Wow. I woke up kind of stressed out that I might not be able to squeeze this Redux in before I had to dash off to work. Needless to say, I was kind of wrong. I didn’t get a chance to watch the entire episode of Raw thanks to YouTube absolutely sucking now when it comes to videos, so you can look forward to some type of article later on in the week detailing everything I have missed about the AJ scandal. I haven’t written an article in a LONG time so I’m kind of looking forward to it. I have a lot of spare time this week starting tomorrow, so those you read my Reduxes and enjoy them will have something to look forward too.
Okay, but back on track. It was kind of a blink and you-missed-it match this week featuring Layla and Kaitlyn for the number one contendership. Eve Torres was on commentary and if I’m being honest, probably my favorite part of all of this was Eve’s incredible outfit. As someone who works in a professional environment, I can appreciate how hot yet classy the champ looked. Anyway, lets take a look at the match. And please, don’t blink!!!
Nice.
The crowd oooohs at Kaitlyn’s display of strength, and really how can you not? She’s incredible when it comes to physical prowess, and I’m totes envious of her body. Anyway, she goes to slam Layla to the canvas, but Layla gets her feet down to stop it. However, Kaitlyn is able to hit a reverse DDT, and ends up getting a win in like the quickest match ever. Eve doesn’t seem to thrilled at the prospect of having to face the “amateur” and Kaitlyn rolls out of the ring on Eve’s side and stares her down. Survivor Series is set for the Divas.
Well, as quick as the match was it was pretty decent. I like how Kaitlyn and Layla work together, and I usually enjoy Eve on commentary. She’s definitely one of the best speakers out of all the Divas and she’s coming into her character very nicely. I also like the fact that Michael Cole touched on the fact that the Night of Champions mystery about who attacked Kaitlyn is still unsolved. It’s good to see them not forgetting a storyline for a change.
I think come Sunday, the mystery will end up solved. I’m not entirely sure who attacked Kaitlyn but part of me hopes that it’s a new Diva. I’m ready to see someone from FCW/NXT join the main roster, so my fingers are crossed. I think it would be fresh and exciting to bring someone in who is new to the scene and into an actual storyline, instead of just having some random debut. For the most part, the WWE has been doing great things with the Divas lately, so there is hope. Tonight’s little match was kind of a hiccup, but I’m going to just brush it off. Kaitlyn is finally getting her one-on-one title match and I think I’m going to enjoy what she and Eve might be able to put together with some time. I think they match up well in size and strength, and even though Eve is more skilled, I think their styles are similar. I look forward to seeing this title match on Sunday and I’m excited to finally learn who really attacked Kaitlyn. I think whoever that person is, is working for Eve, and will try and get involved in the match.
I’m excited for Sunday, needless to say. Survivor Series is always my number two pay-per-view of the year anyway behind the Royal Rumble. Like I stated above, I’ll be back sometime this week with an entire article devoted to this dramatic AJ/SuperCena scandal and more than likely, I’ll be the one bringing you guys the Survivor Series review. So lots of Khaleesi, lots of good fun, and most importantly, lots of Diva goodness this week! Until then… Cryssi out!

omg I love watching Kaitlyn being in the ring so much as of late. Every single week you can see an improvement; purely brilliant.
I adore Kaitlyn but I don’t think it’s time for Eve to drop the championship just yet, and if she does, I hope she still maintains the top heel diva… maybe add Alicia into the fray soon though please.

I hope the mystery is revealed soon because a new diva could really liven things up and at this point it seems like they have no other direction to go if they want to continue this storyline! Hopefully, it leads to some type of gimmick match at tlc in December:) I mean I really liked the 1st ever diva tag team table match, and I think another or maybe even a streetfight or ladder match could do wonders for everyone one involved:)

That’s about to change. Mickie James, Madison Rayne, Gail Kim, Miss Tessmacher, and Taelor Hendrix returned on the recent Impact tapings.

But will TNA keep them around and actually use them is the question. Or will they go back to the end of the line until it’s their turn for a title feud as it has been the case for them this year.

There will be people harping on hos short this match was but given that they’ve been better about giving the girls more time on Raw lately and as long as the uber short matches don’t go back to being the norm I can look past it. I’m looking forward to Eve and Kaitlyn’s match on Sunday and hopefully we get some build on Smackdown too.

