WWE.com is reporting that the Bella Twins, Brie and Nikki, have been “fired” from WWE.
In reality, as reported a few weeks ago, the twins’ contracts expire today — April 30th — and they’ve opted not to renew.
Stay tuned for more.

It’s a shame that they’re gone cause I started liking them somewhat. They were on TV enough for me to get to know them. At least they left on a high note… both Bellas got to hold the Divas title. Too bad they never let Gail hold it considering she was probably the best wrestler in the women division at the time. Oh well.
LOL they even joked about their ‘release’. It’s a storyline. Don’t celebrate too soon.
There could still be hope maybe this is Kayfabe….*fingers crossed*
Sadly WWE still doesn’t care, so nothing will change, but maybe two new women who are better in the ring will be hired. Talented women in one minute matches are better than untalented women in one minute matches,
Air-Bourne Reply:May 1st, 2012 at
Actually no i think you’ll find it isn’t as they will also have no time to show off any talent!!

If you can’t do moves properly, can’t bump/run the ropes properly, scream in the ring, spend half your time pulling someone’s hair….. that shows enough LOL
I have mixed feelings about this. I did like Bella Twins, so it sucks they are gone. But i’m more happy because it’s 2 more reasons for me not to watch WWE. I hate WWE so much, i am just waiting for Eve, Kelly, Beth, Natalya & Alicia to be gone, then WWE has lost me a viewer.
there’s the door! there are people that don’t like people like me saying that but sorry, this is a good thing. layla as champ is a good thing for the moment. just let the next diva championship opponent be a good wrestler like a kharma or a beth or a nattie so we can see layla’s new improvement really put to the test.

It’s not a storyline, stop. It was said they were going to be released weeks ago and apparently, it’s true. Let it go, they’re gone! NO STORYLINE HERE!
Immature but just like the others ….YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES! They’ll probably get another job in modeling and they make money during appearances as well so they’ll be fine.
Please don’t be a storyline :(
For those saying it’s not real… They could really be gone.
If the Bellas are gone, they weren’t released like most people. THEY opted not to sign a new contract and chose to leave. People in that situation have, in the past, sometimes gotten retirement story lines (Trish, Lita, etc.) or fired story lines. Michelle got a loser leaves WWE match. Jeff Hardy and Chris Jericho both did matches where the stipulation was that they got fired if they lost. (Jericho in 2005, losing to Cena and Hardy in 2009 losing to CM Punk.) I realize that the Bellas didn’t get a ‘loser gets fired’, but they still could be exiting with a fired story line like others have done.
Well if it’s true then bye Bellas. I know I’ll miss you since you were just starting to grow on me :(
Not really sad to see them go but at the same time I think WWE missed the boat for Kharma’s return, its all well and good not wanting to put the belt on her straight away but tonight was a great chance to use her to destroy the twins on their way out. Sigh…
Never been a fan of theirs, happy to see then go but wish them te best with whatever project they decide to do next.
Lol at people thinking them being gone is going to change with the divas. It doesn’t matter which divas they have, WWE just doesn’t care.
3 things i learned from tonight’s Raw
1 – Once again it is pointless to expect something from WWE.
2 – Layla being champion isn’t going to change anything with the divas.
3 – People should get over Kharma returning. It may happen, but it’s pointless expecting her to return every match.

Keep in mind 2 things :
- You can not have a successful division if you don’t give it 5 minutes match
- You can not have a successful division if your divas can not work a five minutes match.
Steve_x Reply:May 1st, 2012 at
They can work a five minute match, if WWE gives them time. People always criticize Kelly for not being able to compete well, but when she is given time, she proves she can. WWE is to blame, not the divas.
Jake Reply:May 1st, 2012 at
Yet they have worked 10 minute matches at house shows and the girls from FCW have around 5 minute matches every week, plus longer ones at house shows.
On Twitter, Nikki said that she was gonna ask Lauranitis for a rematch. Given his mood, does anyone else think they got “fired” for bothering him?
I am so glad I won’t ever have to hear those two on the mic again.
Looking at some of these comments and seeing some say that this is part of a storyline reminds me of last week when we were discussing whether Beth’s injury was real or not
Guess we can expect a other Reader’s Poll: “Bellas’ Departure: Real or Not?” (My vote goes to Not)
This is obviously the beginning of the “Summer of The Bella Twins” storyline. But serioisly I’m going to miss these two.
I reckon there will be a WWE.com exclusive of who they pissed off to get “fired.” I would love to see them scrapping in the back and knocking JL over so he fired them or Triple H or Eve!
Immature comment; Hope its a storyline, just to see some people’s reactions.
Now mature comment; I’ll honestly miss them. Just when they were becoming favorites of mine, this happens -_-. I still hope its a storyline to see people’s reactions.
The only reason i would hope it is a storyline is because i like Bella Twins, and it would be good to have them return. However it doesn’t bother me if they do go, and it has nothing to do with them, i just want to stop watching WWE, but i’m waiting for my favorite divas to leave.
EveLover Reply:May 1st, 2012 at
I like the twins too, well I dont really dislike any divas lol. But I like the bellas to a bigger exent. This would be a good way to give them time off too. And as far as divas go, I only like 3; Eve, AJ, Layla. Those girls leave, I’ll be pretty much done.
lol yeah i don’t dislike any divas either, there are just ones i’m not interested in watching. I only really watch for the divas that were around when Melina was. Melina was the reason i started watching, so i’m now only watching because of Kelly, Eve, Alicia, Beth & Natalya.
I agree. I started watching because of mickie & melina too. But Im left with not alot of options. Eve, Layla, AJ. Im glad they’re getting spotlight at the same time though :p
Lol yeah i’m loving what they are doing with Eve right now. I just hope we get to see her wrestle again, and i’m hoping heel Eve gets to become divas champion.
as both me and my brother were watching we half expected them to go out with a bang, in similar fashion to mccool but maybe wwe didnt want to give the bellas the option of having a good send off if they rejected a new contract.
i have to admit i am not a fan of the bella twins but that interview they did with a french reporter which divadirt posted a week ago really made me smile at how well they came across in real life. i believe they are both smart and sassy and will do well without wwe. theres no point in pitying them for losing their jobs as they quit themselves they were not fired.
I’m wounder something.
Trish last match- won
Lita’s last match – lost
Mickie James last match – lost
Melina last match – lost
Maryse last match – lost
Cherry last match – lost
Maria last match – lost

