Bella Twins Officially Gone from WWE

WWE.com is reporting that the Bella Twins, Brie and Nikki, have been “fired” from WWE.

In reality, as reported a few weeks ago, the twins’ contracts expire today — April 30th — and they’ve opted not to renew.

Stay tuned for more.

Hey, sorry they lost their job, but they’ll be fine without WWE.

I’m glad to see non wrestlers who don’t care about wrestling leave WWE :)

        Because
        1. They would have gotten real training and experience before going on WWE TV.
        2. They would have become better wrestlers. They’re horrible.
        3. They would continue wrestling after being fired. That’s not going to happen.
        4. They’re models who are just looking for a payday.

        • adifferentsame

          May 1, 2012 at 4:17 am

There is absolutely no way you can provide legitimacy to your 3rd and 4th “reasons” because such is the nature of presmuption. You cannot guarantee that from now and until the Bella twins cease to exist that they will never wrestle again.

Your narrow minded vision induces headaches, so I will debate with you no further.

        • KellyKellyAJFan

          May 1, 2012 at 4:20 am

          1) You don’t necessarily have to get real training and experience before going on TV to prove you care about Wrestling.
          2) You can care about wrestling and not necessarily be the best at it. Just as someone can care and be a fan of basketball, but not be good at it.
          3) They weren’t fired. They quit. And, you don’t have to continue a wrestling career after leaving to prove you care about wrestling. I don’t remember Trish nor Lita going into wrestling careers after they left. Does that mean they don’t care either?
          4) Just because they’re models don’t mean they’re looking for a “payday”

I don’t care much for the Bellas, but who are you to say they didn’t care about wrestling?

        • lbthewrestlingnerd

          May 1, 2012 at 5:00 am

While you don’t need indy experience before going on TV, you need good training and you need to care about becoming a good wrestler. If you can’t put on good matches, you don’t belong on TV.

You can care about wrestling and not be the best sure, but if you’re horrible you obviously don’t care.

They quit because they just wanted to get on TV and they got bored because they don’t care, and decided to move on.

If they cared about wrestling, they would have tried to become wrestlers before signing with WWE OR they would become good in the ring ie Layla, Naomi.

      May 1, 2012 at 4:36 am

That is the most ignorant thing I’ve ever read. I don’t know whether you’re just trolling or you really are that ignorant.
      1. I don’t have wrestling training or experience under my belt but I care about wrestling.
      2. They did become better wrestlers compared to their first day and they weren’t “horrible”.
      3. They JUST got released so who are you to say they won’t continue with it? Even if they don’t, how does that make them “not care about wrestling”?
      4. Models could look for a payday as models but they became wrestlers.

I’m sorry but when I see your icon, I immediately know it’s going to be a stupid comment.

      • EVEROCKS

        May 1, 2012 at 4:58 am

You don’t know they don’t care!!! They obviously cared about wrestling if they took all that time just to show up every monday.

      • lbthewrestlingnerd

        May 1, 2012 at 5:03 am

Oh, because my icon is someone who has talent, cares about the business, isn’t fake, and doesn’t objectify herself on my comments are stupid? THAT is a stupid comment

        1. You’re not getting in the ring
        2. Okay, they might be better, but they’re still HORRIBLE.
        3. Divas who show no passion for the business never continue to wrestle
        4. They became sad excuses for wrestlers, they can’t put on even a decent match.

        • lbthewrestlingnerd

      1. That isn’t an indication of not caring about wrestling. Caring about wrestling isn’t controlled by how good you are. You could be the absolute worst worker on the planet and still care about wrestling. You also don’t have any idea what their training is. You know what you read on dirt sheets and what you hear from word of mouth but in all reality you don’t know what they do, how they train, how they learn, or their level of caring and it’s a real ahole move to pretend you do.
      2. You consider them horrible and that’s fine but your personal opinion on their talent level doesn’t actually confirm or deny if they care about something.
      3. Someone already pointed it out and you seemingly ignored it. Lita doesn’t wrestle anymore, does that mean she lacks a passion for the business? People who wrestled on the independents and retired never to wrestle again, does that mean they don’t have a passion for the business?
      4. You dislike them but you can stop pretending they’re the worst wrestlers on the roster and incapable of having a good match. More so you should actually probably pay attention to what people have said IN the business time and time again. So many legends and respected people have stated time and time again if you wrestle – even in the wwe- for just a pay check you’re never going to last. More so you wont do this for years upon years.

You don’t like them, no one is saying you have to but do yourself the favorite of not looking ignorant and cease pretending to know their mindset on the profession of wrestling.

