There’s nothing quite like a crazy female in wrestling to stir things up.
Mickie James rose to fame in 2005 due to her overenthusiastic affection for Trish Stratus, while Victoria had the opposite problem — she was overenthusiastic about hurting Trish!
Then there’s the likes of innovators such as Luna and the eccentric Sensational Sherri who, while no longer with us, will not be forgotten for leaving their mark.
And for present day, there’s AJ. A young Diva who has grabbed everyone’s attention with her off-balance tendencies on WWE television in recent weeks.
Here at Diva Dirt, we too dig crazy chicks so much so that our latest Diva Dirt TV takes a look at some of our favorite females who have helped pave the way for young AJ to get down with her bad self.

WWE has always had success with the psycho-Diva storyline. In the past decade, it has been used three times…….

All three times, it was a success and really added to the Divas storylines.

This just shows how weak AJ psycho routine is she is like Disney Channel crazy Luna, Victoria, Mickie and Daffney are all epic. AJ has not done one thing memorable compared to these ladies when it comes to being crazy. I cant pick a favorite Luna promos were perfect, Mickie played that character to a tea (hope she returns to it) Victoria who i call the Sheila Carter of WWE LOVED IT, Daffney Harley Quinn ughhh memories. AJ dont belong in the category

She’s also lost control and attacked the likes of Natalya, Kaitlyn and Layla as viciously as one her size can really and the dressing up as Kane was pretty kooky in my opinion…could another level be gone to with her? Probably yeah. The thing is, I don’t think she’s meant to be full blown pyschotic like Mickie and Victoria were for awhile. She’s emotionally unstable with the potential to go completely off the deep end. If they have Punk reject her in actually having a relationship with her I say bring on full blown psycho.

AJ isn’t as crazy compared to Victoria, Mickie etc. AJ hasn’t attack DB yet and doesn’t whenever she has an opportunity, that would get her over big time if she did. If it was Victoria or Luna, they wouldn’t have thought twice about attacking him with something. I don’t like how WWE play her up to be one of the craziest because there have been much better psycho’s. though its down to booking i suppose.

I don’t necessarily agree that attacking Bryan would get her over big time. The thing is, even though he’s a heel he still gets mixed reactions and sometimes a lot more cheers than boos. If they wanted her to attack them they’d have to be careful of where they did it or risk getting a reaction they wouldn’t want.

It’s also worth noting that the psycho Victoria & Mickie storylines led to the two best Women’s Championship matches in Wrestlemania history, at WM 19 & 22.

I absolutely love these women’s run as psychos. Simply amazing, though I may love Mickie’s just a bit more as it was a part of (IMO) the best diva storyline to ever grace TV.

Victoria was my favorite! Everything from her look, to her music, to her style made her seem legit crazy. Close second is Daffney.

I think AJ could make the list, but the thing that helped all of her predecessors stand out in the long run is that they each had a least one historic feud with a popular face so in order for AJ to cement her spot in the “Crazy Chick Hall of fame” AJ needs to turn full heel at some point, become more dangerous physically, and most important needs a career defining feud with the right person and the only current divas who she could do that with depending on the direction that could be taken are Kelly Kelly or Kharma!

While I would like to see an AJ/Kharma feud, I don’t know if the AJ as a heel scenario would work with Kharma, just given the sheer size difference. Kharma would only need one good shot to take her down. Physically she could do more damage to Kelly and be more of a threat to her.

Even next to Kelly Kelly, AJ looks tiny lol the only divas she could match up against were Maxine and Layla. No one believed AJ taking down Natalya and Kaitlyn (at least I didn’t), even AJ taking down Kelly would get an intense eye roll from me.

AJ’s actually only two inches shorter and while billed to be about 95 pounds by WWE, I’ve heard she’s more about 107. She’s really not that much smaller than Kelly at all.

Victoria & Mickie were my favorites. “All The Things She Said” was the perfect theme for Victoria during her feud with Trish. Loved her Titantron then, too, with the fist opening with the eye in the palm.

i enjoyed victorias the most i think i was like this girl needs help biting finger nails talking to mirrors lol…im not a massive fan of aj’s because they had her beat down other divas who tear aj apart & her acting is abit off for me…

I think they have all played different types of psycho characters amazingly.
Luna has always been my very favorite and she’s the original psycho. So I’m always happy to see other crazy female characters, especially when they all play them so well.

Luna hands down was the best psycho diva of the past!
Sensantional Sherri and Bull Nakano came after as did the “Monster Ripper” Bertha Faye (before she switched to the flowery stuff).
Then came Psycho Victoria which was totally awesome!
Mickie followed and so did Psycho Rosa (unfortunately only in FCW :/ ).
Now we have AJ which is doing great!
So all in all I enjoyed all of these girls!

I mean this only as a constructive criticism, the DDTV graphics look pretty terrible but at least Jake Verterano stopped the whole Mario Lopez bobble-head thing on every.single.word. It got to be really distracting from what he was reporting in the first couple of episodes.

All in all i have to give it to Victoria yes Mickie was great and Daffney is to but far as character you can tell Victoria watched a lot of Young & The Restless taking from Sheila Carter the most notorious psycho from TV the slow stalking the talking to mirros glass to Christy Head the jerking biting nails seeing things hallucinating the music omg that was my fav song then its like it was perfection

I don’t really see AJ as crazy.. I see her as a more of a manipulator. The reason I say that is because unlike other diva’s who were “psycho”, AJ seems to know what she’s doing, we just don’t know what she’s doing. Which is why I think a heel AJ vs a face Kharma would be excellent. I think it would work a lot better than the generic face vs heel Kharma everyone seems to want.. Yes AJ is smaller thats why she needs to be heel so she can cheat.
I’d have to say that Victoria is my favorite psycho diva ever, she played the part well and her look fit the part.