Hmmm,I thinksomewon needs to go out big real soon
FrankNFurter Reply:May 1st, 2012 at
It’s going to be Kelly Kelly, she can’t put anyone over with her skills.
Melina&Mickie4ever! Reply:May 1st, 2012 at
CTFU @Frank lol
Torrie Wilson won her last match.
WWFoverWWE Reply:May 1st, 2012 at
That’s because she told management she was leaving AFTER her match. They had no idea before.
True if they did know she was leaving, she probably would have lost her match too.
perceval Reply:May 1st, 2012 at
You forgot Chyna, who won her final match.
It’s rare that ANYBODY wins their final match. Shawn Michaels, Stone Cold Steve Austin, the Rock (as a full time active member of the roster), Ric Flair… All lost their last matches, there.
norisclouds Reply:May 1st, 2012 at
It’s the norm to lose your last match and put someone over in wrestling. When that doesn’t happen it’s usually a special case (like Edge) or political reasons…and I’M NOT SAYING TRISH PLAYED POLITICS it’s well known that there were special reasons why Vince decided to have her win the title.
I don’t hold it against any wrestler to loser your last match because going out “on your back” is a time honored tradition and something that you are supposed to do and should aspire to…
Raekon Reply:May 1st, 2012 at
Gail Kim last match – lost
Ivory last match – lost
Jaqueline last match – lost
Luna last match – lost
Jazz last match – lost
Chyna last match – lost
Nidia last match – lost
Shaniqua last match – lost
Alundra last match – lost?(don’t remember that one)
Candice Michelle last match – lost
Maria last match – lost
Ashley last match – lost
Jillian last match – lost
Dawn Marie last match – lost
Every diva actually except of Trish which was “Daddy’s favorite girl” (Mc Mahon), either lost their matches or got humiliated on their way out somehow.

Chyna won her last match…it was against lita….
Choko Reply:May 1st, 2012 at
Raekon, you should of researched a little bit. lik ART said Chyna won her last match.
Shaniqua destroyed Torrie and Nidia but got DQed in her last match.
Alundra won her last match in WWE.
Nidia’s last match was the schoolgirl battle royal so I don’t know why you count that one.
I’m not sure about Luna’s last WWE match tho’ -shy face-
Raekon Reply:May 3rd, 2012 at
@Art and Choko
Yes you seem to be right about Chyna, I had in mind as her last match with a male(Val Venis) but it seems it was prior to judgement day in which she fought Lita and won.
However, should she had gotten a final match before departure, it wouldn’t had been any different and she would had gotten out with a loss.
I guess the main reason she didn’t was because she left herself.
Thanks about the info on Alundra, I posted about what I had remembered so I didn’t do any “wiki research”.
A DQ is a loss so it counts as a loss in Shaniquas case.
Nidias last match prior to the battle royal was a loss.
Lunas last singles match was vs Jaqueline in which she lost
Oh well :/
Was anyone else hoping for a Bella Twins/Funkettes match? They never seemed to have any ideas for the Bellas other than have them endlessly interfere in each others’ matches. And with virtually no women’s tag division, it’s kind of pointless to keep them around.
Nostalgia Reply:May 1st, 2012 at
I wanted that too
HeyChrissy Reply:May 1st, 2012 at
I never thought about it,but that would have been interesting.
Anyone ever stop to think Kharma didn’t return and attack the Bellas because they want to forget Kharma’s pregnancy write-off? I mean, come on, her baby died. I think all parties just want to pretend that didn’t happen and start fresh.
melon2617 Reply:May 1st, 2012 at
That’s what I’ve thought for awhile.
Kaledrina Reply:May 1st, 2012 at
there’s that.. as well as the fact that wwe remembering anything diva wise from three weeks ago let alone a year is kinda.. rare lol.
redsandman99 Reply:May 1st, 2012 at
Can’t say I blame them if that’s the case. Kharma coming in and starting a new path of destruction would work just as well quite frankly.
mariah. Reply:May 1st, 2012 at
That’s my guess. I support that decision if that’s the case then.
TheGamergirl22 Reply:May 1st, 2012 at
Yes I was thinking that too, and you know the someone in the crowed will mention it.
