WWE Signed Independent Star Finally Reporting to FCW

The wait is over!

Former SHIMMER star, Tenille Tayla, who was signed by WWE last year, has relocated to Tampa, Florida and is due to begin in WWE’s developmental territory, FCW shortly.

In a message on Facebook, Tenille wrote: “Thank you to all my family and friends for the love and support. It’s been a long hard journey but happy and proud to say I am now getting a chance to fulfil my dream of not only living in the USA but working for the WWE. I am so excited to start this new journey in my life… Can hardly believe it still! :D Hellooooo Tampa!! Let’s get this show on the road!”

Australian-born Tenille won a WWE contract after impressing officials in an open tryout in March 2011. However, she has had a long road to making it to WWE. Her FCW debut was delayed due to her having surgery on pre-existing shoulder injuries last year.

Good luck to Tenille as she embarks on this new chapter in her career.

    Yay.

    • perceval

      Agreed.

    • Raekon

      Fully agree! :)

  • Rhawk

About time too. Brings up my spirits from Maxine leaving at least… Cant wait to see Tenille on NXT since I know she doesn’t need to be in FCW too long.

  • HeyChrissy

    Super Excited!

  • ricky_says_hi

i’m a little worried after seeing this picture of her. she looks very similar to Rachelle St Claire though Rachelle is a bit more muscular. we all remember how it seemed like AJ was replacing Jenny Cash…

    • perceval

I thought it seemed AJ was replacing Mickie.

      • ricky_says_hi

there was a girl in FCW called Jenny Cash that looked almost identical to AJ. she tore her ACL and AJ was signed while she was injured. a couple of months later Jenny got released. everyone was suspecting that AJ (as well as Maxine who also looked similar) was signed because she had the same features

Maxine looked like Melina lol..thats when I knew Melina was on her way out.

  • Jhonmarco

Didn’t Lance Storm say she was never signed though?
Eh, whatever. Excited for her, not exactly a personal favorite of mine, but it’s always great to see an indy girl get a chance in WWE.

    • ricky_says_hi

well she was injured at the time so it was probably them waiting until she was recovered before signing her

  • jcarcano12

    Finally

  • WhalenX12

I just realized. With only nine active Divas before, Maxine leaving makes it eight. Pooo. I hope they bring up and FCW to the main roster of Raw or Smackdown.

  • darkangels

I think wwe just be waisting those ladies time most will be in fcw or on NXT to thay are release or quit.

  • SherriShepherdWWE

Another Awesome new diva for down in FCW, i cant wait to see some of the new match ups down in FCW, with the recent debut buggy Nova, along with Paige, Sofia Cortez and Caylee Turner, down there and also now with Tenille and Rachelle St Claire soon to be debuting, it should be some good matches coming up,

Looks like WWE is back to signing possible INdy Women ( hope i dont jynx it :)

  • WWFoverWWE

I wonder how she’ll be misused.

  • Indymark75

One diva goes and another arrives. Although Tenille may not be a top indy girl, at least she had ring experience prior to getting signed to development. Let’s hope she doesn’t suffer the fate of Maxine.

She looks so much like Tiffany. Hopefully they don’t give her a cheerleader gimmick then they would really be slapping Tiffany in the face. Kelly’s storyline with Drew, then Layla having her theme and now they have a girl who looks like her. But congrats to Tenille. Hope she has a lovely career.

    • Kim099

I agree her and kayla armstong looks a bit like Tiffany

      I miss Tiffany :(

  • KatNip

Well she has the looks that the WWE go for but hopfully she will be used as much more then eye candy. The women’s divison is in need of some much needed over haul. And hopfuly with the new signing it’s a step in the right direction.

  • Nostalgia

I’m being positive. I believe that the Divas division is in a stalemate because the WWE wants to wait for the prime moment to pull the trigger on an entire revamped division. Natalya, Beth, Naomi, Eve, Layla, AJ, Paige, Sophia, Raquel, Caylee, Kharma, Aksana, etc… The division should be perfect within the next year

  • Nostalgia

Im being positive that the WWE is silently planning a major overhaul for the divas division. Like bring in a female nexus. And the current divas you want gone, have this nexus take them out thus writing them out. And have Kharma Naomi Natalya and Beth team up eventually to stop this female Nexus

  • shameronstar

With Maxine’s surprising departure making me sad, Tenille’s long awaited arrival to wwe makes me happy again! Its seems strange the way things are happening it feels like the wwe are trying to slowly kill off the diva’s division, but at the same they’ve been hiring more actually wrestlers more so then they had previously in a LONG time. It’s almost as if they are trying to reformat the division with reliable and competent workers because when you hire so many people who don’t have prior experience you always run that risk of getting people who either 1) aren’t physically and mentally strong enough to become wrestlers and/or 2) they might not be passionate or patient enough to last a long time.

Im really glad to hear this, i actually heard a rumour she never signed an official deal with WWE, so i am really glad

  • http://www.youtube.com/user/DivasManiaHD xILOVENATTIEx

    Also what about Taya Valkeryie?

    • mikie91

She’s not signed. I don’t if it was on her part or not. She’s actually wrestling/valeting down in Mexico right now.

      • http://www.youtube.com/user/DivasManiaHD xILOVENATTIEx

But didn’t get signed to a contract last year?

        • Raekon

It was rumoured but never really confirmed.

    Awesome…

  • LadyGoDiva

Well that sounds great to hear because with the problems she had with her shoulder kinda made me worried that she would make it so thankfully is coming to FCW.

I have seen a slight increase of female wrestlers then pulling models from magazines maybe their getting the message that finding models isn’t the way to go anymore. And maybe this could help the divas division a little bit.

  • CJDippa1

does anyone know about the status of that Rachel Carr chick? She was the one who does something for living by posing as Britney Spears?

    • SherriShepherdWWE

she didnt end up signing a contract with WWE,

      • CJDippa1

damn how do you know these stuff? LOL

  • http://ashmultimedia.wordpress.com melon2617

She’s quite a pretty girl. If she’s charismatic and can go in the ring, I can see big things for her.

    • Jhonmarco

I wouldn’t say she’s charismatic, but she can definitely go in the ring.

  • Raekon

Happy to see she finally arrived!
Can’t wait to see her in some in ring action. :)
