WWE.com is reporting that the Bella Twins, Brie and Nikki, have been “fired” from WWE.
In reality, as reported a few weeks ago, the twins’ contracts expire today — April 30th — and they’ve opted not to renew.

It’s a shame that they’re gone cause I started liking them somewhat. They were on TV enough for me to get to know them. At least they left on a high note… both Bellas got to hold the Divas title. Too bad they never let Gail hold it considering she was probably the best wrestler in the women division at the time. Oh well.

Sadly WWE still doesn’t care, so nothing will change, but maybe two new women who are better in the ring will be hired. Talented women in one minute matches are better than untalented women in one minute matches,

For those saying it’s not real… They could really be gone.
If the Bellas are gone, they weren’t released like most people. THEY opted not to sign a new contract and chose to leave. People in that situation have, in the past, sometimes gotten retirement story lines (Trish, Lita, etc.) or fired story lines. Michelle got a loser leaves WWE match. Jeff Hardy and Chris Jericho both did matches where the stipulation was that they got fired if they lost. (Jericho in 2005, losing to Cena and Hardy in 2009 losing to CM Punk.) I realize that the Bellas didn’t get a ‘loser gets fired’, but they still could be exiting with a fired story line like others have done.

Not really sad to see them go but at the same time I think WWE missed the boat for Kharma’s return, its all well and good not wanting to put the belt on her straight away but tonight was a great chance to use her to destroy the twins on their way out. Sigh…

3 things i learned from tonight’s Raw
1 – Once again it is pointless to expect something from WWE.
2 – Layla being champion isn’t going to change anything with the divas.
3 – People should get over Kharma returning. It may happen, but it’s pointless expecting her to return every match.

Keep in mind 2 things :
- You can not have a successful division if you don’t give it 5 minutes match
- You can not have a successful division if your divas can not work a five minutes match.

They can work a five minute match, if WWE gives them time. People always criticize Kelly for not being able to compete well, but when she is given time, she proves she can. WWE is to blame, not the divas.

Yet they have worked 10 minute matches at house shows and the girls from FCW have around 5 minute matches every week, plus longer ones at house shows.

The only reason i would hope it is a storyline is because i like Bella Twins, and it would be good to have them return. However it doesn’t bother me if they do go, and it has nothing to do with them, i just want to stop watching WWE, but i’m waiting for my favorite divas to leave.

I like the twins too, well I dont really dislike any divas lol. But I like the bellas to a bigger exent. This would be a good way to give them time off too. And as far as divas go, I only like 3; Eve, AJ, Layla. Those girls leave, I’ll be pretty much done.

as both me and my brother were watching we half expected them to go out with a bang, in similar fashion to mccool but maybe wwe didnt want to give the bellas the option of having a good send off if they rejected a new contract.
i have to admit i am not a fan of the bella twins but that interview they did with a french reporter which divadirt posted a week ago really made me smile at how well they came across in real life. i believe they are both smart and sassy and will do well without wwe. theres no point in pitying them for losing their jobs as they quit themselves they were not fired.

It’s rare that ANYBODY wins their final match. Shawn Michaels, Stone Cold Steve Austin, the Rock (as a full time active member of the roster), Ric Flair… All lost their last matches, there.

It’s the norm to lose your last match and put someone over in wrestling. When that doesn’t happen it’s usually a special case (like Edge) or political reasons…and I’M NOT SAYING TRISH PLAYED POLITICS it’s well known that there were special reasons why Vince decided to have her win the title.
I don’t hold it against any wrestler to loser your last match because going out “on your back” is a time honored tradition and something that you are supposed to do and should aspire to…

Yes you seem to be right about Chyna, I had in mind as her last match with a male(Val Venis) but it seems it was prior to judgement day in which she fought Lita and won.
However, should she had gotten a final match before departure, it wouldn’t had been any different and she would had gotten out with a loss.
I guess the main reason she didn’t was because she left herself.
Thanks about the info on Alundra, I posted about what I had remembered so I didn’t do any “wiki research”.
A DQ is a loss so it counts as a loss in Shaniquas case.
Nidias last match prior to the battle royal was a loss.
Lunas last singles match was vs Jaqueline in which she lost

Was anyone else hoping for a Bella Twins/Funkettes match? They never seemed to have any ideas for the Bellas other than have them endlessly interfere in each others’ matches. And with virtually no women’s tag division, it’s kind of pointless to keep them around.
