Former WWE Divas Champion, Jillian Hall, worked a dark match for TNA last night prior to the live Impact Wrestling broadcast.
Jillian, who lives locally in the Orlando, Florida area, faced former WWE colleague Tara, aka Lisa Marie Varon, in the match.
Dark matches are usually tryouts for roster spots, even for veteran talent; in the past, both Winter and Serena have worked tryout matches despite just coming off WWE runs. Obviously in Winter’s case, she was hired.
Jillian requested her WWE release in late 2010 after being taken off television and named Divas trainer in developmental territory, FCW (now NXT).

She was more of a champion than many girls who have held that belt (even if I love them all) Jillian is an amazing wrestler who deserved to be treated correctly

NO! The KO div is comprised almost entirely of former Divas as it is. They don’t need another one, much less one that was NOTHING in WWE. She was a comic relief jobber that no one took seriously for a second; really, what’s the point? She already said on the Afterbuzz show that she only wrestles sometimes and she doesn’t want to make that her whole life anymore, meaning that she’s got more miles behind her than in front of her. They don’t need someone like that. What would she have to offer that they don’t already get from Gail and Tara?
Here’s a crazy thought. Instead of trying out yet another former Diva (one who’s been irrelevant for years at that), why not give a chance to someone new, young and fresh who hasn’t had an opportunity yet? Jillian had her chance in WWE for a number of years and the results were better left forgotten. If it were a choice between the two, give me Leva Bates any day.
Oh, and just for the record, Jillian was a complete joke in WWE. Bruce Prichard, who used to write for WWE, is now head of TNA creative. If they were to sign her, she’d most likely just suffer the same fate Winter did when Prichard took over, so why bother?

From what we know (rumors only offcourse), Winter wasnt very populair backstage in WWE, Jillian was however. I dont think she would have gotten a dark match if Bruce Prichard didnt like her.
Will it do anything for the knockout division? Probably not. What i’ve seen from her since leaving WWE she was very rusty, a shell of what she once was in OVW (kinda like Winter). And the problem with the knockouts isnt the talent, but the creative team.

Maybe it is not just TNA offering them the spot but the rep the TNA now has with it’s female talent and writers that is putting women off pushing themselves to the company?

I willing to accept Jillian if she’s willing to improve cause she uses to be awesome back in 2005-2006 then she let herself go downhill… Mickie Melina Candice and Michelle all surpassed her tremendously…. not the biggest fan of jillian and that bad gimmick is probably to blame. however if she is signed i wont be completely against it on the chance she improves her wrestling – i believe there are many top indy names who would elevate the KO division but yet they go for another average ex diva who did nothing special in wwe.

If TNA doesn’t hire this great female wrestler I’m going to hate them!! I’m such a fan of her! I was angry with WWE for the gimmicks they gave her but I hope TNA use her to be knockouts champion. Jillian’s move-set is amazing and I know that she will use her 450 splash on TNA! :O

OMG I hope they sign her. Jillian is the bomb!. They wont give her the singing gimmick again, 1- she has done it for ages, 2- its been done slightly with mickie and tara & 3- they can do some dumb moves but not that dumb. For the ppl who would prefer indy wrestlers….. I agree that would be great, but just because they hire ex divas doesn’t mean they don’t deserve to get a shot with tna. Especially when they are buried by wwe and not able to wrestle. Jillian has great talent and it would be a waste to not hire her. Again to the haters tna is better off rebuilding the division back up and then bring in the indy girls. it would be a waste to bring them in now and they just get looked over.

I have a strong feeling that If TNA signs Jillian she won’t be coming alone I hope and Pray she brings Melina remeber shes a Indy wrestler too now lol. If that happens Melina and Jillian can come in as heels and be a tag team a feud against Sarita and Rosita for the Knockout tag titles that’ll be a good way to put Sarita and Rosita back on T.V. Possibillites wow That would be my dream if that happen, but keep in mind Jillian and Melina had a match and they went clubbin’ they’re like best friends I hope Tna was watching closely at thier match and in May this year they considered bringing Melina in Tna we shall see in the upcoming weeks..

Let me guess she’ll have her gimmick in WWE. Even though her gimmick is more entertaining than this Mr. Anderson crap. I don’t know why people think Melina is so good. She was good up until her injury and ever since her last WWE match it’s been botchy. I haven’t seen anything of her lately since I’m not a fan of hers.
