TNA Knockout, Tara, real name Lisa Marie Varon, has praised TNA creative team member, Dave Lagana, for the recent upswing in the Knockouts division.
The Knockouts have seen more emphasis on storyline over the past month or so with a heated rivalry between Tara and Knockouts Champion, Brooke Tessmacher, being the focal point. In fact, the storyline has been garnering some of Impact Wrestling’s top ratings; Tara and Brooke have either been the top rated segment in recent weeks, or the second top rated segment.
The strong storyline has been a welcome change from the previous “challenger of the month” set-up we saw in the division, with the Knockouts Champion seemingly facing a new adversary every month.

In an exclusive interview with Diva Dirt, Tara, who will face Brooke for the title at Bound for Glory tonight, credits Lagana, who has also worked in WWE and Ring of Honor, for the strong storyline.
“I think that’s a testament to Dave Lagana,” she says. “I think Lagana took us, the girls division, under his wing and he’s really been putting a lot of thought [in it], not just throwing us out there to have a two minute match.”
Tara continues: “We have a good creative staff now — Bruce Prichard, Eric Bischoff, Dave Lagana. We have a good team. It’s exciting. [...] They see how well the ratings are excelling, and how valuable the Knockouts are. I’m thankful that we have Dave Lagana.”
Tara and Brooke Tessmacher will duke it out for the Knockouts Title tonight at Bound for Glory on pay per view.

Bruce Prichard & Eric Bischoff
Those are two names I’m highly skeptical about. We all know how much Bruce Prichard hates womens wrestling and Eric Bischoff has a tendency to be a yes man to anything or anyone….hes 50-50….hopefully this SL doesnt end completely and if things starting to suck right now, you can blame both Bruce and Eric for that :\

I am skeptical too. But I am willing to give them a chance. The knockouts used to be one of the highest rated segments. It is starting to be that way again. Hopefully they see the value in the female talent that they have and are trying to capitalize on that.

Everyone keeps saying that Bruce Prichard hates women’s wrestling but is there any real truth to it, or merely hearsay, speculation and conjecture based on unfounded rumors over the years? Lisa’s always been a very candid and straight shooter, At this point in her career i don’t think she’d take to lying simply to cover her ass. Who’s to say that Bischoff and Prichard (if what’s been said of them in the past is to be believed) haven’t changed their stance as of late?

upswing?? what upswing? where’s Mickie, Sarita, Rosita, Taeler, Madison? where’s the KO tag team title.
sorry but I won’t admit to an upswing just yet.

I’m probably in the minority, but this feels very corporate.
“I love TNA! It’s sooooo great!!!!”
Which is all well and good. She works for the company, so naturally she should be towing the corporate line.
