Here’s the segment that aired on Extra yesterday which saw Divas Champion Beth Phoenix and Eve Torres crash host Maria Menounos‘ interview with Kelly Kelly and challenge the duo to a match at WrestleMania 28.
The foursome will face off at ‘Mania 28 in Miami on Apriln 1st.

I am loving this! Despite people not being happy with maria in the match it is a storyline progression if you think about it! She first appeared in 2009 & its 2012 and beth is still feuding with her! It would be perfect to end the little rivalry at WM and build kelly vs eve as well! I just hope they give them decent time in the ring and maybe have maria wrestle a little bit and take bumps as well.

and I really hope that Beth wins here.. she can’t be pinned by Maria, if they want to make her a challenger for Kharma.. she just CAN’T =/

I feel like maybe since maria is doing dancing with the stars they can “kayfabe” say that beth or eve attacked maria and then they replace her with natalya. On superstars yesterday they did say on commentary how when they asked nattie about who would win a beth vs nattie match for the title nattie said “although beth is a sister to me i would win” so maybe its a tease of nattie and kelly vs beth and eve.

But you gotta check this out, Nattie also said that she considers Beth her sister. So putting Nattie against Beth randomly wouldn’t make any sense.

Am I the only one who thought this segment was horrible….I mean sheesh I know its fake but they really made it seem FAKE! There was no type of realness in this video. Im Just Saying ! *Kanye shrugs*
Anyways to be really i dont really care about this match at least the divas are on the card. I cant wait to see what smashing bad ass outfits Eve & Beth are gonna wear.

AJ is still going to be in the D-Bryan storyline. She will be at WM for the World title match. She won’t get a title shot until WM is over and she dumps D-Bryan in front of the whole Miami crowd.

it was soo horrible that i was laughing all the way through it lol but i like the match that they have set up it isnt the worst match (wrestlemania 23 melina vs ashley is the worst wrestlemania match ever) but i know it aint going to be the best it is going to be ok with kelly in the ring for the majority of the match then maria comes in for the pin but hey we should be grateful they are making the show

The only thing I liked about the segment was Eve and Beth’s partnership. This feud clearly isn’t going anywhere. Do one thing, Maria. If you love the WWE so much, and want to be part of every single freakin PPVs or special events, why don’t you become a permanent WWE diva, since you LOVE the WWE so much. (sarcasm)
I never liked feuds involving useless celebritties, and I will never like them. I know the obvious results of this match. But as I am a devoted women’s wrestling fan, I will still watch the match.

They had Snooki cleanly go over their top Diva last year at Wrestlemania and I wouldn’t even consider Beth Phoenix in the same league as Michelle McCool was booked, so when Maria Menounothingy wins via the deadly roll up, I won’t be one of the many petulant women’s wrestling libbers burning effigies in the street over this bewildering admonishment of real talent.
Besides, when the Beth Phoenix and Kharma feud kickstarts, Maria will be just as long forgotten as the fact Eve was a two time Divas Champion before becoming a relevant player in the division.

You’re right. Eve was Divas Champion last year and where was she? Oh, that’s right. Relegated to a backstage segment on the biggest wrestling extravaganza of the year. Meanwhile Michelle, unlike Beth before and since becoming Divas Champion, was consistent with her TV presence and not inconsistently booked in the ring.
And how does putting Maria Menowhatchucallher justify as the “competition” Beth has bemoaning the lack of within her division? If anything, doesn’t a non-wrestler celebrity beating her ruin her own legitimacy as the dominant champion?
But yeah, I’m sure all four girls will look really pretty. That’s what really counts, just ask Alicia.

Yes. I would love to see eve and beth matching come mania. They have good chemistry together and in the video it looked as if they were having alot of fun after being carried off. Im thinking black and white attire, red attire, or something that has never been donr by the two. And hopefully maria bust out some new gear to, but 4 sho kelly gone be glowing.

Since we’re talking attires, I think black and gold would definitely be the way to go. Beth and Eve better bring it, especially with the high bar Lay-Cool set last year and the even higher bar set by Melina at WM 24. And am I the only one that really wants to see Beth in the glam-suits again? The skirt look does absolutely nothing for me.
As for Kelly Kelly, I’d love to see her hair straight and long. I was really loving the hair-do at Survivor Series when she was a lumberjill. I’d die for something like that. I have faith in Kelly for the actual gear because Kelly always bring her A-game fashion wise.

Melina set the bar too high for these girls. Wrestlemania 24 and 23! Her attires were just simply one of the best. But I bet eve & beth will bring it. And yes, black & gold is the way to go. Those two colors together just say evil & fierce!
And if kelly will probably do something different with her hair & attire. She never disappoints. Like you said, she always brings her A-game fashion wise. That white girl can dress <3.<3

Well I am glad there will be an actual diva’s match at wrestlemania but of all the scenarios they could have done for a diva’s match this one was not on my list! lol I also feel so bad for Natalya , she has just been totally pushed to the side so Eve could take her place. I certainly am loving Eve’s new heel persona I still wish Natalya would have more of a presence then what she has had!
