In addition to helping them secure a victory, a wrestler’s finishing move can also serve as an extension of their personality and in-ring style. From Lita‘s moonsault to the Sable Bomb to the Glam Slam to the Widow’s Peak, there were and are many finishing moves as memorable as they are devastating. Which move, then, is the best of them all?
Based on your nominations, we picked the 16 most popular moves to advance to our knock-out bracket tournament. Keep your eyes peeled over the next several weeks as you will be asked to vote between some of women’s wrestling’s best loved finishing moves and help us whittle it down from just 16 to one! Never seen or heard of the O-Face before this, but I don’t really like it. Looks like it hurts though lol.
Voted for The Last Call/Code Red… just because it’s one I’m familiar with and one of the finishers I love.

I highly doubt the O-Face will win since people will vote for what they know over what they think is a better finisher, which makes me sad… but I’m still voting for the O-Face since I believe it is more impressive that the Last Call, which to be fair is saying something since that is a damn good move in its own right.

Why isn’t MsChif credited for the Last Call/Code Red? She was doing that move long before Melina ever did it. Not that MsChif was the first one to use it either, but she still had it before Melina.

I’ve never seen the OFace before this, but tbh it looks really sloppy. You can’t really tell who is getting hurt, or who is doing what. It should be called the “Train Wreck”.

I recorded the clip, and it’s a Top Rope Diving Stunner. Athena jumps from the top rope, spins in mid-air, and catches her opponents head, and drill them in a stunner. My angle was off on that one, but after re-watching the match with ACW production, this variation was sick!

I voted for the o-face even thought I admit as well.. this was my first time seeing the move AND I had to watch the video THREE times LoL to figure out what exactly happened, but the guy who jumps in front of the camera was the actual part that made me kinda miss what happened.
If Melina’s leg split leg drop finisher whatever the heck it’s called was on here instead of the last call, she’d of had my vote.

the O-face for me it just looks sick!!! I’ll give Melina credit she is one of the few divas who take risks with her finishers! I remember the first time I saw her do that move it just looked amazing!!

I see Athena every month for ACW, and top rope diving stunner (O-Face) gets sicker and sicker everytime she executes it.
Not hating on the Code-Red, but it’s been done so many times by different wrestlers (males and females).

The O-Face without having to watch the clip for the last call, seen melina’s finisher too many times and would give it 4* whereas this is the first time i’ve seen athena’s finisher and it looks like a 5* deadly finisher so it gets my vote.

O-Face here, one of the more exciting finishers of the past few years.
The Yoshi Tonic (Last Call/Code Green) however is just a flashy move that looks as fake as a wrestling move can be. The only person who could make that move look painful is Super Shisa, the inventor of the move. He always came up with nice variations and more importantly, he executed the move superfast when you didnt see it coming.

The only problem I have with the “O-Face’ is that the opponent can easily side step it and have it fail completely. This is the only time I don’t really know who to vote for since I’m not a huge fan of Melina’s “Last Call” finisher as much as I’m a fan of her “Primal Scream.” Had the “O-Face” went up against the “Primal Scream,” then I’d vote for Melina without question. I’d vote for the “O-Face” over the “Last Call” if it weren’t so easy to counter/dodge. I know the “O-Face” will win, so I’ll probably vote for that.

I’m sorry, and I know you could blame the clip or whatever, but I looked it up and saw no better clip of the O-Face, so I’m going to go off of what I was shown because I’m not about to spend hours looking into this….the O-Face looked really sloppy and horribly done and just looked like a huge confusion and hot mess, so I voted for the Last Call/Code GREEN (Not Code Red). Although, I have my gripes with the Last Call maneuver as well with how Melina does it, because she takes too long of a pause trying to make it a mainstream move with her screams with her opponent is just sitting there holding her on their back, when in reality, while she’s screaming, they could easily pull her arms back and go into some type of Gory bomb/Widow’s Peak. But I digress. I like MsChif’s version better because while she will normally scream, it’s not like as long as Melina. MsChif keeps it believable.

Last Call is essentially a delayed sunset flip which looks like it does no damage whatsoever. While O-Face looked a little jagged (it may have just been the angles etc. of the film) at least it looks like it makes an impact, which is essentially what a finisher is all about.
