is. That pic of her is truly inspiring.

Good to know Cruise & Libre will be brought back in. Big fan of both.
Leah should learn A LOT from being in the ring with someone like Sara Del Rey.
Probably a smart move by PWWA, it does make me sad to think Eagles may truly be out for a while (or possibly forever). On a birghter note, I’m picking Kellie Skater or Evie to win this. Don’t really think someone like Jessie McKay or Shazza really needs it & it’d be a nice reward for Skater or Evie. Speaking of Evie, I want to see more of her! Especially in the U.S, she’s amazing.
Beth has a fantastic body! Definitely a body i’d want to have! Those abs look incredible…
And yes I’m incredibly sad that Matsumoto & Nakagawa aren’t being brought back as both are brilliant. However this does leave room for debuting talent like Ray & Leon. I’ll miss the greatness both Tomoka & Hiroyo brought though. And too bad about Ohka not being back either, after seeing her matches with Del Rey & Courtney Rush I can surely say she’s an awesome performer.
