The Bella Twins’ First WWE Rival Weighs in on Their WWE Departure
Former WWE Diva and current TNA star Tara, real name Lisa Marie Varon, weighed in on the Bella Twins’ WWE departure exclusively to Diva Dirt.
Fans will recall that Lisa, who competed in WWE as Victoria, was the Bellas’ first ever opponent and feud on WWE television in 2008.
In a quote to Diva Dirt, Lisa said: “I wish them the best! They are very talented.”
As reported earlier, WWE is saying that the Bellas are “fired”, however, in reality, the twins’ contracts expire today (April 30th).

We all still think of her as “Victoria.” Even Taz accidentally called her Victoria on a TNA broadcast. It’s like how nobody ever calls Madusa “Alundra Blayze.”

He did it just last year at one of the PPVs, after she’d been “Tara” for two years. It was just a natural slip. Anyone who has been watching wrestling for more than three years sees her in action and automatically thinks “Victoria,” regardless of copyrights. :)

I remember the Bellas Debut. I wasjust getting over the fact that they released Cherry. I remember they’re rivalry against each other. And the first title reign. The first twin magic. Their backstage year. I’ll miss them.

The Bella’s debuted in August 2008? Nikki wasn’t revealed until November but she and Brie had been switching since August.

Doubt we’ll see they in a wrestling ring anytime soon or ever again. Doubt TNA would be interested and I doubt they want to even wrestle. Can’t say I’m a fan of theirs, but they are pretty girls.

Wrestling wise, I don’t care much for them. Both girls were solid in the ring, but should’ve tried to do different stuff with the exception of Twin Magic. How many sit-out facebusters have we seen in a women’s match? Exactly.
I will miss them. Nikki in particular. She was always “ON” when it came to personality. Brie was more of a natural face but IMO she just started to become a good heel towards the ending of her run. Better then she was during her title reign.

I swear when Victoria left the WWE it was because she was sick and tired of ‘putting over models’ and when she joined TNA she referenced this quite a bit. I just find it odd how she can deem the Bellas talented given that this is one of her last feuds in the company.