        May 1, 2012 at 5:29 am

-They’re trained by WWE, and they’ve obviously either had very little training or took their training very lightly.
-If they REALLY cared about wrestling, they would have tried to become wrestlers before joining WWE
-People that were in the indies and retired I’m fine with because either they got injured or they wanted to move on or realized wrestling wasn’t right for them and moved on quickly (not sitting around for years and years) BUT they were talented in the ring
-They’re not the worst, but they can’t have a good match.
-Exactly. People who are just in wrestling for the fame, women and/or men, money never last. That’s my issue, they’re not there because they like wrestling.
-I don’t like Lita, she’s super duper overrated
-They don’t care about improving, you can’t deny that!

        • ImGoingCrazy

          May 1, 2012 at 5:39 am

Yes I can deny it because there’s no actual proof. In high school I played basketball and there was a girl on the JV team who was HORRIFIC at basketball but she played, all four years. She never got good and by most standards she didn’t even get better. But she tired, for four years she tried.

Because she failed to get better by most peoples standards does that mean she didn’t care?

You have no idea what the Bellas care about. You have no idea what they did or how they tried.

You assume to, you want to pretend you do, but you really don’t. You don’t take up a profession that takes you away from your family for five years and makes you live on the road something that abuses your body just because you’re bored.

I too agree that Lita is overrated but your dislike of her doesn’t null the point that’s being made with her. She doesn’t wrestle anymore, your claim is if people quit wrestling after parting ways with WWE they don’t care. Dislike or not, she quit wrestling but you’d be even more ignorant to claim she doesn’t have a passion for wrestling. You don’t get to pick and choose who you want to acknowledge so that you can better made your factless point.

You are choosing to believe that because The Bellas were models before wrestlers that they automatically don’t care about wrestling. That’s a highly ignorant stance to take.

Dislike them, be happy they’re gone, but stop pretending you know anything about them.

Fired? Stay tuned for more? It doesn’t sound like a typical WWE release article, it sounds like a storyline article. I wonder if they are really gone.

    • DivaDerby

      May 1, 2012 at 3:21 am

WWE.com says to stay tuned for more details. That is odd. If they are truly gone, why say they are fired and say to “stay with WWE.com for more details.” Usually superstars/divas get a typical release article.

DAYTON, Ohio – WWE.com has learned that The Bella Twins have been fired from WWE.

The news comes just one day after Layla defeated Nikki Bella to capture the Divas Championship at Extreme Rules.

Stay with WWE.com tonight for more details as they become available.

      • SherriShepherdWWE

        May 1, 2012 at 3:29 am

exactly, the bellas was two of the weaker divas in the division, get rid of K2, Aksana, Rosa and Kait, they the division will be very solid, TALENT wise

        • Jhonmarco

          May 1, 2012 at 3:30 am

Whether you have SDR or K2 on your roster, you can’t do anything with 10 seconda matches. Understand that.

        • Jake

          May 1, 2012 at 3:38 am

If SHIMMER had 10 second matches does this make the division better because they’re great wrestlers? That doesn’t make any sense. Fans are so black and white when it comes to wrestling.

Wasting two roster spots and two paychecks for 1/2 a character and 1 person’s ability is bad.

    YES

    • Air-Bourne

      May 1, 2012 at 3:57 am

1 persons ability? Are you retarded? Nikki was the better twin but both were solid and were their own individuals.

    May 1, 2012 at 3:21 am

This seems like a storyline, not a release article.

Normally, the release articles state “blah (real name) has been released. We wish them the best in their future endeavours.”

Mariah, hopefully you read my apology on the Raw thread. Sorry for my behavior & rude comments. You guys were moreorless right with the ban.

I accept your apology. I’m not one to hold grudges or anything, so I’m over it. Sucks it had to go down like that, but that’s that. Nothing can be done to change it. I wish you all the best.

I appreciate that, same goes to you.

Just so this can get cleared up, would I at any time in the future or soon be able to join RV again? Or is that out of the question? Just wondering….

Ew @ some of the comments here, as long as WWE don’t give 2 shits nothing will change.

    May 1, 2012 at 3:25 am

I’m actually gonna miss them. I really liked the Bella twins. I’m happy they both got to be Divas Champions while in the WWE. Now lets get some other girls wrestling!

  24. VarsityBaseDude

    May 1, 2012 at 3:26 am

It’s a shame that they’re gone cause I started liking them somewhat. They were on TV enough for me to get to know them. At least they left on a high note… both Bellas got to hold the Divas title. Too bad they never let Gail hold it considering she was probably the best wrestler in the women division at the time. Oh well. Ciao Bella!
