Wrestling isn’t ballet, as documented this past Tuesday night at the SmackDown taping in London, England, when our favorite Queen of Harts, Natalya, was seen bleeding following her match with AJ.
And if you tuned in to last night’s SmackDown on Syfy hoping to catch a glimpse of said incident, you would have been bitterly disappointed. However, Diva Dirt TV‘s Jake Verterano has the scoop on what you didn’t see on SmackDown last night.

What I don’t get is whether or not Natalya is hell or face. On TV she acts all face but then when I went to the Sheffield house show Natalya was all heel

They called that being a tweener where a wrestler is lead towards the side of being a face or being a heel but they are not ready to be full fledge heel or face so on TV that they maybe one thing and then at houseshows that they are another thing.

She’s going towards the face side. As you could see, in the match she tried to be nice to aj, then aj snapped.

In houseshows they are randomly changing them to heels or faces depending on whats needed.

I saw a little of the blood during the match but not that much. Anyways, Im glad nattie is okay. With the blood issue aside, the whole segment went perfect in my eyes.

Too bad they really couldn’t just show it. While I don’t think everyone should bleed all the time, sometimes it can add to the drama. But before everyone cries about them not showing the blood and saying it was just because it’s the divas, remember that they had to try to completely cut around Cody Rhodes’ bloody face when Randy busted him him up with the ring bell and they actually stopped Mysterio and Punk’s match on a ppv to try to clean up Punk.

It’s not surprising they didn’t show it. They rarely show blood on TV.
The thing that bothers me the most is how Nattie has seemingly taken Jillian’s role as the jobber who gets gimmicks that won’t be taken seriously. It’s a shame because she’s extremely talented.
I’m happy to see AJ getting a push. But I would have rather seen her go over someone else.

i agree completely, its fustrating as a fan of the divison to see some of its most talented women come in teh doors and over the course of their career be stripped down from solid wrestlers to gimmick wrestlers serving meerly as comedy. 1st molly holly, then victoria, then jillian, now nattie?? poor nattie. i know its a accident but why pick her. couldnt foxy come back from her holiday to get a slapping down instead or maybe aksana?. its unbelivable that aj can take down a powerhouse like natalya. wwe need to make it up to her for making her bleed – i bet they dont feel so good about that angle when they saw blood.

Actually, it’s not so unbelievable. For starters, the slap surprised Nattie. That caused Natalya to let down her guard. Then the adrenaline rush from AJ’s pent up rage is added to the mix. Adrenaline can help people do things that they normally would have trouble doing. Plus, AJ accidentally connected with one of those shots, which made Nattie bleed. That should be enough to show that it’s very possible for AJ to take Natalya down.
But, I don’t think Natalya can be hurt any worse than the infamous farting gimmick.
