On this day in history:
October 16th, 2011 | Despite being one of the longest serving Knockouts in TNA, Velvet Sky had yet to capture the Knockouts Title. At 2011′s Bound For Glory, she had her shot, competing in a Four Corners match against champ Mickie James, Madison Rayne and Winter. Karen Jarrett served as referee and was particularly opposed to the idea of Velvet winning. However, a change in referees was necessary after Winter accidentally spit her blinding substance in Karen’s eyes. Traci Brooks came in as the substitute and ended up counting a pin for Velvet, crowning her Knockouts Champion for the first (and so far only) time.

I always felt like poor Velvet got the shaft. Her whole storyline, all that build just to be fed to Gail Kim with a side of fries.
She seems to be loving her Rated V clothing line, but sometimes I wish she’d appear in WWE. Love to see her bitchy heel vs bitchy Eve.
