Our Two Cents
Batting for Team DD this week, it’s Bobby giving us his personal opinion on this week’s topic:
Bobby: I’m sure it comes as no surprise that my favorite woman who hardly wrestled is none other than Miss Karen Jarrett! Karen got me invested into the Knockouts like I hadn’t been in so long, and that’s not all their fault but the thing is I am more entertained by seeing someone amuse me in segments than put on great matches. That’s not saying that I don’t enjoy watching matches, but sometimes I can drift off during one if I’m not seeing it in person, so having someone who was so funny and constantly on TNA every week getting the Knockouts segments was basically what I needed (and what I now miss).

Francisco Mata | Hard question… I would say Tiffany since she only wrestled a couple of matches on SmackDown. She was so gorgeous and she was an awesome general manager and she had the skill’s to back it up. |

Greg Demeule | Any decent female manager. If you find a good one, you’ll always be entertained. |

Josue Guzman | That’s an easy one: Dixie Carter. TNA’s most important and most powerful woman is truly making it in a man’s world. Though TNA isn’t as big as WWE and is often bashed for “being the home for WWE rejects”, that hasn’t stopped the company from being in the business for a milestone of ten years! If it wasn’t for Dixie, we may have not been introduced to some of the greatest moments in women’s wrestling history that include the incredible Awesome Kong/Gail Kim feud, stables such as The Beautiful People and Mexican America, Karen Jarret being crowned VP of the Knockouts, etc. |

Lorena Morales | Vickie Guerrero. The woman draws more heat with just two words than most heels do with a 10 minute promo. |

Nicole Bellinghausen | Dawn Marie. I would LOVE to watch her get more active in the ring as she had immense talent and charisma, more so.. she is a beautiful woman! |

Ozzy Valentine | No question, Stephanie McMahon! She was a valuable Women’s Champion despite the fact that she barely defended her title. This had everything to do w her manipulative nature outside the ring and her status as the spoiled, rotten McMahon princess. She even survived the three other formidable Divas like Chyna, Lita, and Trish Stratus during her active time as valet. And it was all her activity outside the ring that got the job done. If she couldn’t handle them in the ring, she had Triple H, Kurt Angle and her own father take them down. She helped make Raw and Smackdown must see TV. I think the current crop of valet Divas should take notes of Stephanie’s career. |

Tiffany for sure she really was growing on me and had such potential. I wish wwe didnt let her go she would have had some awesome matches with Natalya , Maxine , Tamina , Beth. Such a waste over a situtation with her boyfriend.

Gotta be Stephanie McMahon. Her run in the early 00′s was simply incredible. She didn’t wrestle much, although her match against Trish in 2001 was really physical. She cut some awesome promos and was a great heel!

For me, it has to be Terri Runnels, loved her ever since 1996, the risque Marlena character was so great in the Attitude Era, then followed PMS who were entertaining and Terri always looked like she was having fun coming down to the ring. A true great as a manager.

Kristal Marshall.
Just purely for the fact she could talk better than any woman in WWE today and sadly never materialised into the Diva she could have been. It goes without saying Ashley was a poor choice to win the Diva Search over Kristal, too.

Terri Runnels/Marlena I just loved that woman and Stephanie McMahon, she was the first woman to really catch my eye wen I started watching wrestling

Sable circa 2003. She had two of the biggest Diva feuds to happen on SmackDown with Torrie Wilson and Stephanie McMahon and you could count the times she stepped into the ring on one hand.

It’s a tie between Stephanie McMahon and Vickie Guerrero, and Karen Jarrett is a close 2nd!

Gotta be Stephanie she went from Vince’s daughter to being arguably the most powerful woman in wrestling in a few short years. I know Dixie technically owns TNA but Stephanie’s much more hands on and will have a much greater influence on the business going forward.

I would probably say Sharmell because not of people probably don’t know this or have seen it but she can cut one hell of a promo. Miss.Jackie granted she won tough enough 2 but she spent a big chunk of her career managing Rico and Charlie Haas like her only feud was with Dawn Marie. Cherry also she was just so cute and good at her character she made Deuce and Domino and she only wrestled for like 2 months.

This entirely depends on whether or not you consider Stephanie a wrestler or not , she has had her fare share of matches singles and non.
I personally consider steph as an attraction and not a wrestler she was like her daddy , he wrestled occasionally but majority of what they did was more through character than wrestling , and so in that sense this absoloutley goes to Stephanie.
Stephanie in a word was simply MEMORABLE.
Everytime you saw stephanie she said or did something that has embeded herself into every diva fans memory banks.
Her first marriage having the most memorable twist of them all.
Her heel turn on her father
Slapping her own mother
Her rivalry with Trish
Her reveal as ECW owner
And she did not half ass anything she did especially during her 2000-2001 run , she was taking serious bumps from just about everyone and was just memorable..I have always said the best trinity of women the wwe has and will ever see for a long time.

Stephanie stealing the Women’s Title was the best thing that ever happened to it. I remember, as a kid, being SO PISSED when they did the #1 Contender’s Battle Royal and then Lita got screwed over! It was a great way to elevate the title and make fans realize that someone worth supporting should be holding it.
It’s also worth noting that in Trish Stratus’ DVD (which, in fairness, was released in 2003), she said that out of all the matches of her career at that point, the one that fans come up to her the most about is the one with Stephanie at No Way Out.

I liked debra because she was attractive but classy…
terri because whenever she did get in the ring she surprised people because even thou she never wanted to wrestle she did a good job at it…she’d put girls on the roster today to shame….

Stephanie for sure. Her reign as Women’s Champion is what initially made people care about the title. People HATED her & hated it on her & were chomping @ the bit to see her drop it.
She commanded attention & to this day, a random Stephanie appearance makes people talk for months. Stephanie is pretty much “the” dominant woman in wrestling.

Steph tops my list. Great character and promos, and helped get two legends over: Lita & Trish.
Sable, of course, their first big crossover Diva.
Miss Elizabeth: STOLE Wrestlemania VII. A perfectly written storyline climaxes with that Crowning Moment of Awesome. That crowd reaction has to be seen to be believed. I’ve never seen anything quite like it before with a scripted storyline, and I dare say we’ll never see anything like it, again.
This wouldn’t be the last time the Ultimate Warrior would have a Wrestlemania match stolen by a woman. What was supposed to be his big comeback match at WM XII is now manily remembered as the debut of Sable.
Terri Runnels: Had that whole Nancy Sinatra look going, and she could bump like a champ when called on to.
Maria: Got a backstage interviewer job, created a character for it, and got over, HUGE. Current Divas, take notes. At one point, she literally made watching paint dry entertaining.
Torrie Wilson: Can’t really explain why. There were a ton pf pretty girls in that company. But, Torrie just had a special charm about her.
