On this day in history:
September 26th, 1999 | Only a few weeks prior, Ivory retained her Women’s Title in the first-ever Divas Hardcore match against Tori, and she was determined to do the same at 1999′s Unforgiven. This time Luna Vachon was her opponent, and Ivory started things off by giving Luna a surprise trashcan to the head. From there, the fight took them to a copier machine, a forklift and a dustpan, whose metal handle was used to put Luna down for the count after a failed bit of interference by Tori.

This match was one of my all time favourites. Back when I was proud to be a wrestling fan. I can’t believe they squeezed so much into such a short match. AND the crowd loved them.

My favorites were the ones between Trish & Victoria. I also especially liked Melina vs Mickie, and am amused that the only streaming versions you can find are censored, everything going black for a second because Candice was a bit… overexposed when it was broadcast live. :)

The sound of the clip were unfortunately off but the match was still fun back then. :)
Loved all these 3 and the hard work they put in their matches the whole time.
One of the greatest time for the womens division. :)
The only thing I disliked was the Luna ended up being always a jobber and losing like every single match. :/
Hilarious scene when Luna started making copies of Ivorys squeezed face and the commentary of JR and Jerry “I never saw a vertical pin in my life”, “What an idiot!”. :p

Luna Vachon<3
I liked this match a lot. Let's go back to this, yes?

Luna was the greatest. R.I.P.
It’s a crime that she never held the Women’s Title.

Blame Sable. The WWF wanted to give Luna a run as champion, but their resident prima donna refused to job to her and kept making excuses for not dropping the title. They were better off once she left.

But WWF/E dropped the ball by not giving Luna the title at least ONCE. Especially when they stripped Sable of the belt only to give it to Debra. Seriously, they could’ve at least awarded the title to an ACTUAL wrestler, not another bleach blonde with even faker tits than Sables. -_-

Jim Ross made this match more memorable with “reach out and touch somebody”

The great thing about Luna was that she love wrestling so much, that winning championships wasn’t necessarily her #1 priority. She went out and gave her all everytime- even when she was wrestling a mop (a.k.a.) Sable. She made the match look AMAZING and that is what was so great about her.
WWE could AT LEAST put her in the Hall of Fame- she earned it (more so than Sunny for sure)

I’m pretty sure, at this point, they wish they’d picked some deserving woman besides Sunny… Luna, Sable, Trish, Lita…