Yes,it was short, but it wasn’t a bad match. And idk what people were talking about last night when they said they noticed botches because I didn’t see any to be honest.Layla stopped doing her crossbody because Kaitlyn was too close to her,so she went for a kick instead. And yes,Kaitlyn almost slipped when she had Layla in the reverse ddt hold, but she didn’t drop her.

There was no botch but the first two pin attempt from Layla aren’t clean (Kaitlyn shoulders are up). Layla slipped on the turnbuckle that’s why she kicked Kaitlyn, and at the end Kaitlyn looked like she was going for a body-slam…
But it was a so short match I don’t think we could expect something from that.
(And I don’t think we should expect something from the diva division for now till a new diva come).

I thought Kaitlyn was going for a bodyslam too at the end but with how suddenly she’s ended her matches with her finisher, I think it was just meant to show that’s she’s got a lot of ways she can hook it in. Not too bad of a thing. People want her to use a big power move as a finisher and while I’m not opposed to it, a sudden finisher can at least story wise lead to more unpredictabilty in the match.

I don’t understand why everyone is like “I hope we figure out who the attacker is soon” I mean.. hasn’t it pretty much been confirmed to be Aksana? I’m not to optimistic for them to turn their back on that and bring someone new in. Why would Aksana lie and say she did it? Unless her and Eve are trying to pull the wool so that the attacker can strike again. But that seems to deep for WWE lol

yeah i don’t understand it either. It was clear that Aksana is the mistery attacker.

Aksana never said it was her, she just said she received a text message from Eve, and Michael Cole told Eve on the commentary that the mystery was still not solved!

Oh I suppose that makes sense, so where we’re at in the storyline is Aksana claims she was told to do the attack.. but didn’t go through with it? Couldn’t that justify her as a face then?
Crazy_J Reply:

Aksana also said the words “it was a mistake” …well what was a mistake? Her being blamed as the attacker? Eve’s text message to her? Or what?

Anyone else notice Layla did the Bella Buster?

Short match but great! It looks like the Inverted DDT is the official Kaitlyn’s finisher.
at 11:33 pm
I thought the match was sweet but short! Lots of wrestling! And Kate should have shoved Eves punk ass back down on the chair like Melina and Jazz did to McCool and Stratus lol
Great job Layla and Kate! U girls rock and makes me wonder how Kelly and many others held back the division haha.. Problem solved
at 12:12 am
i hope kaitlyn wins
at 12:15 am
I like that layla did the facebuster & way better than kelly or the bellas ever did….kaitlyns finisher is way to weak she doesn’t put any force on it plus for a woman of her size it doesn’t make sense…
at 12:40 am
Sorry Kaitlyn please get a new finisher because that inverted DDT looks weak on TV. Maybe positioning her opponent in a reverse DDT and picking them up and slamming them back down would be more effective. Devon Dudley used to do that as his finisher

I just looked it up and D-Von’s Saving Grace would actually be a perfect finisher for Kaitlyn to use if she really needed stick to the reverse ddt theme!
at 3:59 am
Can I just say that Eve looks absolutely STUNNING in that picture!
Yeah short match, but I guess it served it’s purpose as putting Kaitlyn as the #1 contender to the Diva’s title.
Let’s hope they put on a somewhat lengthy, decent match at Survivor Series.
Loved Layla channeling a little Bella Buster there! ;)
And I also saw people moaning about Kaitlyn botching… I’m sorry but I didn’t see her botch once, to me all I saw was Laya accidentaly slipping twice once on the ropes, which she covered up in great fashion! :) And the other time as she landed into the inverted reverse DDT.
Otherwise, I look forward to Smackdown!!! =D
at 6:23 am
That corner thing wasn’t a botch, I’m pretty sure that was supposed to happen.
at 8:22 pm
On a side note, Anyone that saw the Fandango vignette notice the girl that was dancing with him look like Lizzy Valentine?
at 8:25 pm
Short match but this storyline is getting boring btw! I want Kaitlyn as champion so we can see Eve having a major power on the Divas Division! (:
at 11:00 pm
I am sorry but kaitlyns body is just not attractive to me at all. :/ She needs a new theme. The squash match was really uneccasary tbh. Layla shouldn’t be treated like that. Shes better than that! I don’t see the botch with the finisher @ the end. Can someone explain how the botch happened?

I agree about her body, not attractive at all.

with eve gonna get married i think Kaitlin gonna win
at 9:06 pm
I love both these girls, their doing a really good job. I wish Layla would develop more of a personality, I know that’s not her fault by any means though.. there’s a high power isn’t there.
